General /awat/ notes WIP

• Wet lands mainly around the coastal areas
• Temperate Rainforest mostly to the northern areas
• Tropical rainforest to the south and southwest near the coast with one area to the east
• Tropical seasonal forest, while small are located more in the inner most area and to the east coast line
• Temperate Deciduous forest and Temperate Rainforest taking up most of the area with Temperate Deciduous forest being the most prominent
• Main population of mostly Teamates/Investigators (Have not decided on the nomenclature)
• Regular bread is more expensive, gluten free bread is the most common kind of bread
• Farms outside the city harvest Rice, Corn, and peppers due to the hot region
• A few cities exist but very spread out, mostly to house the Watson Industries offices and create jobs for gators who wish for the city life instead of a rural life, though some gators do move to other nations
• Watson Industries develops technology, cars, phones, and other essential needs for all of /awat/
• Also out sources the work load to other nations and sells certain things outside of /awat/ but only select products
• Will develop more ideas for Watson Industries
• Small towns in the wet lands with fishermen living by the edge of the coast
• Inner most area where the temperate deciduous forest contains rural areas and small farms
• Some farms exists in the Temperate Rainforest but it is not as common as it is in the Deciduous forests

Watson industries

• Multiple factories located in the Temperate Deciduous forest
• Have a stake in the /news/ outlet. Paper is run by one of the Ame's from a different universe
• Provides jobs, healthcare, housing, transportation for all of their workers
• Have at least 1 location in each nation depending on the size and need.
• These locations outside of /awat/ usually only work on technologic advances and engineering
• Developing robotics and hardware is the companies number 1 priority
  • Things they develop include but not limited to:
    • Prosthetics
    • Vehicles
    • Weaponry
    • Ai/Robotics
    • Toilet paper
    • Communications
• Each factory has 1 statue of Amelia Watson either in the middle of the building or outside in the garden area
• Breakfast, Lunch and dinner is provided to all the employees with 1 hour of break which is separate from the meal
• Facilities run 24 hours a day but only some are active during the night hours, meanwhile during the day at least 85% of the factory is working

New Details about Watson industries

• Started out as a company that manufactured clocks
• Has a working relationship with Koyolabo, a Research facility ran by the Joshu Conglomerate
• Helped in the development of the Kamen Joshu suit with Koyolabo while also harnessing some ancient tribal Gator magic
• The toilet paper sells like hot cakes

/awat/ farms

• An abundant about of corn field with other crops in designated areas
• Along with corn there are rice fields in the wet lands, buckwheat, pepper farms in the more drier areas
• Corn being the main export of /awat/ due to history of supplying it to sustain their economy. Nowadays other regions and Nations have adopted the plant but swear that /awat/ corn is the sweetest
• Know for their corn dishes and other edibles such as various tortilla products, canned corn, corn flour, tamales, Pasteles etc
• Have various options of gluten free products, despite this no gator is actually allergic to gluten. It's merely what they are used to. Though some old writings stated a traveler introduced gluten free products to them long ago.

/awat/ living and housing

• Cities are a mix between Large buildings and urban environment
• Various apartments complexes near the center of the city and Watson industries
• Outside the main city are Suburbs with regular housing and town houses
• In the more humid and tropical parts are more rural farm areas with 1 house for every 400 acres of land
• There are some small towns within the rural areas but nothing more then local businesses like essential needs
• Near the coast lines are beach houses and shacks for elderly gators and Fishermen(gators?) who make a living off of selling to local businesses

/awat/ residents

• The main population is mostly Teamates but other nationalities do live in /awat/:
  • Joshus
  • Takos
  • KFP
  • Deadbeats
  • Chumbuds
  • Kronies
• Kronies started actively living in /awat/ once Watson Industries started expanding into other nations. Not much is known about them but they seem to ask a lot of questions about the technology of /awat/

/awat/ Costal Region

• Along various parts of the parts of the costal wetlands and Temperate Rainforest are Local Fishermen/Gators
• Some of the areas include mini beaches aswell
• Endemic life include but not limited to
  • mudcrabs
  • catfish
  • shrimp
  • crawdads
  • Cod
  • Baracuda
• Fish mongers sell various sea food and shell fish to the local areas and even provide their goods to other outside areas
• Local businesses sell specialty dishes like beer battered cod with fries, sea food boils, tempura shrimp, deep fried soft shell crab burgers and more
• The costal area is also a pretty popular tourist area for their beaches and local cuisine which keeps the region's economy steady and able to thrive

