N: Are you coming to the festival this weekend?
S: Yeah, probably.
S: I was invited by the Merchant's guild.
N: I see.
N: Same here.
N: To lend some aid
S: What sort of aid?
N: I'll be helping grill yakitori at a food store.
N: There's a shortage of manpower.
S: Yakitori by Nagusa-! I'm looking forward to it!
N: There's lots of other food stalls.
N: Hopefully it'll be worth the time.
N: Of course, I'm hoping you'll have fun too.

(I participated in a festival in a back alley shopping street)

Merchant A: Welcome! Welcome! We have Yakisoba in special sauce! Okonomiyaki too!
Merchant B: More melon cream than you'll ever need! If you're hungering for some melon bread, this is the spot!
Merchant C: This is the special cotton candy that'll make Chise fall in love with you! Your loss if you don't buy!
Hyakkiyako club member A: The fitness performance will begin shortly in the square, do come and visit.
Hyakkiyako club member A: This is a great opportunity to burn off a whopping 500kcal, perfect for diets!

(As I had fun with the food stalls and performances, it became evening before I knew it.)
(Towards the end of the festival, I met Naguse cleaning up in an alleyway)

N: Ah, Sensei, you came.
N: How was the festival?
S: It was great. Thanks.
S: I'm glad I finally get to see you.
N: I was in the food stall the whole time, not like I could seen you either.
N: With every fresh grill were eager customers who ate them all up.
N: Everyone did their part.
S: If only you got to have fun.
Merchant B: Ah there you are chairman! You really saved my bum today!
N: Oh, I...
Merchant B: Oh? Or was it the vice-chairman? Well, whatever! I can only wonder what could have happened if Nagusa wasn't here...!
Merchant B: Got worried sick when the guy in charge of the yakitori suddenly called in sick...
Merchant B: But Nagusa chan really came in handy!
Merchant B: And I was surprised at how good she was at grilling as an amateur.
N: I'm glad to hear they were passable.
N: But I fear they weren't up to the usual standard.
Merchant B: Haha! No need for humilities!
Merchant B: Oh! I almost forgot!
Merchant B: We're having an after party at the store after this. Wanna join?
Merchant B: Everyone's in a good mood after the festival.
Merchant B: I'm sure they'll be happy to see you with them, Nagusa.
N: But... I...
N: Sorry, I have something I need to do.
Merchant B: Ah, I guess that can't be helped in that case.
Merchant B: It's hardly a suitable replacement, but feel free to come by the store any time. I'll give as much yakitori you want. Free of charge!
N: Thank you. I'm looking forward to it.
S: You sure you're alright with the appointment?
N: No... that was a lie.
N: It was just an excuse.
S: Not so confident at parties?
N: No, I have no problems with a lively atmosphere.
N: But... I'm just scared I'll ruin it.
N: I'm not a talker, I'm expressionless, I'm no comedian...
N: I'll stick out like a sore thumb
N: Wouldn't I just be a nuisance if I just got shoved into someone's good time?
S: You're no nuisance./I enjoy being with you.
N: !?
N: B-but...
S: You don't need extraordinary talent to express how you feel.
S: Quiet and expressionless you may be.../but you can have fun just like others just the same.
N: ...I understand.
N: Sensei, may I head off for a moment?
N: I'll ask if they still have a spot?
S: Of course.

(Nagusa's steps seemed lighter than usual.)
