This is a list of all the games that members of /hgg2d/ find to be particularly noteworthy or well, GOOD. If a game you like is not here please still do bring it up in the thread and it will get added here provided it has positive feedback.

It of course works the other way around as well. If there is a game you do not enjoy voice it in the thread. Provided there is support it can get removed.

Getting Started (BGIN)
=======================================================

PLEASE read below if you intend to download or have any RPGMaker games translated.

Setup:
1.Change your system locale to Japanese (Control Panel > Region and Language > Administrative tab)
2.Install ALL English and Japanese RPG Maker Run-Time-Packages (RTPs):

How to add translation patches into RPG Maker games:

  1. Download https://mega.nz/#!ChZ3lYQD!AM4LUPDWoklrnbZK0KfOQEpsSDsW5cfqyuoBHY1MsmQ
  2. Extract and run
  3. File Open File Navigate to folder containing game and open Game.rgss2a
  4. Tools -> Extract All
    4a. There should now be a a new folder where the extraction tool is located named "extract"
  5. Copy everything in "extract" and paste into game directory
  6. Copy contents of translation folder into game directory
  7. Remove game.rgss2a from game directory
  8. Play game

Hacks:
Optional 1. (SPEEDHACK) If the games feel too slow, you can install Cheat Engine (CE) and enable Speedhack in it. Just install it > start both CE and the game you want to play in whichever order > click computer icon in CE at the top left corner below "File" > select game process (it's always near the bottom of the list, the name might not be the game title, like "game.exe", etc) > select "Enable Speedhack" at the right side of the program, a "Speed" window opens below it, you can type the speed you want to use or use the slider and click "Apply". Normal speed = 1.0, double = 2.0, half = 0.5, etc. max stable speed is usually 5.0, sometimes 2.0~3.0.

Optional 2. (CHEATING) You can cheat with CE, however, RPG maker games calculate everything (HP, gold, exp, etc) like this = X2+1 so if your HP is 100 you need to type 201 in the "Value" bar (OR you can just type 1002+1 since CE can calculate so you don't have to do that yourself) and select "New scan" and CE will find a bunch of Values that are 201. Next you you'll reduce/increase your HP, let's say it's 70 now, so type 702+1 and select "Next scan" and CE will show all 201 values that were reduced to 141 (702+1). Repeat this until there are 1-5 values left, double click or select them all and press the red arrow. This will copy them to the bottom part where you can edit the "Value" part. Double click any of the values and change it to whatever you want. There's also "Active" checkbox at the left, which freezes the value, so it doesn't change. At the search bar there are "Scan Type" and "Value Type" but most RPG maker games use the default "Exact Value" and "4 Bytes" so you don't need to change them usually.

A slightly descriptive explanation of what the tags attached to some games mean. They are meant to assist generally in the basic thought of what each game is like and as such they won't get ridiculously in depth and point out every little thing.

Action Combat: Combat is fast paced and will or can require quick movements or decisions.

Beat 'em Up: Heavy focus on melee engagements, contains depth in the move pool and regularly pits your character up to more than 1 enemy

Brutality: Hard to excessive physical beatings/trauma are to be expected from games this tag is on.

Combat Intimacy: Either the Protagonist or the enemies have opportunities to get frisky with one another.

Purity Change: Depending on how the journey goes the Protagonists viewpoint on things may change in a dirty way.

Costumes: The Protagonist has whole outfits to switch between which is reflected visually.

Dress Up: The Protagonist has individual clothes and/or hairstyles that they are free to mix and match which is reflected visually.

Fighter: Combat is in close quarters, is primarily 1 on 1 and is in real time.

Futanari: One or more of the girls in the game have a Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon and wield it in many scenes.

No Combat: For games in which there is no combat system in place and the game is progressed through other means such as achievements,collecting, or actions.

Male Protagonist:The main character is male. Sometimes indicative of a harem as well.

Monster Girls: Game includes girls that are monsters. Only used when they encompass most of the game in question.

Pregnancy: Either you get pregnant or the protagonist makes other people in the game pregnant. Used when it's a natural or ongoing game element.

Strategy Combat: Combat is tactical in nature and is built around thinking about your movements. As such when you do something with a character your turn is not necessarily over.

Turn Based Combat: Usually wholly reliant on stats, after you attack your enemies get to attack.

Uncensored: No pixelation,mosaics or things of that nature for any and all content of lewdness.
