Another Eidos of Dragons Vein R Guide
Basic FAQ
What is Another Eidos of Dragons Vein R?
Another Eidos of Dragons Vein R is a tower defense game that features gay porn. If either of those sound good you might like it. The gay porn seems to be branching out a bit from just vanilla scenes. The art is also made by many different artists. If you are the even an casual gay furry porn enjoyer, you might recognize some names.
Will there be straight porn?
Lol lmao. For real though, the women will get date scenes not sex. Take it or leave it.
How much porn is in the game so far?
There is a decent amount now. Both in the interaction screen and added in the story. A lot more of it was data mined so it should be added Soon™. How long ago it was found in the files and how quickly it is added seems unrelated. They tend to add content for story or event related characters.
How are the systems of the game? Will I have to whale to get my furry husband?
The flyer system technically allows you to pull 6 stars. Don't expect it to happen. The flyers also only has the base set of characters so no newer ones yet. If you have a character you really want to fish for rerolling is your best bet. A ten pull of flyers doesn't guarantee anything so use when you feel like. Unless you are looking for Amorey or Barboros they are both free. You also get Leonhart and Robin for free later at around 0-31. All mob units and 3 stars are also easy to get with flyers. On banners 10 pulls you are guaranteed a 4 star. It is still better to do this because 3 stars exist in them. So the only wrong move is to use 1 pull worth of stones or tickets. There should be limited units in the future should you want to save for those times.
Is there a spark or pity system?
There is none yet. This question was asked to Habbit and they didn't want to disclose information at this time. Don't expect it anytime soon if ever.
What is the best way to play? My phone keeps exploding.
Emulators are the best way to play so far. However since the game isn't very stable yet, results may very. The PC download link gives you a Nox player with the game installed on it. Try that first. If it works, great. If not, you can install the apk from the other download link to try a different emulator.
I got the Habbit launcher. What now?
Make your account. It will be used for the game. You will also have to update the game using this. It will install the game when you are done.
Why doesn't Bluestacks seem to work?
Make sure you have Bluestacks 5. One of the updates makes it run Unity games better.
What if I started on Nox and want to move to something else?
You create a Habbit account and your data is linked to that. As long as you have your email and password you will be able to move without a problem.
I updated my game and everything is broken now.
Clear your cache. You should get into the habit of doing it every update. They change how data is loaded all the time. So the old data bugs it out a lot. They said that it wouldn't be needed a while back, but that isn't true at all. It's annoying to have to reload everything, but it's better then not being able to play.
I cleared my cache and now all my text is missing.
Restart the app it's a bug with first time load.
I can't update my game why?
Install the latest launcher. They put a new installer link out in the chapter 1 update. You don't have to do this if your updates are still working.
How hard is the game?
Since the story was adjusted, very easy. There is no kind of challenge outside of 4 stars. Chapter 1 requires you to do some work. It's not super hard yet.
How should I build my team?
I suggest 3 tanks (One guard is now recommended, but not required.) 3 range, Elaine or 2 other healers. You can use less tanks or range if you want, but don't recommend it. The other spots can be anything you like.
How should I spend my stamina?
If you are a new player you should beat the story first. If you hit a brick wall or need mats do the highest exploration quests you can do. Supplies and funds should be your first priority. They will give you battle records used to level up units and the Draco needed to use them. Flyers are global drops on all maps other than explorations so farming 0-6 is the fastest way to get them. If you have all the money, battle records, gift boxes, and skill books you need, the best thing to do with daily stamina is to just farm flyers if there is no event going. You can also farm 1-21 if you want some extra money but it takes more time.
How do events work?
Play a map and you get one event currency per stamina spent or stamina spent +2 for the later half of the pirate event. So far there is no bonus for using event related units, so just use the team you want to. Pay Blanc and most likely future events will use different payouts.
Should I use my stamina candies/drinks for them?
Not for the pirate event as it will last forever. For future events, you will have to decide that on your own. If you play everyday you should be able to make it without spending. If you can't do that then spending some stamina to farm when you can is a good idea. The events tend to last a while. (This one will last until 5/20/22) so you have time to wait and do what you can until the deadline draws closer to see if you will make it or not.
What is the best event map to farm?
¡Viva el Presidente!:
PE-12 seems to be the best deal at the moment. PE-12 is still easy while giving a little bit more then the stamina it takes to play it.
Day & Night in Pays Blanc:
For Pay Blancs event, PN-3 will be your new home. Not only is the map easier to farm and gives a sizeable 1000 draco per play, the battle records from PN-4 are worthless unless you are a fresh account and even then, clearing out the event shop will give you a ton of battle record 4 anyways. PN-3 has a better payout to stamina ratio.
How should I spend the event currency?
Buy everything you can then save for the other parts to unlock when you are done. The event store will show the planned items they are going to add. DO NOT CASH OUT UNTIL YOU GOT EVERYTHING ELSE FIRST 1 CURRENCY FOR 10 DRACO IS A BAD DEAL.
