Why mcyoag cannot play OR

To start, it was always built for small friend groups agreeing to take their slices from a finite list of non-player characters.

Nearly all building is based on associating with NPCs. To correctly play Outer Reincarnation, you have to lend your story to pre-defined characters of the author's creation.

New builds necessarily create retcons because they were important from birth, to potentially global effect, as a consequence of being the 11th Outsider.

Because of all this, it's very suboptimal for having a growing blob of player characters, even if that's how 2021 played out.
Now for the more thread specific issues: /mcyoag/ has avoidant personality disorder. They can not imagine that builds would ever cross paths by coincidence, destiny, or shared interest, so everyone has to be forced into the same tiny space. To produce the illusion of adventure, some street level powers are painted over whichever building that you're shoving all those waifus into, but not so much that they can affect monumental change. OR has modest superpowers, but it also has soft power, and that's even worse than the power to move planets, because you're making moves on the very character of the world. It's like a nuclear reactor, you're trying to produce energy (writefags) through the random friction between the radioactives (superhumans) that you've compressed into critical mass (Hogwarts), but never so much that it changes the shape of the system.
OR's selling point is pointing to whichever slice of a continent that you're given, and saying "that's where I'll start changing the world". They can't have that kind of agency, they are anti-Sartre, they're the oversocialized retards in his No Exit play that willfully stay in the Hell of other people because they're invested in their nonsense.

The lore is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of Kabbalistic theory most of the references will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also 0^0’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterization- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Jorge Luis Borges literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these references, to realise that they're not just background text- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Outer Reincarnation truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the Meaning in JNPL’s existential “total ascension plan,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Teilhard de Chardin’s magnum opus The Phenomenon of Man. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Tankista’s genius worldbuilding unfolds itself on their computer screens.
