Lui tells the rest of holotori just how helpful you are when it comes time to do the thing they all do.
She's real proud of the way you don't seem fazed seeing them at their most vulnerable, and how you're always able to help if the process gets rough.
After a while, Lui tells you Nerissa's worried about her next clutch and she could do with somebody to be there just in case things don't go smoothly, and to keep her company while she does her thing.
You agree.
Next day, Lui drops you off at Castle Ravencroft, and you meet Nerissa.
She's a warm and polite lady, with a really nice smile.
She's also got the biggest bulge of any member of holotori you've ever seen. Her womb has expanded to the point that she's now wearing baggy jogging bottoms because nothing else fits.
Tell her you're here to help, and offer your services.
She gladly accepts, and says it's not quite time yet, so for the first half hour or so, you get comfy in the kitchen, and Nerissa makes some drinks.
You watch her touch her belly and make little faces every now and then. Lui says when it's time, the eggs feel like they're hot and you need to get rid of them. Nerissa is now clearly in some amount of discomfort, but she's trying to choke down tea instead of actually doing it.

you politely tell her it's probably best if she does it now, rather than waiting until the last possible moment.
She agrees, but she seems to deliberately avoid eye contact with you. You put out your hand for her to lead the way, and she takes it, squeezing your hand as she does.
You notice a damp patch has appeared on her jogging bottoms. Her body is already trying to expel the eggs.
Nerissa takes you to her chambers, and quickly undresses. She looks stunning, but you're not really here for that.
She then beckons you to follow, and gets on her hands and knees to crawl into the most impressive pillow fort you've seen.
the pillows and blankets are incredibly soft, LED lights line the top of the structure and give a warm white glow, plush toys are scattered around, and in the middle of it all, is one big, round pillow.
Nerissa lies down, her back propped up by a small mountain of pillows, and plants her legs either side of the centre cushion, so that the eggs can have a soft place to come out.
Apparently nesting like this is a common thing for holobirds. They don't all do it, but most of them feel it helps.
Nerissa bashfully thanks you for doing this, and apologises for making you see this.
she buries her head in her hands like she's ashamed, and you comfort her as she gives the first proper groan.
you recognise that as the sound of a birdgirl beginning to actively push the eggs out.
you touch her belly, and feel the insides slowly moving as she pushes out the first egg.
It's an encouraging sign. There's no blood on it, it's not too big, and it comes out fairly smoothly.

You cosy up beside Nerissa and hold her hand. You tell her she's doing great.
She thanks you, but she sounds bashful.
She looks away from you as she groans again. She's doing fine, but for some reason she can't seem to fully relax.
tell her it's okay, and watch as her labia parts to let the second egg out. You move the two eggs away a bit to make some more space for the rest.
Finally she says she's ashamed of herself.
otherholobirds just lay one or two, but her body regularly develops a much larger amount.
compared to the others, she says her laying sessions can take much longer.
You tell her there's nothing to be ashamed of. All birdgirls are different, after all.
You tell her you'll be back, and leave for the kitchen, where you quickly pour a glass of orange juice for her.
you take it back, to find that she's already pushed two more out.
She still seems ashamed of it all, but she looks at you with a smile, and takes the juice. She thanks you for it, and slowly leans into you as she moans again.
Her belly has deflated significantly by now. Tell her she's doing well.
You put your arm around her, and use your free hand to feel her belly. The remaining eggs seem to be well aligned. It's just a matter of endurance for Nerissa now. All you have to do is just be there for her.
You can tell that she's starting to get tired now, but you urge her to keep going. She tells you she's sorry for all of this, and that her body is just weird.
reassure her it's notmal.
A fifth egg slides out, and you put it on the pile.
It continues like this for a while. Nerissa seems to slowly get more comfortable with you as it goes on, and the frequency of the eggs starts to slow down.
cuddle her tight and tell her she'll be okay. You massage her birth canal gently to help move the eggs along like you do when Lui's got a bad one.
You catch just a glimpse of unguarded happiness on Nerissa's face, and you press her womb to find that it's empty. The last two eggs are now on their way.
You urge her to drink the juice, and she does so, inbetween deep breaths.
her vulva bulges again, and you ask if she wants you to try and remove it for her. She nods, and you reach down and gently part her labia to grip the egg and pull it for her.
Just one to go now.
She continues drinking, and moans into your shoulder as she goes. You feel her grip on your hand start to loosen. Realise she's now relaxing properly. You put both arms around her and tell her comforting affirmations as she exhaustedly pushes the last egg out onto the pile.
She then pretty much goes limp in your arms and thanks you.
You let her collapse amongst the pillows and tidy up the eggs into a neat little circle for her.
she's done so well.
Offer to cook some food for her or order it in. She likes the sound of that. You call Lui and tell her to come round, and that Nerissa's fine now.
Eventually the three of you enjoy some KFP together. Nerissa tells Lui she's so lucky to have you.
