Hi — My name is Alex, and I have experienced many forms of misogyny due to being AFAB. I could never wish this form of discrimination onto anybody else. I will be talking about my experiences in non—graphic detail on here, and proving hotlines for people to contact if they are suffering from misogynistic abuse/hate.

First of all, what is Misogyny? Misogyny is hatred of, contempt for, or prejudice against women or girls. It is a form of sexism that keep women at a lower social status than men, thus maintaining the social roles of patriarchy. Misogyny is sadly deeply rooted into many systems, and it is still supported by many people.

Misogyny can lead to actions such as domestic violence — "What is domestic violence?" Domestic violence, also called domestic abuse, includes physical, emotional and sexual abuse in couple relationships or between family members. Domestic violence can happen against anyone, and anybody can be an abuser, but it is primarily men who commit this disgusting abuse against women.
