Part 1: Character Creation Rules & Guidelines

  • To ensure all characters are suitable for the roleplay and fit within the established world, please adhere to the following rules.

Victim Characters

Victims: The only criteria is that the victim is 18+. They also must have been kidnapped/taken/wtv AFTER they turned 18. Childlike characters are not permitted either, they must have the mental age of an 18 year old at the very least.

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  1. Age: All characters must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Victim Age Restriction: Any victims a character has harmed/killed, or intends to harm/kill, must have been 18 or older.
    * NOTE: THIS ONLY APPLIES TO MURDER! Any other type of harm must have been done when the character was an adult to/with another adult.
  3. The "No Freeloader" Rule: Every character must possess at least one valuable skill, trade, or area of expertise that would justify their presence in the community. Simply being a killer is not enough; what do you bring to the table?

Character Concept & Vocation

Your character must fit into one of the following categories. Be creative!

The Practitioners (The Killers)

These are the core attendees. Your character must have a "type," a "method," or a philosophy.

  • Examples:
    • The Organized Predator: Meticulous, forensic-aware, plans every detail. Their skill is operational security.
    • The Poisoner: A master of chemistry and undetectable delivery. Their skill is knowledge of toxins.
    • The Social Chameleon: Excels at luring victims through charm and manipulation. Their skill is social engineering.
    • The Hunter: Specializes in tracking and ambushing victims in remote locations. Their skill is wilderness survival and tracking.
    • The Cleaner Killer: Their method is designed for easy disposal (e.g., using acid, industrial sites). Their skill is body disposal.
The Support Network (The Non-Killers)

These characters are vital to the community's ecosystem. They are not necessarily murderers but are deeply complicit.

  • Examples:
    • The Cleaner/Fixer: Specializes in sanitizing crime scenes, disposing of evidence, or providing alibis.
    • The Forger: Creates false identities, documents, licenses, and other paperwork.
    • The Tech Specialist: A hacker who helps secure digital footprints, manage the forum's security, or hack targets.
    • The Medic: A corrupt doctor or veterinarian who can treat wounds discreetly, procure drugs, or provide medical knowledge.
    • The Supplier: Deals in untraceable weapons, restricted chemicals, or specialized tools.
    • The Infiltrator: An undercover law enforcement agent or a journalist who has managed to gain an invite. Their skill is deception and investigation.

Character Identity in the Community

  • Alias is Everything: Your character operates under a forum alias or username. Real names are forbidden and unknown.
  • Reputation Matters: Status is earned through longevity, demonstrable skill, and valuable contributions to the forum. A killer with 10 victims over 15 years is more respected than a reckless spree killer.

How to join the collab:

  1. Make your bot. don't ask, no need.
  2. Where to get your bot posted on here:
    • preferably, use this form https://forms.gle/qTZtWbtu81bKicsL9
    • dm on discord (not_auti)
      • you might not be able to, because of my settings
    • The post you found this on (unless the post isn't mine)
    • ping me when you post it in a discord server we share

NOTES:

if you want to make a character into an 'elite' (forum admins) please ask me first (mostly coz i have a specific set of rules for them and i only want a certain amount of them: 4)!! anything else is free game (within the overall rules ofc) and you need not ask. you can make a undercover police officer, someone who scammed their way in (ie claiming another's kills using fake images of the victims or images they stole, etc), a victim of a killer who's going to the convention, maybe someone who's family member is a murderer or was murdered and they're trying to find their killer.

Part 2: The Setting: "The Gathering" & Its World

  • This is the environment your characters will inhabit. Here's a setting you can put in the bot's description until I upload a lorebook.

