Entertainment in /haha/

Leisure in the Kingdom of Selenium has been strongly influenced by its Selenistic aristocrats and clergy, resulting in a population very much aware of the dangers of the outside world. For an example, it's common for children to recreate famous battles fought and won by the Selenistic Kingdom, one of the most common of them being a decisive battle in the small village of Saafeld.
The elite enjoys more classical sports, such as academic fencing. Indeed, it is common to see young fencers bragging about their smite scars on their cheek to other people. Some austeric rich families consider scarification as a rite of passage into adulthood.
Hunting was considered especially trendy, being enjoyed by virtually all aristocrats. Killing big game would certainly make others respect you.
Board games were played by every social class, be it a poor peasant or a prince. The only difference in games such as Chess, Checkers or even a Nine Man's Morris are the quality of the boards and pieces, with trusted manufacturers being given the prestigious royal warrant.

A common Chess game played between priests. Board games were especially liked by the clergy.

In Different Provinces

Forms of entertainment varies in some regions. In the relatively recluse villagers near Mount Ember, music plays a major role into their culture, as well as singing. Due to their relative isolation and the difficult terrain to traverse, not much is known about them. In recent years, an unusual phenomenona occurred as an ornamented Rebec made its way into Kalmar. Since then, trusted caravans make their way into the snowy mounts of Ember for trade.
Near the border to Rébublique de la Rose, there has been a cultural mix of rosebuds and dragoons. As such, cities like Ludvigsborg are renowned for their floriculture.
