Text decor makes or breaks a rentry, no matter how a good a graphic is, ugly text throws the whole thing off. theres many ways to avoid ugly text decor and im gonna explain them all

  • colorpicking
i rec ibis paint eyedropper for this!
colorpick from your image!! do not make all your text one color, even if your graphic is one color. mix it darks and that color, or different shades of that color! coloring your text tastefully can easily bring a 5/10 rentry to an 8
  • use symbols!!
a rentry chalk full of symbols, a rentry with 3-4 either works! symbols r an easy way to format, fill space & personalize a rentry ^_^ this can mean kaomojis to hearts, symbols r everywhere i rec /bordersymbols + emoji combos. ps — avoid abusing invisible spaces when using symbols.
  • case
when making a rentry try to keep the same casing. you wrote your name lowercase? write the rest of your info lowcase or vice versa.
  • use favicons!
what? colorful small pixel gifs :) they're around the same size as rentry text, so they go tg well! i have a guide om where to find them here
  • underlines
use your underline types!! which you can color code by adding a hex code before the ; / type (!~#hexcode;text-here~!) example: hello is just (!~#880808;wavy;hello~!) .

or use the secret highlight ver (this does not work on pc tho it just looks blocked out ;( + only works w links if inside the brackets [ ]) !~#hexcode40;line-through;8;text-here~!

  • lining

when making rentry dont repeat lines, heres an example,

name ♡ age
mbti ✿ prn

dont have your lines match up like this, rather use dif info / word lengths to ensure this doesnt happen

name ♡ age
(^_^)/ gender

so how the lines are the same length but look better? my rule of thumb is dont have the same thing twice, this applies to favicons or symbol placement and i suggest limiting yourself to one kaomoji for the same reason. symbols can go before after or in between text, be sure to alternate!

  • stuff to add in text ideas

name gender sexuality ethnicity typology age rls status pronouns
