What is this?

Nutaku and DMM are hosting platforms for a variety of games and other services. The overall focus of this general is on the various browser games that are available. Nutaku hosts their games in English, while DMM does so in Japanese.

Should I play on Nutaku or DMM?

The general consensus is to play on DMM over Nutaku. Nutaku’s games have been historically poorly managed and extremely stingy in comparison. Bad censorship, removal of F2P features, and subpar translations are only the tip of the iceberg. At most, use Nutaku as a starting point for understanding the UI and game mechanics before switching over.

Region Lock

I'm getting this message, what do?

Not all of the methods listed below have been tested, use at your own discretion.

Use a VPN

• Proton VPN
  • Note: Recent versions have disabled free users' ability to choose a region, which prevents one from linking to Japan easily. As a workaround, you can install an older version (3.1.0 is confirmed) and disable automatic updates. This is also possible on mobile via 3rd party appstores like Fdroid.
• Softether
  • For the layman user, https://www.vpngate.net/en/ takes care of a lot of the legwork involved in setting up the servers and whatnot.

• Urban VPN Proxy
• Tunnelbear
  • Free version has a 2GB monthly limit - however, most games only require using a VPN until the start screen appears, after which it can be disabled, thus minimizing this issue.

• Open game page
• Get region block page
• Open browser's console with F12 or CTRL+Shift+J
• Paste the following and press enter (change dmm.co.jp to dmm.com if on all-ages side)

• Close the region block page/tab (don't refresh with F5)
• Open game page again

If someone uses Chrome to play DMM games on the computer

Try a few steps

1. Press F12
2. Click "Application" > "Cookies" > "https://games.dmm.com/"
3. Change Value of "ckcy_remedied_check" to ec_mrnhbtk
4. Close the DMM tab and open again

The value will reset after Chrome gets closed entirely.
You still can't access to the apps on phone.
