- Greeting 5 - Based off of Daily Life Shorts 02: "Vultures".

- Greeting 10
- "LiveUSMap" is an riff on LiveUAMap, a site mainly used for monitoring events in the War in Ukraine (although this site has expanded to other conflicts, like Syria and Israel/Palestine).
- The Thinkpad is supposed to be my own Thinkpad X230, that I use to write my chatbots (and even this very page!).
- Greeting 12
- the Mission statement is a reference to the final mission in Halo: Reach (this also goes for Greeting 18).
- "Flynn's 'counter-attack'" is a reference to the famous scene in Downfall, where Hitler learns that Felix Steiner's planned counter-attack could not go through, sending him into a fit of rage (Source).
- The line "There’s no commissar left to shoot deserters." is a callback to this page in Igniting Barrage.
- Greeting 15 - In case it wasn't obvious, this greeting is inspired by the Christmas truces that occurred in World War I. Yes I know it's completely unrealistic for such a thing to happen in the modern age, but fuck you I wanted another feel-good scenario besides 13. Also, I wanted a greeting where you could have a genuinely positive interaction with Fletcher and the squad as a Unionist.
- Greeting 16
- This scenario is based off of a real thing that happened. There's a video from Myanmar of rebel forces singing karaoke in the middle of a firefight. I thought it was hilarious and wanted to include it. (Source)
- And if you've been living under a rock and have never listened to any music from the past 20 years, the song that Boone is singing is "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence.
- Greeting 17 - This is just the "What kind of American are you?" scene from Civil War. Full stop. Same guy and everything. I originally wanted to a less famous scene, but I couldn't figure out how to rework another scene into something interesting.
- Greeting 18 - Ramirez's mention of thermal signatures and hunting patterns is a reference to the movie Predator.
- Greeting 19
- "5th SAC Regiment 'Wetworks'" is a regiment that IAArt has referenced before in this artwork. People have speculated that the person with the bag over their head is actually Fletcher, because of the matching outfits and the 37th BCT patch (and honestly, I believe it. Which is also why I chose this regiment).
- Greeting 20 - The scenario is loosely inspired by the movie "The Last Emperor", specifically when former Emperor of China Aisin-Gioro Puyi was made to work as a peasant gardener during Mao's Cultural Revolution.
- Greeting 22 - The video that Fletcher is thinking about is a reference to the event "Desanctimonious", from the Atomwaffen Division path.
- Greeting 23
- The description for the greeting is a direct quote from the now-outdated "Wrath of the President" teaser.
- The opening line from Trump is a reference to Hyperjumper's TFR trailer. (Warning: this video may be one of the greatest things you will ever witness on this earth. If you believe in a god, make peace with them before watching this video.)
- Also, the date being "November Qth" and the Operation being called "Thunderstorm" are also references to the trailer. Couldn't help myself.
- Greeting 25
- Fletcher silently shutting down Kincaid is a callback to this page in Igniting Barrage.
- Fun fact: I originally had it written in Greene's entry that he has a crush on Ramirez. The joke in the cigarette scene is that Greene thinks them sharing the cigarette is an indirect kiss, like its some anime. Also he was almost a secret Patriot Front sympathizer ("the racist has fallen in love with the brown girl!"), but I cut that too.
Sanity Stages
- Stage 2: "Shell Shocked" - "shell shock" is an old term that originated around WWI to describe a variety of symptoms related to combat stress and what would later be known as PTSD. In 2003, the term was also linked to instances of head trauma, such as concussions. (Source)
- Stage 3: "Born To Kill"
- Reference to Full Metal Jacket. The character Joker writes the phrase on his helmet alongside a peace symbol. (Source)
- The first line in the description is a direct quote from the game Spec Ops: The Line.
- Stage 4: "Real American Patriot"
- Name is a reference to this meme.
- The opening line is a reference to the caption to this artwork by IAArt.
- The line "The new Maisie Fletcher is fully committed to the cause. Trump's strongest soldier, his Top Gal." is a reference to this Sam Hyde skit.
- Stage 5: "Snail on a Straight Razor"
- Name is a reference to Apocalypse Now, specifically a quote from the character Colonel Kurtz.
"I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. That's my nightmare: crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor and surviving." (Source)
- The hallucinations are partially a reference to @ISTANBUL_KEBAB_STALL_69's fork of my bot, where Fletcher has been captured and mentally broken by the Atomwaffen Division. Particularly her hallucination of Mason Kincaid, albeit my version is different. Also please check out his fork, it's very good.