/awat/ Sports and Special event stadium

• Within the capital of awat lies a massive stadium that can hold about 60,000 attendees
• It's built as a replica of the sun fish, Myth's specialized space ship. While inside the floor uses special hologram technology to make it look like the bottom of a space station and depicts a time swirl at the bottom
• Mostly home to the /awat/ divegrass team, other events are during the off season including home for the /ggg/ team as well.
• Various kind of concessions can be bought here including
  • Gluten/Gluten free hotdogs
  • Gluten/Gluten Free Deep fried Cod with fries
  • Gluten Free gator nuggets
  • sushi
  • bull tongue tacos
  • Various drinks such as milk shakes, beers, hard seltzers, local soda brands
• Watson industries also uses this area for various experiments for holograms and lighting due to the large area the stadium covers

ancient /awat/ civilization

• In recent times archaeologist have dug up and cleaned many ruins of ancient gator civilizations
• Most end up being pyramids in a similar style as Mesoamerican pyramids
• Many ancient investigator homes and villages also found in the more deep jungle areas of /awat/
  -Many of art tells a story of a shinning goddess who came from the heavens and patted some of the earliest gators of /awat/ on the head, fed them and gave them names
• Many Investigator historians claim this as the reason they now stand on 2 feet and can speak like humans, though as more of a "Mythos" reason than a scientific reason for it. Most simply believed they evolved similar to humans
• Many other art from the ancient times includes depictions of other dieties such as a god of harvest and fertility and a goddess of grains.
• Many of the ancient /awat/ deities seem to pertain mostly to food, which many believe is the reason /awat/ has plentiful of corn farms

/awat/ education system

• Gators are very well versed in english but reading comprehension is hard for them, like a strong case of dyslexia but for gators
• This issue can be circumvented by years of vigorous training through simple children's books until the gator's brain is fully developed to the point where they can move onto young adult books and novels
• While gators have trouble reading they do excel at physical activities such as swimming and lifting
• They have a typical K to 12 grade school education but extra classes can be taken if needed for the gators to continue to develop
• Once a Gator has graduated they can choose between working at Watson Industries and taking their career program which teaches gators to expand their skillset and education in order to work for the company. It is treated as university level education
• If a gator is not interested in working for Watson Industries they may enter the workforce or continue their education in local universities and colleges for the career they wish to peruse
• Watson Industries is also open to foreign students from other nations and have specialized classes since investigators still have their typical reading problem even into adult years but may share a class with them if the subject is typically easy or more hands on then others

/awat/ National Holidays

• Every January 6th is a day of celebration for /awat/ as they celebrate the birthday of Amelia Watson. Streets in the main city are decorated in yellow and brown
• Special gluten free cakes are made and given out to the workers at Watson Industries and to the people passing by the front gates
• Local businesses within the city also have various Amelia watson themed items and foods
• Also every 13th of September the entire nation celebrates the founding of /awat/. It is considered a government holiday as well so most businesses close for the day but some like groceries stores are open for less than half the day.
• Most gators celebrate with grilling food such as meats, chicken, fish, vegetables
• A lot of gators gather around with their friends and family to celebrate the day. At the end of the day there are fireworks displays in multiple places as well as residents setting off their own in celebration of the day
• December 25th is called Snow Day, a holiday similar to christmas where you recevie presents from an unknown snow being who rides around in a sled
• Gators usually start decorating for the holidays around the last thrusday of november, the decorations are similar to those you would see around christmas such as pine trees, presents, colorful lights, reindeer etc.
• During this month /awat/ gets a slight increase in tourism due to the holiday being a very unique thing to them. Many tourist come to see the lights, festivities and take part in the merriment