How should I spend my Draco?
Level up units first, then skill upgrades. Proficiency is largely a money sink and should only be invested in when everything else is done first. Getting your team to 8+ should be maximizing the system. You won't get much stats past that point but you will get some attack speed that is still useful. If you want to not mess with proficiency and save for future systems or them reworking proficiency, you don't lose that much by ignoring it.
What are skip tickets? How should I use them?
Skip tickets allow you to instantly get the rewards for a mission you have already beaten with 3 stars. You will lose the stamina for the mission so you must be able to pay it for the ticket to work. As for suggestions on how to use them, it's better to use them on longer, higher stamina cost missions. The third tier exploration quests seem like the way to get the most value out of them melting them into Draco and materials. Saves the most time too. It might change in the future if mission rewards keep going up. If you want to be lazy and use them to skip some of the daily farming that will have to be up to you. You get 3 a day plus they are likely to be a reward from events in the future. So while they are limited, you shouldn't have to agonize over using them or saving them.
How to play
While it shouldn't be too hard to figure out and the game guides you. Quick and easy tutorial: Make your team. drag unit to field place it. It will auto attack. When the bar under it's health is full, you can tap it and use it's skill. The skill button is on the bottom right of the unit. The one of the top left will recall it. You are given a free 10 pull when you make an account so use that to get your starting team. You must stop the enemies from getting to the base (Blue hex) Red hexs are the enemy spawns. You will sometimes have more then one base to defend.
Other tips
To get 3 stars you need to beat the level with no leaks no deaths. Recalling a unit keeps this in tact so doing that before they die is a good idea. To beat a level you need to do it with lives left. 0 counts as a life so you need to beat it without it going below that. If a spawn in on an upper level that is an air spawn.
Starting Units
Gaia/Mc/Brother Fucker: He is an okay tank. He will have some kind of power up in the story so he might be better then. You get Leonhart who is better later. He is a good choice to fill a slot with his aura and quick attacking skill.
Barboros: He is too costly for the early game. Better later usually behind a tank because of his range. Note: Even though he has a long range he is NOT a range unit. He can not hit air. After using his skill, he transforms into a stronger form and fully heals.
Amorey: He is a starter archer. Use him if you don't have anyone better. You need some range to kill air so you don't want to be too light on the range.
Team building/Meta
If you just want to put the best members on your team. Here is what you want to do: For tanks take Leonhart and goblin fighter. They both do really well. Goblin fighter is a little fragile and might fall off when more upgrade systems are in the game. Jinnosuke and Theodor are both strong choices that are better than Goblin fighter. Bantu and Siddeley are good choices for your other tank. Siddeley is slightly better but is 6 star so Bantu is good enough and easy to get. Billford is another decent choice. Since Mc now has his aura working he is also a good choice if you don't have any of the 6 stars. Fighters are the best tanks and dps in general. With the changes to skills Hulk is now a good choice for fighter.
Most guards aren't worth using outside if you need emergency blocks. They don't kill fast enough alone so they need help or get overwhelmed. If you have strong fighters you most likely won't need one. I would suggest Volund because he buffs other units, so when not in combat he makes your team better. Patty or Sol is also good for just slowing down the lane. Most other guards are about the same. Gymnos stands out a bit more with the changes to skills. So if you want a little extra healing you can use him instead.
Harimau might be the best named archer in the game now. For cheaper choices, you will want to use mob units. Pay blanc archer and Pirate musketeer are both cheap and effective. Aerial Goblin is back in because of the attack cap being removed again. Bandit Ballista is a good choice for maps with little high ground and little to no air. Goblin archer is decent for just pure dps unit.
Baran is the best mage for the most part. His skill stays on forever after being used so make sure to use it when you first get it. Even with him being slower to start up with the skill changes he is still good. Fu and Yabsakha are good choices as well. Most of the other mages are about the same. Avoid very slow mages with 2.7 attack speed.
Since the content got nerfed a few times Healers used to matter now most of them are good enough. So go with the cheapest ones you got. Most likely Robin and Pirate healer. Kagura is a strong healer that can also be used to stall a lane. Not very useful yet but something to keep in mind for the future. The only healer you want to avoid is Ornis because of how his healing works, he heals very ineffectively. Elaine's nature healing is good enough, but they have the same problem with their direct healing. They try to keep the group alive instead of one at a time. This is very wasteful because a lot of the damage is going to one target most of the time. Morgan while a strong healer, he is very overkill at the moment. His lack of range is hurting him in the limited space of chapter 1. Thomas is looking to be like the best healer even when his bug gets fixed. If you have him use him.
A lot of Supports are just mages with supporting skills so they aren't that great. Bart seems to be the best at that. High damage can be placed in a lane to block or behind a tank to just dps. Hanzo is also another good choice, High dps, can summon a blocker over and over. A side note: Most supports can't hit air while Edgar and Sarutobi can.
