Kemonoanon's Artist Recommendations List For Noob/Illustrious
This is an archive of posts I made on /trash/ AI Slop threads. Many people who genned didn't know many artists to use and why they should use them. They also didn't know what to look for in terms of how an artist will influence their gens. So I recommended artists while giving some thoughts of what I look out for while adding them. To summarize what I look for when adding artists, I break it down into several categories: body shape/parts, flat vs detailed shading, color tone/pallet (light colors vs dark colors), eye shape and details, hair details and background details.
Combining artists who share similarities will usually mesh well together. Combining artists with too many conflicting styles (IE combining an extremely voluptuous body type artist with a petite body type artist) increases the chance of breaking the gen which will just cause a bunch of noise or horribly smeared characters to generate. Mind you that you should try using a lora if you want to truly capture an artist's style and some artists listed may require one.

Thomasz is well known for his good skin shading and big saggy titties. If you want a certain breast shape or nice skin shading then try out this artist. Accio also draws some good skin but also handles chubby girls. Lots of focus on thick thighs with a good shape.
Mel/a does shiny skin shading with some very attractive eye details and a focus on demon girls and dark skin. Carnelian is a great artist in general. Their body shapes are grounded and there's a focus on modern clothing, detailed clothing, and beautiful eyes. Fal Maro is known for their thick thighs and light shading. Definitely good for a certain thigh shape and detailed hair.

DD and Yoshi Tama I use for a certain body shape. I love the way both of them draw hips and thighs. Yoshi Tama also makes some eyes I like using so that's another plus for them. Hun is a guro artist so but I really like the way they do shading and faces. While I don't put guro in negative, I haven't had guro pop up in any of my gens using the artist.
Jun is an incredible artist in general but there's a few reasons I like using this artist. Great female body shape, large and detailed eyes, and overall great backgrounds and focus on fantasy clothing. Mogudan and Ghibli movies are also good for background assistance btw. Aruuraru is barely rivaled when it comes to their shading. Add this artist to your prompt to immediately get some realistic but still cartoonish shading. I would say their shading is on the level of Range Murata.