Underground city

• Little is known about the origin of the underground cities, they mostly exist with in the greater rainforest areas mostly un touched by gator-kind
• A lot of the building that exist there resemble modern architecture, even including roads and sidewalks.
• A lot of the areas were lit by oil lamps and torches, no signs of electricity really as it had no been discovered around its conception presumably
• As of today the underground cities are tourist attractions, guides take you through the vast area beneath /awat/ and take you around the ruins to show you some of /awat/'s forgotten history
• Some Watson Industries professors and historians theorize that ancient gators built these underground cities in the name of their gods, simply giving them their own city as an offering to them. Others believe that there was a subset of gators that decided to live underground away from the surface but there's not much evidence that gators actually lived within the city themselves
  

Recent discovery of underground city railway system

• Due to recent excavation an old railway system was discovered in the old underground city under /awat/
• Parts of it seem to be damaged due to age and lack of maintenance but most of it seems to be intact besides that
• It's currently being explored and seeing where it leads to but some rubble is in the way currently and is currently being removed
• Evidence shows that it lead to the surface due to how it inclines near the end
• Researches believe it was used to get to point A and point B but seems to be a 1 way track. Many believe it alternates the direction depending on the time of day
• Few are debating whether to restore the track or keep it in its current state but maintaining it so it doesn't deteriorate further

Recent development of a railway system amongst the capital of /awat/

• Constructs around the edge of the capital has begun in /awat/ from an outside group of rodents. Seemingly resemble hamsters or gerbils, a little on the plump side
• Currently they are making the station where the train will rest and stop for each trip
• Their conductor and head of the project had recently met with the board of directors of Watson industries but little is known of why they met
• The residents of the capital are currently suspicious of their intentions as this is a very sudden change coming to their city

Updates as of 10/25 for the railway system

• The railway system in /awat/ is now complete. It is operated by a strange blonde humanoid rat creature and her helpers
• Gators are suspicious still considering that the train can operate on multiple terrains even with out a track
• at the end of the track in /awat/ leads to a ramp that will launch the train into the air
• It is said due to the help of /awat/ engineers the train can operate completely with out a proper track so it can freely go from nation to nation for other passengers to hop on
• It seems to be modeled after a typical steam train followed by train cars
• There seems to be plans floating around Watson industries with blue prints for what look to be a giant robot with a train themeing. No one knows if its related to the recent development of the new railway system

Updates as of 11/10 for the railway system

• New residents have decided to rent and buy homes with in /awat/ as of the completion of the railway system
• The main train is powered little creatures known as starberts who's entire purpose is to power the train
• Due to how the train operates, once it is in the air it will land down onto the ground and start generation train tracks in front of it so if can continue to move forward
• The operator of the train seems to bear a striking resemblance to some of the old carvings featured with in the /awat/ ruins but most seem to think it is a coincidence

Recent discovery of Amber Mines and Ore in the underground city

• /awat/ researchers have recently stumbled upon an amber mine within the tunnel of the underground city. The site is currently being excavated in hopes to find out more about the gators past
• Currently excavators are having issues digging any deeper as they are afraid of damaging the structure of the tunnel
• There's also a number of various ores and minerals being discovered within the tunnel that the researches are taking back to Watson Industries

Halloween in /awat/

• Around the start of the fall months the nation of awat gets ready for halloween. It's considered an important holiday as a stone statue they praise as 'Wife' (Looks like smol ame in a pumpkin outfit) is annually cleaned of the years dirt and forestation that has gathered on it. It sits on a nearby farm in the city that is one of the last farms to be preserved within the city after they modernized it from its former farm land. Its used to house corn that is used for the fall season for meals
• awat is also known for their specialize chocolate wafer candies that get seasonal flavors. They are usually connected by 2 or 4. Some notable flavors is classic (Chocolate), white chocolate, matcha and mint. During this season they release 2 kinds, an orange white chocolate one and a pumpkin spiced flavor one.
• The streets are decorated in fall decorations as well as halloween themed ones. Shops sell fall and halloween themed products including decorations themselves, baked goods or costumes for all ages
• On halloween you see people going door to door trick or treating getting candy for themselves. At the end of their halloween night, trick or treaters offer a chocolate wafer to 'Wife' from their candy horde and leave. Some say 'wife' eats the candy over night.

