Forsaken Antis Annoy Me.
Main Contact StrawPage Go Back?

I'm really tired of feeling ashamed for a special interest of mine and constantly ridiculed by people who act otherwise friendly with me despite the fact that my profile is almost always themed after a character from the media. I refuse to believe people are oblivious of this, knowing the internet.
It's not that I perceive myself as being specifically targeted. I'm not that conceited, the concept holds little relevance. It's that majority, if not all, of the people that criticize Forsaken for being problematic, for being awful, and insulting its entire playerbase blindly are glaringly obvious hypocrites.
You people will lament about people continuing to play and support the game because of its controversies, as if we are directly funding the game to benefit Soul.
And then continue to play Roblox.
I mean, the irony is obvious, right? Roblox is well-known for its pedophile problem and, namely, how there was no moves to really fix the issue until it was blown up by Schlep. Even then, the way they handled the issue is hated by everyone. Nobody likes the age verification because it just makes it easier to find people in a specific age group. People are buying accounts in certain age groups - I've seen it. Dating has been a promoted idea for the future. 18+ games.
But you are helping victims by hating on Forsaken fans, right? You are righteous for not supporting one game hosted on a platform that has hosted so many predators.
Oh, maybe you argue that Roblox is your special interest. Maybe you say you've played it for years, grew up on it, and simply cannot bring yourself to let go of it. Besides, Roblox is trying to fix the issue, and there's always bad people.
...So, why is it different when it comes to Forsaken? I am an autistic 17 Y/O so unbelievably fixated on Forsaken that I have grown upset and nearly even cried with frustration because I tried other games and they weren't exactly like it. I get so eager over updates that I grow nauseous and cannot stop talking about it, checking for when it drops, and pester every friend I have. It is often ALL I think about.
But I don't even feel safe mentioning it without having someone villainize me or mention how awful the team is. These are the same people that play Roblox and blow money for pretty avatars, gamepasses, or have other people gift them. I don't think I'm better than these people. I love Roblox so much that I can't even focus on other games I once loved because I could be playing Roblox. I have over 100+ cosplay avatars. But I am stereotyped and stuck into a group because people are sheep.
And, yeah, it hurts. It hurts a lot, really. This is the internet, I'm aware, and I am being sensitive. But I need you to think about how YOU would feel if the positions were swapped, especially if you are also autistic (and, oftentimes, it's people who suffer the same who still diss on it!) You do not just "choose" your special interests, and you cannot easily detach.
Even if I could, I bluntly say that I wouldn't. Forsaken is not solely its past and it is actively working to be better and completely separate from Soul as much as they can. I constantly hear "25%" but are you guys even aware that the 25% is only through Robux? Digital game currency that is essentially useless unless it is sold illegally and, at that point, he is just a cybercriminal that has put himself at risk. They are remaking milestones, skins, to literally separate.
But I doubt any of you are aware of that. You just want to hop on the bandwagon and then play and theme your profile after problematic medias just the same. It's so ironic to me that Hoyoverse fans are so especially vocal about this as if Hoyoverse hasn't been through so much shit. I must clarify that I do NOT hate Hoyoverse, but it's hypocritical.
Don't get me started on Dandy's World fans hating on Forsaken. That's your sibling. You have a past too.
At some point, it just becomes bullying, and it's sad. It's always "bring back bullying" until it affects you then it's "being cringe is free" until it's something you dislike. You make fun of kids and teenagers who enjoy a game that does not even have harmful content in it and, to the best of their ability, removed those who caused the controversies. You will make fun of them for kinning a character from there but then have an entire Rentry dedicated to characters that are "literally you" and there's nothing wrong with kinning, but you make it seem like there is when it comes to Forsaken. You will make fun of them for having ships like they are actually shipping the real people and not the characters (and many of you ship RPF so what is this double standard?)
I don't even want to acknowledge Spawnism for very long. If you genuinely believe that was/is a real issue and not just a fictional religion or people larping then I would urge you to not talk on the topic. For those that legitimately do believe in it, they are clearly mentally ill and deluded, and you should not be making fun of them. You would think disabled/disordered people would understand this, but apparently not. Thus I say, stop making fun of psychosis.
"You" = SOME of You
Stop blaming Forsaken for everything. Stop acting like it is the worst fandom known to man. You guys are not toddlers - is this "baby's first fandom"? ALL fandoms have their awful sides. You, again, generalize a group of people who like something, but I doubt you'd appreciate it if it was done to you. It's bizarre I even feel like I need to explain this.
No, your precious little characters weren't ruined because they were put into Forsaken. No, it's not the game's fault that's how some people found out about the character's existence. Believe it or not, it's okay for a person to get into a character not from their original source. You guys sound like those people who complain when music goes trending on TikTok because "now it's ruined1!!". Do you not want them to succeed or gain traction? Was it ever that serious?
IT'S OKAY TO NOT LIKE FORSAKEN. It's okay to dislike the gameplay and think it's extremely boring or find the character interpretations, lore, designs uninteresting or lackluster. It's okay to have an opinion. What's not okay is stereotyping a bunch of people and remaining stubbornly uneducated while you jump at any opportunity to loudly hate on the game for outdated shit, especially to somebody who actively likes the game.
For such a "progressive" generation, you guys fall short.
