I do not have the capability and the capacity to breakdown and understand comics nor do I have the drive to enjoy reading comics anymore - now that I had given up and embraced the futility of my actions, therefore I will base my votes on how my limbic system are feeling before reading, while reading and after reading -- with a sprinkle of imposter syndrome and Dunning-Kruger effect

Entries that I voted for will be bracketed

=CHARIOT RACE=
[[FLUXXO]] vs NEEDLE

Fluxxo - I read it up until the point where Fluxxo and Needle met before getting a massive pang of pain on my chest, I sat on my chair, my head hang low - buried in my hands, while I questioned whether or not I truly am committed to the crafts or am I just another sham, trying to decieve everyone. I continued reading it after a few minutes of contemplating and finished it with a surprisingly calm state of mind
The art is great (as always) - detailed, colored; featured a couple of other contestants as well. The entry puts Fluxxo in another perspective other than being just 'THE CRAAAAZY CLOWN' - being calculative (as always), reasonable and I guess just being the essence of carnival. Very cool (as always)

Needle - Great cover, very detailed art right on the first page, I chuckled a few times while reading it, plenty of references to different kinds of media - pretty cool
The lack of a coherrent storyline definitely hampers the author's ability to storytell but I'm sure that never was their intention and instead they just wanted to make a fun and wild entry; overall, a solid read

=PAPYRUS OF THOTH=
[[ELLIE]] vs LOVELL

Ellie - Team discussions before the initial round are always cool, but that requires a tight-knitted team and solid chemistry between all members, which I guess Sacred Coven proudly presents. Showcases the opponent's team and a few other contestants and the commentators here and there, always cool to see
I got distracted but it was easy to return to reading due to the simplistic dialogues. Although some of the details were lost due to the usage of 1px brush and the author occasionally pulled a Togashi with some parts being less rendered than others, but I'm sure it's an artistic choice rather than carelessness Overall, a decent read

Lovell - Great match for Ellie, another user of the 1px brush school. The contrast between how Lovell speaks against Wanzu's rhymes really hits you like a truck (for me at least)
After the first page, I am immediately hit with two separate events happening at the same time and my little zoomer brain can't pay attention to both, thus making the story a bit lost; I'm sure the author put a lot of thoughts to it and the panelling. so this makes purely a skill issue on my side
On the next page, after getting used to the esoteric layouts, I understand a bit more about the story and the way the author was trying to tell it - is now a lot more easy to access
Great two pages spread afterwards, returning to a more simplified panelling, always good in my opinion
But sadly, the entry was missing two pages before the "actual" beginning, and the last page has little to no impact due to the lack of build-up - making all of that exposition before-hand very wasteful, which is a shame

=MIN'S FESTIVAL=
DIZZY vs [[GRETCHEN]]

Dizzy - Surprised me when the author decided to go with a more fictional setting of "Ancient Egypt", made me feel less alone
Again, I got distracted but it's easy to get back to reading, which is cool (as always)
And I'm surprised (again) with young Tikas - a contestant from the last tournament being a plot driven character, which made the setting more understandable
Later pages lost its luster (uncolored) which is a shame
Overall, I enjoyed it, but the blatant use of exploitables and out-right memeic properties is a bit unbecoming and drives the value of the entry down a bit -- just my two cents, I think it's better to incorporate it into your art instead of just Ctrl C + Ctrl V it down

Gretchen - Very nice entry, colored till the end - I'll be honest and say that I got distracted a few times while I was reading it and just went with the flow, but some parts did get a few chuckles out of me, and the entry showcases both characters very well
Overall, an enjoyable read

=BABOON ATTACK=
[[MELODY]] vs SPEEDRUN

Melody - Wow, holy shit, alright, right off the bat huh? I see, I see how it is. You're building up something huh? I get it now. I understand now. I see now
It was an enjoyable read, the storyline is simple and it features two of her own teammates, which shows the excellency of team's pre-round built-ups and the dynamics between them, very cool

Speedrun - A very quick read, just like his namesake - has a simple premise, and I don't know if the entry features his opponent or not - admittedly, the other character looked quite similar, so I'll give the benefit of the doubt. Other than that, there's not much going on

