Be me, named anon, an aspiring manager in the vtubing industry
Hired by Cover. Finally in the big league.
Got told to manage one of the new girls in the upcoming group called ‘Council’
Her name is Ouro Kronii and she’s roleplaying as the ‘Warden of Time’.
Oh damn, she looks cute. And wada is on this too? Damn. As a Fate fan, I’m too blessed. And she’s an aspiring VA as well? I’m getting a good feeling about this girl already.

Fast forward to meeting her on Discord for the first time

First time having a meeting with her through voice call.
She started talking and sounded like she just woke up.
Holy shit that voice is sex.
Had a bit of chitchat about vtubing and how managing works from my end.
Everything seems alright though she always sounds so tired and uninterested. Probably stressed out from the upcoming debut that she’ll have to go through.
Voice is sex though, so I’ll let it slide this time.
Told her she’ll be fine and to believe in herself.
We then discussed over the weeks before debut about streaming, testing out her live riggings, looking through what she plans to present during stream. Cover had already provided her resources to make her song and she sent her teaser to me.

A: ”Pretty good progress overall so far. All these preparations will work spectacularly during debut time. The schedule looks fine too. Interesting choice of games too.”
K: ”…Thanks. Hopefully some people will like it. Also, are you sure that it’s okay to leave “that” as my goal?”
A: ”Oh don’t worry about it too much. A goal’s a goal no matter how simple it looks. And in Hololive, every girl has a super majority of supportive fans. They’ll love you no matter what you are. Now, I’ll get you to rehearse your debut while fitting your role as a sadistic time warden. Imagine me as the audience while you proclaim yourself as a higher being. Just don’t go overboard even if the fans demand that you treat them like pigs.”
The debut stream was a success. Kronii’s now leading the group in subs and superchats. Oh boy, sounds like more work for me up ahead but that means more good things will come from this.

Skipping through the past few months but here are the highlights

Honeymoon period over. Now back to reality.
Kronii while looking more comfortable in streaming, had been becoming a bit more complacent.
Her sadistic kayfabe died out a few streams after her debut.
She became a dorky sex voice doomer vtuber girl. (Not a bad thing to a certain extent though)
Compared to her other gemmates, she streams less.
Played the same games for weeks.
Sharing POVs for some reason becomes a problem specific to Kronii whenever she does collabs. I have to convince her to stream her POVs sometimes if the game requires it.
In sponsorship related matters, I had to sit through hours of crude remarks from some sponsors because Kronii scuffed up their sponsored streams. I repeat. Streams. Not just one stream. Streams.
In the past few weeks, I had to babysit Kronii through A LOT of things. Like A LOT.
One time she started playing Minecraft onstream which went awry when she became so addicted to that she would play for hours every single day at the time.
Her already messed up sleep schedule got fucked even more because of this, as well as sleeping through the first half-hour of a collab, encountering last minute technical issues, even dozing off during meetings at times. She even forgot to eat at some time.
I had resorted to begging to HR to give me details of her emergency contact and called her mom to check up on her.
It ended up becoming quite a drama when some of her fans complained about her being hesitant to stream the game even when they exclaimed that they don’t care about her not interacting with them at all if it means that they get to see her play Minecraft live. Typical simps.
She hasn’t played the game as much ever since; dare I say to the point where she actively avoids any suggestion of a solo Minecraft stream unless other girls plan to play the game at the same time.
Another time that she annoyed me was when she would private a couple of her streams without any explanations for lots of hours. Even when she explained to me, I still cannot understand the logic behind them, but I remained being silent and let her do what she want and helped her whenever she needed it.
The last thing I want, while working through the night & having meetings with various people within management as well as sponsors, is to get into an argument with her on why “hunttheimpeared” is not offensive in any form.
She’s also paranoid about her home country being mentioned in any parts of the stream.
Doesn’t she know how the Streisand Effect works?
Sometimes I need to login to her twitter account to keep it barely active so her fans don't think that she's dead.
I know she doesn’t seem the type to use social media, but at least make some effort to interact in public outside streams. Share some things about your daily stuff no matter how insignificant it is. The hand-bleeding one was a bit TMI but that was a good example. Make more tweets like those.
The members community section is so barren aside from a couple of polls and members stream reminders. I even had to post a picture of the tart I just made because the members community section is so fucking empty.

