I’ve been a UTMV fan for nearly five years now, it was my first community where I engaged with my friends!

I never learnt about the AUs from Underverse, but when I finally caved in and watched it I was immediately invested. Ink was by far my favorite deuteragonist in the series, and I had grown to love his personality and character.

While he appears playful and expressive in the older episodes, his personality is largely artificial as he relies on colored paint vials to simulate emotions, which I find the concept interesting! This may also be why I also liked his actual story outside of Underverse too, both do so well at representing him!

Some people may not agree with this take, saying that Underverse is distinctive from canon, in which I agree! It is, yet that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily bad. I like it because I believe creativity is a cool take in fandoms, how viewers perceive someone else’s character, and I wish people would lean into that more.
