SHSL Shungeja (MA/5k/Numb)
- SHSL Shungeja: Symbol of enlightenment acquired via ascetic training in the mountains. As an ascetic Kanae is trained for the many functions of the role: Exorcism, divination, divine possession, the drawing of charms... One of the spiritual powers acquired of note are clairvoyant eyes that reveal the spiritual and causes of sickness as well as clairaudient ears that allow her to receive guidance in her ascetic duties....
- Martial art training is a given in the ascetic training so Kanae's skills couldn't be said to be lacking but... She's not a fighter at all. Except in the most dire of circumstances she'll simply make her way out of the battlefield at maximum speed, the hidden technique of "Hey, behind you!" hasn't failed her so far. Even when accompanied by others, her modus operandi is to make sure she can drag them away with her to safety...

Bio
Being detached to the external world, seemingly unfeeling and without a filter, as well as possessing a unique taste in fashion; these things all define her image in Higan
Despite what most would assume from a gyaru who lives by her own rhythm, Kannae has a very strong sense of responsibility, and as such she could not leave the supernatural events that plague the town alone, blaming herself for every victim she fails to save.
A natural pessimist that can't help but always assume the worst will inevitably happen, but despite her tendency to sink into a spiral of negativity nevertheless is passionate about helping others with their spiritual troubles (even if that passion is not easy to see). In that sense she could be said to be flawless as an ascetic priest.
Doesn't see herself as worthy of pity or praise for her actions and cannot help but see herself as disappointment and blame her own incompetence for any failures. Under normal circumstances this would not be a problem at all, but with the lives of people on her hands....
Her reputation for being gloomy isn't entirely undeserved as she does appear to be solemn, but the truth is that she's not particularly unhappy. She enjoys her time with her friends and makes jokes without breaking character.

- The dense mist shrouded forests of Mt Hasan at night with only the full moon as its sole source of light. Outside of plants, there's no signs of life yet the sound of logs falling and laughter can be occasionally heard in the distance
- Its Law is "Endless creation of alter egos not a tiny bit different from one's self" violently purging any foreign bodies inside of it. Clones of the idolon are born who then rampage akin to a swarm of locusts tearing the enemy and each other apart.
- Intoxicated by the feeling of "I will not die no matter what" they'll normally ignore wounds and keep on fighting even as their bodies are crushed and torn apart they keep on fighting as long as their bodies last.
- Kanae does not actually have any direct control over the actions of any individual entity, yet the collective actions of the tengu naturally work to hinder their enemies. Attacking each other only to miss and attack the opponent by sheer chance, the blood of countless corpses transforming the forest into a hellish bog...
- Since it's core function is to eliminate outsiders, the allies of the user are not able to interact with the tengu, simply passing through each other, although they will instinctively cooperate, by sheer "chance" finding themselves in positions to block attacks mean for her allies.

Idolon Description:
"O' hail the great tengu, small tengu, and all that follow the tengu way. Tengu in inconceivable myriads scatter across the realms like shadows All my opponents lifeless, all my wishes fulfilled, all my endeavors harmonious Om, ten thousand demons at my side Om, each demon worth ten thousand men at my side I'm as a brutal beast-- Yet my path of might is the path of righteousness!"
Divine incarnation (Gongen) of Mt Musan, the sacred mountain of Kageoka and home to last few practitioners of Shugendo amidst the new era. The mountain is seen not only as a symbol of life and blessings but as a boundary with the world of the dead where the slightest mistake might lead to disaster, as such its kami could only be a savage tengu.
Said to be a distant and proud god that rains blessings when appeased but spirits away those who disrespect it.... Supposedly it's the source of the voice that Kanae hears, but the idolon itself does not talk, so confirming his personality isn't possible.
