A Special Addition to "They Hide Behind Things We Know"
Natalie gives you a "Pow" after you tell her that you will attend Aubrey's event. The team has a way of congratulating or praising one another with this one-syllable word. You smile in response. Then, Natalie warns you.
"Make sure that you read the whole thing before you tell Aubrey you'll be there. I hope that you will come but ... just make sure that you read it."
You end the call with Natalie and you lay back on your favorite pillow with your softest stuffed animal before reading Aubrey's whole message. You find out what this event in the woods is all about. It could be worse, you say out loud after reading it. Knowing Aubrey, it could have been some kind of hazing thing, but you know Natalie would never go along with that.
A few hours in the woods foraging for mushrooms and then a nice dinner afterwards inside Aubrey's huge house? Yes, Aubrey could do much worse.
As long as Natalie is there, you tell yourself, it will be okay.
