lore (wip) 
she’s walking with her best friend, mayumi, to school one day. she trips and falls over [object] and lands on her hands and knees. her glasses fall off on the floor, the lenses shattering. she looks up from the floor, noticing she’s not where she was. she sees pitch black all around, dirt floor spreading until the darkness cuts off her vision. yet she can see the ground perfectly, like she never needed glasses.
a voice calls to her. the voice tells akeno if she kills, she will be granted power. power to fight against mako, a powerful being that’ll wreak havoc on her world soon. akeno refuses, disbelieving.
the voice tells her about how it has fixed her sight, as proof of its ability to grant her strength. it asks her if she’s really willing to say no, and risk putting her family, friends, and mayumi at risk.
she finally agrees. she blinks and suddenly shes back on the floor outside her school, mayumi rushing to crouch at her side, as if time hadn’t passed, as if she’d only just hit the ground.
she kills and gains strength until she’s far gone, completely desensitised to the things she’s doing. she fully believes she’s doing this for the greater good.
the voice tells her to kill mayumi because mako has manifested in her form. she goes to, yet finds out that mako had been the one talking to her the whole time, the one granting her this power. (idk how she finds that out yet im figuring it out 👅)
the power that mako had been granting akeno had only been a fraction of the total power generated from the sacrifices she had made. mako had been using the power to gain a stronger foothold onto her world, and wreak the havoc it told her about.
akeno attempts to sever the connection that mako had made with her world by finding and destroying [object], but it doesn’t work. akeno realises that she herself is now the one thing connecting mako to her world, and so takes her own life.
