Martial Path
Name: Yao Lin
Region: Eastern Territory [Silver Forest City]
Origin: Great Clan [Yao Clan]
Backstory
Raised amongst the beauty of the Silver Forest City, Yao Lin is the sixteenth son of the noble Yao Clan. While too far removed to ever inherit the title of Clan Head, Lin's natural insights drew the attention of the clan's highest elders, and earned him a position of privilege that would not normally be afforded to one of his station.
He is known throughout the land for his mastery of the elements, which he has been studying and perfecting since a young age. With his keen talent for the blade and unwavering determination, Yao Lin has become a formidable force to be reckoned within the Four Territories.
Despite his impressive skills, Yao Lin is a humble and kind-hearted individual, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He is fiercely loyal to his clan and will stop at nothing to defend its honour and reputation. Yao Lin is far from a natural born leader but often finds himself taking charge in difficult situations.
[Divine Spirit] Heavenly Conqueror Spirit Foundation
The Heavenly Conqueror presents itself as a towering General, clad in an ornate golden armour, with a vast army of ephemeral soldiers in formation behind him. The Heavenly Conqueror's face is stern, as if carved from unyielding stone, and his hand rests casually upon a mighty sword - ready to answer any challenge that may reveal itself.

Techniques
[Common-Rank Combat] Sword Control Technique
While technically a Combat technique, the Sword Control Technique is more like a basic utility. It allows a Cultivator to control their sword, moving it by will and qi rather than by hand. Most often simply used to retrieve, draw, or otherwise move one's sword, or used to fly atop one's sword.
[Yellow-Rank Utility] Veil-Piercing Heavenly Eyes
An uncommon technique, despite its middling rank, this Utility technique focuses qi into the Cultivator's eyes, expanding their vision, and allowing one to see through illusions. It's not infallible, but when combined with one's own spiritual sense, it wards against illusions from anything but an overpowering foe. It requires some focus to properly maintain, so it can be troublesome to use unfalteringly during combat and had a relatively high qi usage and mental tax for a Yellow-Rank technique.
[Earth-Rank Combat] Burning Inferno Sword
Almost nothing contains as much pure destructive energy as the element of Fire and this sword style harnesses that to its fullest, each slash bearing a faint impression of the destructive nature of Fire insight. Widely considered to hold the number one place in destructive power among the Earth-Rank Combat techniques of the Four Territories.
[Earth-Rank Body Refining] Endless Vitality Meditations
Considered one of the few Body Refining techniques within the Four Territories worth cultivating, this technique is a jealously guarded secret of the Yao Clan of the Silver Forest City. This technique is notable in that it doesn't directly improve the Cultivator's strength or durability, but instead improves the Cultivator's health and healing capabilities. Even just part of its might can allow simple cuts and bruises to heal away in moments, and even crippled or removed limbs are not beyond this miraculous art to heal.
[Earth-Rank Movement] Eight Movements of the Dragon
A Movement technique with seemingly countless variations and profound movements, as if a dragon were striding, swooping, leaping and flying around. While lacking in esoteric value, very few techniques can compare in sheer mobility.
[Heaven-Rank Cultivation] First Heaven Skill
One of the supreme Cultivation techniques in all of the Four Territories and beyond. A Cultivator practicing this technique has dense, thick qi and plenty of it. The speed of this technique's Cultivation is truly monstrous, and it has no alignment to any element. A perfectly balanced Cultivation technique. No other technique can match its sheer breadth and versatility.
[Hidden-Rank Combat] Fivefold Slashes of Elemental Truth
An oddity amongst the hidden arts. At first glance this legendary Combat technique appears to be an unfinished set of parries, thrusts and slashes arranged in a disjointed and discordant manner that would leave one to believe it no better than a Yellow-Rank technique. However, when wielded by the rare individual who possesses a natural Insight into all five of the elements, these strange and uncoordinated patterns transform into a harmonious display with the refinement of Metal, the flexibility of Water, the steadfastness of Earth, the vigour of Wood and the raw destructive power of Fire.

[Heaven-Rank Weapon] Dancing Swords of the Five Elements
A legendary set of five mid-grade Heaven-Rank swords known throughout all of the Four Territories. Each blade is masterfully crafted and imbued with the energies of the five elements. When used by hand, their individual, elemental power could be mistaken for a low-grade Yellow-Rank weapon, but when all five blades are wielded together with the Sword Control Technique, they reveal a terrifying grace and power; each strike bearing the aspect of a greater element and each blow feeding into the strength of the next.