=DESERT=
BERRY vs HEAD INVESTIGATOR
(Teammate match so no vote, I'd vote for Berry)

Berry - I've read this multiple times, and it's still fun to read
Slow burner, a lot more grounded and calm compared to their opponent's entry and that's perfectly fine

Head Investigator - This is a fucking esoteric read: partially broken English along with inconsistant and wild dialogues and events were happening on every pages, if I were to compare it to something, it's a mix between a car crash and a monster-truck show
Overall an interesting read

=TEMPLE=
[[ATTA]] vs ZEHYA

Atta - I love a good build-up, and it looks like the author had some plans for the future - and I hope to see the author's Future to clash against others' Futures who will either go along with it or go against it

Zehya - Hardest fucking choice for me to vote for the opponent's entry instead of the author's game because I am a gamer at heart, and I ENJOYED the FUCK out of that button smashing and the QTEs, shoutouts for the instant loading texts when you click because I wouldn't bare waiting for it to be fully loaded -- other than being Pavlovian conditioned due to the gamer background, the author also seems to be building up something, which is cool

=PHARAOH=
[[CLOVIS]] vs SCARYMOVIES

Clovis - Probably the first entry that I actually clicked on when the submission period started and read through it fully (not glazing, just a fact) - again, showcases the team and the commentators, which is cool
Feels like it's the most by-the-book entry for me, personally (not a bad thing, just an opinion), nonetheless, it's a fun read

Scarymovies - I finished reading it and I just lost all drive to continue reading the other entries due to how exhausting it was to get to the end, I ended up just going to bed and started reading the rest on the following day - admittedly, I paid more attention to the text rather than the art, occasionally checking it out just to have a reference on what I'm reading (art is great, as always, doesn't require inputs from a sham like me)
In the end, despite the unfinished entry, I kind of enjoyed it, but it's a bit too esoteric for my addled brain

=PYRAMIDS=
JUN-HO vs MARV
(Teammate match so no vote, I'd vote for Marv)

Marv - Fun read all around, the author glazes the bnuuy commentator - he glazes all females and that's pretty funny, albeit a bit annoying, but I'm sure it's all intentional

Jun-Ho - A lot more plot centric, with a few funny moments sprinkled in here and there - dialogues are a bit rough, but I'm not someone to judge a person's writing prowess

=SNAKE PIT=
ASH vs [[GIGGLES]]

Ash - Very little dialogues, but that doesn't matter considering how the author managed to portray both them and the opponent through actions. Overall cool read

Giggles - ROUGH last page holy shit, I had nothing but to despair over it. Like their opponent's entry, little to none dialogues, but it's not a requirement to be effective. The entry is colored which is cool

=D-D-DUEL=
[[ADEL]] vs TOABYAK

Adel - Feels like a bit is missing towards the end, but it was a decent read; some of the terminologies were lost on me since I'm not a YGOhead but the fight was more than understandable. Adel's dialogues were quite chuunibyou during the fight so I found it quite funny and Toabyak's dialogues were quite fitting to the character itself

Toabyak - Went straight for the kill, pretty short but concise, I narrated it outloud because it was a fun entry

=CURSED TOMB=
DEA vs [[SMOKE]]

Dea - I really like the coloring and shading, feels like some kind of juxtaposition to your artstyle, which is cool, but unfortunately I think you should have paced yourself better because it ended right before the meat of the story, doesn't matter if you're 50%, 70% or 90% finished with the second part - for us readers, it's still a missing piece of the full image that you're trying to present

Smoke - Left a lingering feeling for me after reading this, I suppose it's because of the therapeutic and mysterious nature of the entry that made me lost for words, although the ending seems a bit abrupt, the entry itself is cool and I enjoyed it

=MUMMIES=
[[DERRICK&GEOFFREY]] vs NIO

D&G - Texts were a bit hard to read, but it was a pretty funny read - it's unfortunate that you got the short end of the stick and had to compete with such a powerhouse after your original opponent dropped out but hopefully that doesn't deter you from going for your best later on -- honestly, A for effort