Fall in /awat/

• At the start of fall /awat/ begins harvesting their corn for the holidays along with various gords such as pumpkins
• There are 2 holidays that take place in /awat/ such as halloween and thanksgiving.
• Other notable events that take place are annual sports events such as soccer, in which case the /awat/ team plays in their home stadium or visits other nations teams
• A parade takes place on thanksgiving in /awat/ everyyear featuring floats of various /awat/ related things and associates in celebration of the nation's history
• Due to gators being cold blooded, they do not wear much more clothing then they do now, most of their fashion during the colder months include a scarf or a beanie and not much else
• tourism also picks up around this time as some stay for the upcoming winter festivals that /awat/ is known for. Tourist often partake in the fall festivities as well but more near the end of the month
• special fall foods and consumables are also sold around this time in the city that last up until the mid of winter

Event theme park area

• Watson Industries has developed a way to artificially create weather within an area in the city designed for events all year round
• Due to /awat/ existing very close to the equator, weather is normally humid, wet, hot and sunny
• Watson Industries created a machine that absorbs all the humid air surrounding the city and uses all the liquid gathered by it to manipulator a building that is nearby Watson Industries to create a number of different climates which include
  • Cool air
  • Snow
  • Rain (Less summer or spring rain and more fall and winter rain)
  • Winds
• During the spring and summer times of the year the building opens its roof due to the weather being normal for that time of the year
• The event area during the fall is decorated for fall with crisp cool air flowing through it. It is not normally used for halloween as that is more for the rest of the nation to take part of so its solely used to fall themeing but may have parts themed around halloween
• During the final week of November the weather gradually gets colder and the the decorations is rotated out to more winter and holiday centric things
• Many people underestimate the artificial weather cycle with in the building thinking it will be set to a comfortable temperature for the residents but in reality it is set to a very natural cycle and has its own weather predictions for visitors. There may even be times where it becomes drastically below freezing along with winds and even heavy snowfall. Visitors are advised to bring extra layers during their time there.

Winter in /awat/

• Once winter begins in /awat/ the climate does cool down a little but not dramatically like other parts of the world due to being close to the equator
• The event area near watson industries opens up a christmas market in the center of it where vendors rent out stalls and sell goods and treats for the holiday season
• A parade happens around the last week of november in preparation for winter and leads to the official opening of the christmas market within the event area
• The streets in the regular city are also decorated for the holidays and shops also sell special seasonal items as well, some of those shops usually rent a stall in the market area as well
• Christmas is used as a general term for tourist who visit during this time but the official name used by the locals is Snow Day. Tourism is generally increased around this time due to visiting relatives and those who want to see the event area so even the locals would refer to Snow Day as Christmas when talking to tourists.
• Due to the recent addition to a railroad, tourism is at an all time high
• The newly added train is also decorated for the holiday season and even offers a delicious hot chocolate to its passengers
• A week after Snow Day is a big new years event where every gathers at watson industries where they unveil their new years clock that ticks down to 0
• Special guests show up, food and drinks are served. The dome is also in use as another area to count down the new year

New years in /awat/

• Once the holidays end /awat/ begins putting away all the holiday items and prepares for the brand new year
• Through out the month a lot of health conscious and well being items are put out for sale
• The nation winds down on all the merriment and celebration and continues their everyday life as usual
• The dome continues to be in winter mode with snow and colder temperatures for those who wish to enjoy 'authentic' winter experience in the hot /awat/ environment
• There's also a board within the dome usually to hang up wishes for the new years similarly to oriental customs. Tourist love to gather there before they leave back to their home nation

Theories of feathered gators ancestors

• Recently discovered Investigator fossil shows a jaw slightly different from previous discoveries
• Researchers say the jaw is slightly more curved with more lines of teeth than normal that are even thinner than previous discoveries
• It's also said with the discovery that its stomach shows sign of an aquatic fish only found in colder areas of the region, suggesting that either /awat/ was previously colder, previously in an aera that was colder before moving to its new location or its a sub species of investigator that's not actually from ancient /awat/
• More research is being conducted at this time with a recent discovery of fossilized feathers found in the surrounding area

