𖤝 ៸៸Edelweiss and Kron's fratricide Edelweiss and Kron are the main doomed siblings of my vampire AU, taking heavy inspiration from the biblical pair of Abel and Cain, the offspring of Adam and Eve.
The example of Abel and Cain, by the bible, is the first case of sibling spite and murder ever witnessed, tangling well with the more christian themes of my AU.
First and foremost, they wield the names within their full namesakes: Edelweiss Cainmoor and Abelkron. This clearly draws the line and their roles within the hypothetical scenarios of symbolic representation and glorification of values in their stories. Cain was the first to be born, Abel was the first to die in humanity's existence. Naturally, this parallels their rivalry and motives also well. Abelkron was always favoured for his intuition, looks and achievements that gaped the distance between them further. To prove herself to the Vampire King in exchange for a better life, Edelweiss was challenged to murder her brother in order to prove her unwielding loyalty to the monarch. And so she did.
In Islamic tradition, the story of Cain and Abel portrays Cain as the first murderer driven by jealousy and lust, guided by the devil, and punished with guilt and disgrace.
