Creature Summary: Ailivian Salamansho Rex

Physical Characteristics

Length: 31 m
Weight: 190 tons

Appearance

This Salamansho has the appearance of an enormous snow-white salamander. It has relatively large, webbed limbs that allow it to move briskly on land, but most of its underwater propulsion is provided by its tail, which features a large dorsal fin on its full length. This specimen's tail accounts for nearly half of its full length, measuring around 17 meters. Its skin is scaleless, protection against injuries comes from its thick, toughened skin, which is similar to vulcanized rubber in its mechanical properties.

The creature's eyes are pitch black, but specks of pink can be observed in them if looked at closely, similar to sparse stars on a night sky.

Crystalline structures protrude from its back alongside the spine. In mundane specimens, these protrusions are minimal in size and composed of high-iron content bone. In this specific creature, the protrusions have grown to be more imposing and sharper than their standard size, and seem to be made from a transparent crystal with a light pink emissivity.

The Salamansho has a longer snout than smaller salamanders, filled with knife-like teeth. These tooth can pierce and kill prey easily, but are vulnerable to being shattered to to their shape and hardness. To compensate for this, the Salamansho continuously grows and replaces its teeth throughout its life. These creatures are known for keeping older teeth in their mouths after they have fallen, and for ejecting them at enemies using their cheek muscles.

Location

The Ailivian Salamansho is native to the Ailivian ocean. Individuals tend to continuously migrate between Moriji and the coasts of the Holocontinent. In this cycle, the Salamansho accumulates chuubanite by hunting near Moriji, especially prey living near high chuubaniticity hydrothermal vents. Then it leaves these waters to hunt fish that might be more vulnerable to it due to not being accustomed to its presence.

This specific specimen was first sighted in the Hologlobal bay. Upon returning to Moriji, it rampaged through the countryside North of Memento before settling into the depths of Yormor Lake. A few weeks later, it surfaced again and this time advanced through the mountainous terrain before submerging itself again in Unlivium Lake. With VT-meter measurements and accounts of the damages inflicted on Deadbeat settlements, its path of destruction was determined to be as in Figure 1.

Capabilities

This specimen distinguishes itself from others from its species through the enormous amounts of Luna-type chuubanite amassed into its body. It is suspected it was able to absorb the substance by attacking and devouring the contents of Candy Kingdom trading vessels. Its candification-related abilities have made it an opponent risky to engage for Deadbeat monster hunters, seeking the assistance of specialists is being recommended by this Council.

Its skeleton has been toughened through intense deadbeatification processes, allowing it to support its own weight even on land. It tends to move with a technique that combines slithering with pushes from its powerful limbs, allowing it to reach surprising speeds, especially on smooth terrain and down slopes.