Update 1/26/25

• Feathers are now being theorized as belonging to another species, possibly belonging to either a potential avian that was prey or just left over from the prehistoric teamates nest
• More bones are being discovered show that teamates we're much larger and bipedal like a dog instead of their more recent ancestors who's limbs were much smaller
• They are still classified under Archosauria, perhaps a new species of Pseudosuchia. Researches intend to check the archives in order to learn more about the fossils and to see if its a new genus or a discovered one
• Many insects large and small are also being discovered. Many seem to just be older versions of existing bugs. Researchers theorize that some ancient diseases are in some of these amber fossils

1/6 /awat/ festival

• Every 6th of january /awat/ celebrates its founding with a parade and events. The event dome is still in its winter theme but transitions all the holiday products to pride related items for the nation of /awat/
• The natives of /awat/ are not sure why they chose 1/6 as the founding of /awat/ but they just knew it was a special day. Watson Industries also opens up the building for free tours and to show off all their new inventions and its history
• The TVs in the watson industries and in the event area play non-stop Amelia Watson streams, the founder of watson industries

Further research on the newly discovered prehistoric investigators

• After continuous mining the remains of a fully intact investigator ancestor was discovered by miners
• There is reason to believe that they were crushed under a rock fall and left un-touched for millions of years
• There seems to be no other fossils found within the area besides some preserved avian's and bugs in the ambers of the cave.
• As this is the first time researchers have discovered remains like they have concluded that the fossil is of a Archosauria relation, thus naming the specimen "Investosuchians". As of this moment the fossil is on display at Watson Industries so researches can properly analyze the fossil before donating it to the museum
• Researches have concluded that the investosuchians would have looked something like this in their prime:
• Further developments are being made as researchers discover more info about the Investosuchians, including referring back to old historical discoveries and linking them up to the Investosuchians instead of linking them to older but more recent iterations of Investigators.

Valentines day in /awat/

• Chocolates and other candies are sold specialized in for this very holiday
• Couples usually go on dates and dinner. Normal romatic stuff but for some who are alone, they watch reruns of the Amelia Watson channel
• These reruns include karaokes, gaming streams or valentines day specials
• Ratings for the channel spike considerably during this time. Census says a good decent amount are male viewers but female viewers also partake in the reruns
• In Watson industries the statue thats in the garden in the front is decorated and layed out with various chocolate wafer treats

History of Watson Industries

• Founded in 1875 after the great Corn famine, Henrique T. Mate started up a small pharmacy called "Watson's". It housed many a pharmaceuticals and other goods for purchase
• Henrique was also an amateur Brewer, usually as a hobby. Creating various drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic for friends and family
• One day during a cold November, the start of many to start getting sick, a shipment of cough syrup was delayed and Henrique had to improvise. He brewed a syrup from sugar cane, lemon, honey and a hint of mint and started selling it to customers under the guise of a home remedy for cheaper than regular cough syrup.
• The syrup was a huge success for Watson's that people even told him they were diluting the syrup with water and drinking it casually just because they thought it tasted good. Out of curiosity Henrique tried it himself and thought nothing of it, chalking it up to people preference
• A year later after he started selling the syrup, during a scorching hot "Winter"s day, Henrique needed to close the shop early due to having an appointment and knew that if he left some of his perishables lying around they would go bad. Naturally he decided to put most of them in his ice box for the day so he could take care of his business. The next day he returned to put everything back on the shelf and notice that the bottle of his syrup was quiet cold. He decided he should try diluting the syrup with water again to test something. After a quick swig of his beverage he felt refreshed and enlightened, so much so he started making a big batch of the syrup and started adding water to be put in his ice box. Thus selling a new product called "Watson's Ale". It was a smashing success as his shoppers started buying the drinks over anything else in his pharmacy.
• Watson's had become a local brand that everyone knew as people from all over the nation of /awat/ would visit to buy some of his ale. Even in bulk
• With Henrique's new found wealth he decided he should invest his earnings to expand, but not just any expansion, he clearly needed to up production of his product so he can sell it to more individuals.
• In 1881 Henrique decided to peruse a degree in engineering after accumulating excess amounts of money from his new business venture
• In 1883 after Henrique had acquired his degree he decided to leave his business beverage business to his wife while he pursued a new venture by investing some of his funds into engineering cars and household appliances that are affordable for the citizens of /awat/.
• It was originally called Watson's Appliances and Vehicles, providing things like ovens, washing machines, automotive parts amongst other day to day objects
• By 1887 Watson's Appliances and Vehicles had outsold Watson's Ale to the point where he decided that he would combine the brands in order to form "Watson's Industries"
• By 1889 Watson's Industries was developing products ranging from Automotive to Consumables, growing larger every year to the point where Henrique decided he would branch off the consumable branch of Watson's Industries into their own company in order to start focusing on medicinal and technological aspects of Watson's Industries

