Why send fan mail?

Fan letters are not only deeply appreciated by authors, but also serve as a positive signal to publishers that the work is worth continuing, especially since so few people send them. After purchasing the book, you can further support inee-sensei by sending a fan letter.

Okay, how do I send fan mail?

To send fan letters to inee-sensei, you will need to have them forwarded by Love Bullet's publisher, KADOKAWA.

Generally, you will need to use an international mail service to do this. It’s usually very similar to domestic mailing, with only a few additional restrictions on contents. For example, in the United States, you can send a letter by simply using a $1.65 stamp.

The exact procedure varies depending on the country you live in and what you want to send. Visit your local post office's website and check how to send international mail.

More detailed information about the contents and address is provided below.

  • You may also use other delivery services like DHL or FedEx if sending packages. However, please read this entire guide before sending packages as there are some restrictions.
  • Note: You don’t need to choose the fastest delivery option, as letters are forwarded by the publisher once a certain number has arrived. Instead, consider spending that money on more copies of LOVE-BULLET!

What should I send?

Here is a list of common items sent as/with fan letters

  • Letters/Postcards/Message Cards
    • You can write in English if you're not confident in Japanese, as inee-sensei seems to be a native English speaker.
  • Photos/Picture Postcards
    • Include fan art, photos of your cosplay, pictures of your copy of Love Bullet, and so on.
  • Ready-made Snacks
    • While KADOKAWA officially states they don’t accept food items, properly packaged and hygienic snacks are usually acceptable in practice.
    • It’s safer to choose something like tea or chocolate, which is universal and not easily tampered with.
    • This is at your own risk. Neither Daily LB or conroject are responsible if your package doesn't make it.
  • General merchandise
    • Use your own judgment!
  • Hand-made Love Bullet related Goods
    • This can include figures or other items featuring Love Bullet.

Important Notes

  • Be sure to follow your country's international mail regulations.
  • It’s recommended to wrap your letter or postcard inside an additional envelope.
    • The inner envelope (for inee-sensei) should not have your address, while the outer envelope should include your sender details for the publisher's handling.
    • This helps reduce privacy concerns for the publisher and increases the chances of your letter being forwarded.
    • You may still include your name or social media ID on any part of the letter.
  • Avoid sending overly large/heavy items.
  • Do not send homemade or perishable food.
  • Please remember that your letter will be checked by the publisher for security before reaching inee-sensei.
  • It’s fine to send fan letters multiple times, but avoid doing it too frequently.
