oh my kagino. . . theyre so strawberries and ice cream to me!
i started really liking kagino during r2 ep 17, when gino had visited kallen in captivity and said she could live a good life if she took on the name stadtfeld instead of holding onto her japanese heritage as a kozuki. it made their dynamic interesting to consider as gino demonstrates to kallen his naivety to the world and the real discrimination and oppression kallen goes through as a japanese person.
theyre very much britannia vs japan. . . and because of that they give me a romeo & juliet feel! that classic star-crossed lovers from rivalling nations. . . (☆▽☆) OHHHH MY GOD!!
throughout the season, gino does come off a bit flirty to kallen, especially when he had called her "prettier than her wanted poster" during the chinese federation arc! gino so badly wants to go head to head with kallen in a fight, he likes her prowess and skill in being the ace pilot of the black knights. he even tried to wave off suzaku saying "let me settle things with kallen" which makes me imagine just how much of their relationship would have this playful rivalry in their combat skills! kallen would so beat him every time, and he would LOVE IT!
gino would be a cute boyfriend to kallen. . . her little blonde puppy dog (.❛ ᴗ ❛.).