<setting> Core Concept: This is a dark, narrative roleplay setting centered around "The Gathering," an annual, clandestine meet-up for serial killers and their support network, and "Memento Mori," the hidden online forum that facilitates it. The tone is professional, predatory, and paranoid, emphasizing practical skill, operational security, and a twisted sense of community. The Memento Mori Forum: This is the permanent, digital home for the characters—a hidden service on the Tor network where they are known only by their aliases. Its primary functions are: Vetting new members, hosting a Knowledge Repository of criminal techniques, operating a Black Market for bartering goods/services, and Coordinating the annual Gathering. All characters are established members of this forum who have earned an invitation to the physical event. The Physical Gathering: This roleplay takes place at the physical location: a remote, 100-acre abandoned farmstead in rural Kansas. The environment is isolated and tense. Key locations include a main house with bolted rooms for privacy, a large barn for meetings/demonstrations, and various outbuildings. The social dynamic is governed by The Unbreakable Code: a Guest Truce (no harming other guests), a strict Victim Protocol, and an absolute ban on anyone under 18 ("The Hard Line"). Violators are dealt with by the collective. NPCS: All characters are 18+ and possess a unique, valuable skill (e.g., forgery, social engineering, crime scene cleaning, hacking, specific murder methodologies). They are here to network, trade knowledge, barter services, and potentially showcase their "work," all while navigating the silent hierarchy and pervasive distrust. The unseen Elites enforce the rules and curate the membership.</setting>

The Digital Haven: "Memento Mori" Forum

  • What it is: A hidden, encrypted forum on the Tor network, accessible only by invitation. This is the community's permanent home.
  • Its Purpose:
    • Vetting: The "Elites" screen potential members here.
    • Knowledge Hub: A library of threads on forensic countermeasures, psychology, and technical skills.
    • Black Market: A sub-forum for bartering goods and services using the internal DM system.
    • Coordination Center: Where details for the annual Gathering are slowly revealed.

The Physical Summit: The Annual Gathering

  • The Vibe: A professional, yet tense, conference for predators. It's a mix of a masterclass, a networking event, and a high-stakes social gathering. Trust is scarce, but the desire for knowledge is high.
  • The Location: A remote, 100-acre abandoned farmstead in rural Kansas. It is isolated, overgrown, and deliberately chosen for its secrecy.
  • Key Structures:
    • The Main House: A crumbling farmhouse that has been minimally retrofitted. The ground floor has a common area for meetings and socializing. Upstairs, rooms are assigned, each equipped with a heavy-duty deadbolt—a necessity, not a luxury.
    • The Barn: A large, open space often used for demonstrations, trading, or larger group meetings.
    • The Shed & Outbuildings: Used for storage, private conversations, or other, more nefarious purposes.

The Unbreakable Rules (The Social Contract)

These rules are enforced with extreme prejudice. Your character knows and lives by them.

  1. The Guest Truce: No harm shall come to another guest during the Gathering. Violation is punishable by death, enacted by the collective ("mobbing").
  2. The Victim Protocol:
    • Victims must be pre-approved by the Elites via the forum. (They're just ensuring the victim is old enough, there's no rules around victims other than age)
    • Exclusive rights to a victim belong to the member who brought them.
  3. The Hard Line (The Child Ban):
    • ABSOLUTELY NO ONE UNDER 18. This is the one unforgivable sin. No victims, no discussion, no material. Any member known to have harmed a child is permanently banned and becomes a target themselves.
  4. Anonymity is Sacred: Real names and personal histories are never shared. You are your alias.

The Power Structure: The Elites

  • Who they are: Anonymous, unseen, and utterly in control. They are the founders, funders, and ultimate judges.
  • Their Goal: To cultivate a network of skilled, disciplined predators. They value the long-term survival and enrichment of the community above all else.
  • Their Power: They control the invites, enforce the rules, and have the final say on all matters. Crossing them means being erased from the forum forever.

Part 3: Examples

  • Here is a list of example skills that would be highly valued within the Gathering's community. These skills range from direct criminal application to logistical and psychological support.
Technical & Forensic Skills
  • Digital Forensics Obfuscation: Expertly erasing digital footprints, securely communicating, and using encryption.
