Catch The Barbarian Part 1

The Hag's Hex

Within the relaxing city of Balsam, the inner rung of the Hag's Hex establishment was even livelier than usual today, for they had just recruited their newest guildmate!

This new addition is a flamboyant and hedonistic young man dressed in quite possibly the singe most ostentatious outfit ever devised that goes by the name Amare Pueramans. However, as much as he would love to be the center of attention, this story is not about him.

Next to Amare are his now fellow guildmates.

To his left is the suave criminal Axel Starr, A Intelligent and composed red haired man in a suit the same color as his hair.

Further to Amare's left is the talented and peppy blonde young woman Luckuv Thadraw, her name clearly the product of the divine muse of creativity. Luckuv is as per usual wearing the ever popular "bunny girl outfit".

To his right is one half of the "muscle" of the guild, a large and muscular tanned woman in a flexible red dress marked by numerous winding eastern dragons by the name of Hilda Verblitz.

Right in front of him was the illustrious Guildmaster Vera Escher, a very voluptuous dark skin woman in a quite clearly purposefully revealing purple dress. She was just as composed if not more so than Axel, though that composure was just about to tested as there was a clear and quite large absence in the right side of the room. That absentee is the...."protagonist" of this story, Marak. Or as Amare likes to call him ever since they met,

"The Big Guy, where is he?"

There was a poignant silence in that room for about a solid 10 seconds.

Until (accompanied by a finger gun towards Amare) Luckuv answered.

"Good question. Axel, where is Marak?"

Luckily, Axel's magic would track his most recent [Investment] wherever he would decide to go. Though Alex clearly did not like the answer as his right eye had a noticeable twitch and sharp exhale from his nose was heard.

Immediately everybody besides Amare adopted a deadpan expression as Vera sighed deeply and calmly started a dialogue with Axel about the situation at hand.

"He's at Bastly's again isn't he."

"Yup."

sighhhhh "He's about to do many incredibly stupid things."

"Indeed."

even deeepeerrr sighhhh "The only reason I keep that fucking moron around is because he is quite possibly the best brawler in all of Fiore."

Amare looked towards Hilda to see if the apparently perpetually angry woman to his right took issue with that statement. The fact that she didn't spoke volumes about the legitimacy of that statement. Axel then finished with a-

"Mood Kindred."

After that Amare interjected, clearly confused and asked,

"It can't be that bad right?"

Vera decided to educate her newbie on the dangers of improper tard wrangling.

"Have you ever been to Driftview?"

"Oh well yes I have indeed! A wonderful place but not enough fun to have for my liking."

"The Hag's Hex used to have a quite successful branch there, before it was busted and completely dismantled by the Moons Watch and an unknown assailant that my sources have identified as Lucius Mcshade. Do you wanna know why that happened?"

Amare gulped in nervousness but asked anyways.

"Why?"

"Because a certain idiot who isn't present at this moment blabbered about our doings there in a drunken stupor, and an anchor-wielding Dragon Slayer with a penchant for vigilantism just so happened to hear him."

Amare went wide eyed.

"oh.....ohhhh"

"Yeah."

After the intimidated Amare stood in silence, Hilda smirked and decided it was time for a cruel prank.

"Raise your hand if you wanna make the newbie play Catch The Barbarian!"

Amare then soon realized that this was indeed a dark guild when everybody including Vera adopted a Cheshire grin and raised their hands ever so slowly as if to relish in the moment of their new compatriot's suffering.

It was now Amares turn to sigh, and he flamboyantly walked out the door with his first important guild assignment for the Hag's Hex: tard wrangling.