Rant over…or so you thought.

Be me. Staying up late night at 1am because I live in fucking Japan while Kronii lives in the other side of the world where it’s afternoon.
She still hasn’t wake up for our scheduled weekly meeting happening in 10 minutes.
It’s always like this almost every week.
She just woke up and hopped on to discord.
K: ”Yawn…kroniichiwa.”
God damn this woman and her sexy tired voice. I hate that I love it.
A: ”Do you have the things I ask for you to prepare?”
K: ”Uhh, yeah. Here you go.”
Kronii sends her draft of her work schedule for the week through discord. Bland and sparse as usual.
A: "Kronii, why do you always stream the same stuff almost every week? And why are there less streams than the previous week?"
K: "I like this schedule. And the kronies apparently like these types of schedules too when I asked them a couple of streams ago. I want to improve myself outside streaming. I can't sit around all day just staring at my computer."
A: "But that's literally your job. I'm sure there are so many things you could stream on which are to your liking."
K: "But this is the best I can do though. I don't want to fuck myself up any more than the usual."
A: ”Do you think your fans would love it if you decided to stream without any prior notice during times when they least expect it?”
K: ”Yeah, they might. Though I’m not sure what to stream during those times. Not sure if I even have the energy to stream outside my regular streaming regimen.”
Woman, you did unplanned Minecraft collabs for days on other girls’ channels. Don’t bullshit me with this energy nonsense.
I hate this schedule, but I can't reject it because Omega said the girls are always right and that I must be always supportive of their decisions. That fucking faggot I swear to God. Who the fuck put him in charge of the EN management department when he hasn’t done jack shit on managing a single vtuber before?
A: "I also noticed that you've been playing some fun games offstream. Some of them being games your fans wanted to see you play. Have you thought about streaming them anytime soon?"
K: "Maybe. I'll think about it." [Side note: It has been months then since we last talked about this and nothing has been done about it]
I hate this fucking job.

The next day at the holo managers-only private server…

M1: ”Hey anon! How’s it going between you and Kronii? Betcha have it rough, aye?”
A: ”Yea…”
Man I just want to get out of this conversation.
Other managers are telling their experiences with the council girls.
They all talked about how the “friendly and cooperative” session they had with the girls that they managed
They even dm’ed each other after work hours. (Kronii never did that with me)
They were sharing so many private stuffs with each other. One of them even got nudes of one of the girls.
A: ”Fuck, that’s hot.”
M2: ”I know, right? Where’s Kronii’s nudes, man? I really want to see those bare tits.”
A: ”Don’t have it. She isn’t the kind of girl to carelessly share any of her private infos aside from the ones she mentioned on stream.”
M2: “Wow, she sounds really boring.”
A: “You don’t know the half of it. She seems like the type who would also report me to the higher ups for asking her to send a picture of her dog.”
M1: ”Oh, you just know.”
M2: ”Bruh, you’re a sick fuck.”
A: “Anyway, how do you guys deal with the girls on your end? I know that we all don’t have the same problems in this managing gig. I just want to know how to get Kronii to be motivated into streaming more like the other girls.”
M1: “Not gonna lie, anon. You kinda got the short end of the stick since the beginning. All that stress you got and Kronii being a “lazy bitch” was because she’s the frontrunner in this group. But by some form of witchcraft, anything that she does on stream causes people to like her and instantly forgive her for all her shortcomings and difficulties that you have to deal with for weeks, leading her to continue doing the same thing every week without any improvements. She probably has an unhealthy way of coping with the stress as well. You’ve probably tried to help her in some way to deal with the stress. But people like her are too stubborn to receive help. You gotta approach this in a roundabout way. During dead air times in meetings, ask her how’s stuff. Unrelated things to work. In my case, my girl would always tell me about her dinner and her favourite beers. I then recommend her some beer brands and we just kept on talking afterwards about why some brands taste better than others.”
A: “Why does that sound like couples-talk?”
M1: “Have you not talked to a girl before, anon?”
A: “…not like that, no.”
M2: “Damn son, you’ve been her manager for a few months and you still talk to Kronii like an employee?”
A: “Isn’t that our job?”
M1: “Yes and no, my boy. Listen closely. Imma teach you how to get Kronii to be good at her job, as well as getting you closer to her.”