Update 3/22/25

• While the Consumables continued onward in their own brand separate from the main company, Watson's Industries made great strives in various other fields such as engineering and space travel.
• By the 1960s Watson's industries had becomes a household name in terms of recognizability and influence, at which point Watson's industries decided to invest in the development of the capital city, while also moving their HQ to the center of it.
• By 1971 the original founder and CEO Henrique had passed away and left the company to the city and appointed his son as ceo and left him his steak in the company. Watson's industries was still run by the family but now was meant to serve the nation Henrique loved.
• As the years moved forward advancements in the science field greatly improved thanks to the funding and research of Watson's Industries. They even created learning facilities for individuals from all over the world to attend and even have potential employment by Watson's Industries.

/awat/ space program

• Established over 80 years ago, the /awat/ space program funded by Watson Industries have made great advancements in space travel
• Has sent in various animals and plant life into space in order to test shuttles and other technologies
• First gator on the moon planted and claimed a spot for Watson Industries for any future expansions of the company
• Many of the advancements in space travel also contributed to general flight and aviation as well
• Many other nations see to the /awat/ space program for ideas and joint projects in order to advance their space travel as well
• Satellites have been sent into space in order to discover more planets and life in space
• New galaxies and planets have been discovered via telescopes but have not been documented by any of the satellites

Railroad extensions

• As the jerboa's continue to improve the train station, many new visitors have begone to show up in /awat/
• An influx of hoomans seemed to have appeared as well. Not much is known but it seems some are just moving out of their old homes and living else where
• The train station also double as an import system as more goods enter /awat/ through the system as a cheaper alternative to trucks and such as bigger quantities can move in and out of the nation
• Notes around Watson Industries show that the rail road was made with advance light weight metals for the most stable and safe transportation of citizens and product
• A few trains use the systems but the main one it was designed for is a singular green tram car that brings in tourist from all of the nations. Its able to go on any surface as well but for safety concerns it prefers to use the railway system

Recent teleportation of /awat/

• A recent development in /awat/ was an experiment that went wrong that teleported the nation into a weirdo universe that has been tentatively called /bant/
• As far as the researchers in /awat/ know, a teleportation device was set off on 4/1 where the population of the world were thrown into this "/bant/' world. A world similar to our own but with more nations seemingly lost from their home. Refugees if you will
• Many other faimilar nations were there along with the unknown ones seen. /awat/ remained calm and went on with their day as the researchers in Watson Industries continue to find a way to get back to their own world
• Eventually /awat/ along with the rest of the world were safely sent back home and no one was non-the wiser
• In Watson Industries the researchers agreed to dismantle the device and lock up the papers pertaining to the device as it was deemed a failure and unsafe as of this moment.

Various Sections of Watson Industries

• Medical Center
  • Various Teamates who work in the medical center usually test new pharmaceuticals for the citizens of /awt/
  • They are made with the intent of being used for the unique physiology of the /awat/ citizens before they start testing on other races of people in the world.
  • They get tested vigorously through multiple tests which could take years before hitting heading to hospitals for public testing
• Engineering center
  • Usually in charge of creating new innovative ways of to improve society
  • Works closely with the space program which includes creating things like rovers and satellite parts
  • Currently developing various mechanical prosthetics of various body parts and limbs
• Phytology center
  • The continued study of plants that seemingly exists in /awat/
  • Collects data on other various plants that exists in the other regions of the world
  • Works with the Medical center to research if any of the plants have a medicinal purpose
  • Also works to preserve every plant known to them in their most basic form in case of emergencies
• Joshu works
  • Joshus who work at Watson Industries on behalf of koyolabo have their own dedicated section where they act as a very standard R&D area
  • Known for stress testing various products that they develop
  • Explosions happen on the daily
  • Is often in charge of the products made by the other centers to make sure they can handle the "Joshu" test