Nio - That transition between Midori style and your style is pretty cool - very solid entry despite having a time disadvantage compared to everyone else

=SANDSTORM=
[[KELL]] vs LEO

Kell - A pretty straight-forward read, enjoyable - looks like making friends is a common sight across this round for the lower caste, and that's alright

Leo - Goddamn, I can feel your ambition through your entry - it got rougher at the end but you stuck through with it. I feel like it would be better if you can incorporate sound effects into your entry and put on a little more flair with the voice acting, but this is just nitpicking from me, so please don't take it too seriously -- other than that, I like it

-I ran out of steam, I'm only human, a hundred apologies, a thousand kowtows, sorry if I've insulted any of you because of my lack in literacy proficiency

=GOLDEN SCARAB=
DIESEL JUNKY vs [[LEON]]

Diesel Junky - Interesting use of color, a bit overwhelming for me but I recognise the effort

Leon - Fun read, too much slapstick for my taste but I see why people enjoyed it

=VALLEY OF THE KINGS=
IVY vs [[MARA]]
(Vote defaults to Mara)

Ivy - Unfortunate that time got the best out of you, solid entry

Mara - A bit lackluster, but decent read

=TAHTIB=
[[HEMMA]] vs HENRY

Hemma - Detailed, kind of fucked up in a good way, I enjoyed it

Henry - Pure combat entry, I also enjoyed it

=CROCODILE'S NILE=
BERNO vs [[TIME WARRIOR]]

Berno - Stunning entry

Time Warrior - I like it, the golf game caught me off-guard

=ANUBIS TRIAL=
ANA vs MAROX
(Can't vote for your own match but I'd vote for Ana)

Ana - Bested me by a mile, made my entry feel like a polished turd

Marox - I can list a hundred reasons why I should just kill you on the spot but I think the animosity is wearing thin so all I can say to you is you tried your best and that's okay, but please reconsider your decision of quitting art

=SPHNIX=
CADDI vs [[RIRINA]]
(Vote defaults to Ririna)

Caddi - Unfortunate that it's unfinished, otherwise it would probably be a solid fight entry

Ririna - Hard read, I like that you included your self-insert, took balls to do that

=BTFO MEDJED=
[[GILROY]] vs N377
(Vote defaults to Gilroy)

GILROY - I like the art, very expressive

N377 - Admittedly I really like the entry, has that zoomer humor energy that very little can appreciate due to its inherrent cringey nature, but who cares really, do your own thing (but stick to the rules) is always good

=DUNE SURFING=
[[IGNATIUS]] vs JUGGLEJACK

Iggy - Fun read -- I'm not going to bother repeating keypoints like a broken record so all I can say is I enjoyed reading it

Jugglejack - Clean art (as always), not as memorable as the opponent's entry but does it really matter, I like it

=KING SCORPION (DJ)=
KELLY vs SCARLET
(Teammate match so no vote, I'd vote for Kelly)

Kelly - Action packed read, I enjoyed it

Scarlet - Pretty wholesome read, I enjoyed it

=SUNBOAT RACE=
BAKUTSU vs [[FISHIMOTE]]

Bakutsu - Beats Speedrun in the fastest entry read, props to that, a bit lacking but I like it

Fishimote - Jeez, okay - it doesn't mindbroke me that much so it's good - I felt catharsis after reading your entry so it's good, I felt despair after reading your entry so it's good, I got confused by your behavior around me and then I gave up thinking too deep to it, so it's good -- The humor got me chuckling a few times - no organ ruptures but I'm not one to show much emotions, but I really enjoyed your entry, it's me who should be looking up to you instead of the latter

=STOP YAKUB=
[[HOUNDCLOPS]] vs HUANG

Houndclops - Surprisingly enjoyable read, I like it

Huang - Esoteric read

=SLAVES=
AX'PPOS vs MENACHEMENDELE
(Vote defaults to Ax'ppos)

Ax'ppos - Interesting read, proses got me focused all the way through, I like it

Mende - The whiplash from switching from memetic agents to serious narrative and the flip-flop inbetween caught me off-guard, some parts were pretty funny, I kind of enjoyed it