Vanguards are strange. Because most of them can only block one they aren't great at early defending one of their purposes. They are more useful as cost batteries. If you want a team with a higher cost they will help you get deployed. Seals is a good mix of damage and giving cost. You don't need one if your team can use mob units to hold off the early waves.
Damage types
There is 3 types of damage in the game. Magic, melee and range. Magic attacks are shown by a bolt that the unit fires. Melee has the most variety of damage from heavier to light attacks. Range is shown by an arrow being fired from the unit. Some of your magic units can use splash. It is magic that splits the damage evenly between enemies. This favors the enemy most of the time and is best for a spam spawn of small creatures.
Enemies
While most enemies are not too notable a few things to keep in mind. The later the level the higher the stats. The ai for range/magic has two modes. Walk to base while shooting and for ballistas stay away and fire. They will start moving up after some time. Instead of going over all the units I will list the ones that stand out. All the names are placeholders until someone can give official ones.
Wolves: They tend to spawn early and run fast trying to make you leak before your defenses are set up.
Ghosts: They are magic units that tend to spawn a few at a time. Ghosts are not air (intended?} so you can hit them with melee.
Specters: They can't be blocked and don't attack. They will slip past defenses if not taken care of quickly. They count as ground units like ghosts so melee can hit them.
Dragons: Now the game's boss air. High hp, high damage.
Evil eye: High hp, flying. Made the game nearly impossible when it was broken. Kill as soon as you can.
Evil eye boss: Evil eye but stronger.
Owlbear?: One of the heaviest melee unit can rip up a front line without support.
Ifrit? Flame Giant?:Has a bit of health and runs fast.
Frogs, Mimics, Hermit crabs: They will try to overwhelm with numbers. Hermit crabs are the toughest but spawn the least. The other two are weak but spawn more.
Rogue? Assassin?: fast moving and will spawn in the middle of a larger wave to try and slip by.
Ballista: Deals the most damage out of ranged units. will stay near spawn and try to kill your units working together with the other range or air.
Unit stats
Hp: the health
Attack: Damage per shot.
Healing power: This is a theoretical stat with no true name. Skills increase healing power, natures don't seem to. Even though healer skills say they increase attack that might just be to help you link attack and healing power in your mind. Why it couldn't just be attack is a mystery.
Def: Reduces physical damage. The enemy has a damage minimum of 25% of their attack. Each point of Def reduces the damage by one so it's enemy attack minus Your Def. If the damage would be less then 25% of their attack it uses that number as damage. If it would be more, it uses that number instead.
Magic res: reduces magical damage by one per point.
Intimacy: You give gifts to units to increase this. They gain stats when they hit milestones. To unlock sex, this needs to be at 100.
Redeploy: If this unit is killed or recalled you have to wait this timer to use them again.
Cost: How much cost the unit needs to be played.
Block: How many units this one can stop at a time in the lane and force the enemy to fight them.
Attack speed: The rate of attack. The lower the number, the faster the attack.
Bond: When a unit is in your team it gains bond when you win. Does nothing yet but will likely affect something later.
Class largely is about intended role. Vanguards are mostly cost batteries and aren't that great at fighting directly mostly outside of a few exceptions. Guards are meant to clog the lane and tank it. fighters trade tankiness for damage. Healers. Heal. Mages is more damage focused ranged attackers. Archers are more speed focused. Support is a little bit of everything. Sometimes they are healers other times like mages. Some supports can be put on the ground but the game is bad at telling you that because they only highlight the hills for them.
Known bugs/issues
SNEED CAN DIE.
Magic res is pointless.
Romanes's Skill heals a single unit twice instead of 2 ally units once.
Sol's nature doesn't work for himself and is incorrect that it has to be someone behind him. His skill also doesn't work.
Goblin figher's attack always ignores Defense.
Attack and healing power might be different stats. This may or may not be a bug.
Obsidonian's archer skill does nothing.
Theodor gets bonus attack speed even with max hp.
Pays Blanc soldier's nature lowers Def and doesn't raise hp
Mummy's nature doesn't work
Obsidonian Imperial Halberdier's skill doesn't work.
Bart's nature doesn't stun.
Amorey is still useless.
Thorkell's Skill does not work
Enemy magic damage is bugged and hits for a lot less then intended? Range and magic damage seems to swapped at one point so it's hard to tell if this is intended or a bug anymore. It has been like this for a while and show no signs of fixing it.
Some natures, traits, and skills do not work.
Attacks queue up when a unit is not busy. Allowing for two attacks at the same time or a randomly higher rate of attack. The amount this happens is based on animation speed and attack speed. This bug favors mob units for their short animations and faster attacks.
The game has memory leaks and crashes or blackscreens a lot for some people.