They taught me the ways and admittedly, they work. Over the months, she’s becoming more invested into streaming more variety of contents, even hosting guerrilla streams without even consulting me at times (which I don’t mind). She got better in shilling sponsored streams too and finally released her original song too which I forgot was a thing. She’s also started opening up to her fans, talking a lot of things in her private life. We even started dm’ing each other and she shared some stuff that no one else knows, like reviving her old side gig as a VA and about going back to church recently and learning to appreciate life more (still no nudes though). Her 1st year anniversary stream is happening now and the simpbucks just keep on rolling. We’re projected to become the top SC earner in a stream, surpassing a former Holo’s record. I plan to propose to her to be my girlfriend after her stream ends.

In her DM sometime after stream ended.
Voice call on. Let’s roll.
A: “Hey Kronii. Congrats on the anniversary stream. You’ve smashed it out of the park this time.”
K: “T-thanks, anon. I really couldn’t have done without you by my side. I really appreciate you for sticking around with someone like me.”
Oh yes, this is looking good so far. It’s now or never now.
A: “No, all of this is done by you. My only role is to support you through thick and thin in your career. But ultimately, I want to be able to support you even more than just a manager. Kronii, I-
K: “GWAK”
???: “Hey Kronii! Just saw your stream and it was so good! I had to drop in and celebrate this special moment with you.”
A female voice? Who is this? Damn it, I was so close. Calm down, anon.
A: “Kronii? You there? Everything alright?”
K: “Huh?! O-oh yeah. Sorry about that. She snuck into my room and surprised me.”
???: “Well, you didn’t respond after I knocked on the door a couple of times, so I decided to be a little devil and be a bit more invasive than our usual special moments.”
K: “Shhh, not in front of my manager.”
Oh, so she’s with a girl. But the way they talked with each other giggling about in between every sentence as I am typing out this monologue in head means that they’ve definitely known each other for a while. Yeah, that’s it. Nothing too special about that for sure. But my plan is ruined. I didn’t expect things to turn out this way. How do I dea-
K: “-on, hey anon. You still there? Sorry that you feel left out of this. She’s already gone.
A: “Aaa—am okay. I was just so entranced by the way you two talked so sweetly to each other that I just decided to keep quiet and let you guys have some space.
K: “Oh anon, you didn’t have to do that. She can be a bit too forward at times whenever we hang out, sometimes even at church she can be a bit overzealous while preaching, but I love her for that.”
A: “w-wow. Sounds like you two are a couple or something haha.”
K: “…”
A: “K-Kronii? Hello?”
K: “Ahh sorry, it just occurred to me that no one has ever called us a couple. It really made me happy.”
…
K: “So what was it that you were gonna tell me before she cut in? Something about being more than a manager?
A: “…uhh, I’m trying to remember. O-oh right, I was gonna say that I want to support you as a friend. I genuinely wish to help you in any way as I can, even after this whole vtubing stuff.”
K: “T-thank you for the kind gesture, anon. I really don’t know what to say. I never thought that I could be able to be friends with a guy.”

A: “Wow, I feel honoured. Well, I gotta go to bed now. Congrats on the anniversary and see you tomorrow?”
K: “Oh, maybe the day after. Gonna have a date with her for a celebration. Ok, anon. Kroyasumi~”
