On Kronii's first and sudden appearance, she starts beating up IRyS. She can control the flow of the battle no matter what IRyS throws at her. Time powers is overpowered after all. After an utter curbstomp of a fight, IRyS collapses, all hope of winning lost, which saps all her remaining power. But Kronii doesn't finish her off. Kronii makes a proposal. She won't harm humans for a whole month, but they must fight again in a month at a certain location. This time, the whole Earth will be watching, and it will be the fight that decides the fate of humanity. If IRyS declines, Kronii will just start killing humans. IRyS has no choice but to accept.
IRyS does her best to prepare for a month but she doesn't think it would be enough.
Finally, the big day. IRyS goes to the specified location. Kronii is waiting there. Kronii and IRyS is being broadcast for all of humanity to see. Kronii proclaims that she will crush the protector of earth and all of humanity will despair. IRyS says she won't allow that to happen.
The fight begins. Having learned of Kronii's enormous power during her last defeat, IRyS is careful to dart around to keep her distance and attacks with her crystal lasers. However, Kronii's chains slither like snakes even at range and home in on IRyS. When the chains reach IRyS, she tries to shield herself with an energy barrier but the chains constrict around the shield and shatters it. When the chains bind IRyS, Kronii charges in the blink of an eye and slashes IRyS with her sword. When IRyS tries to dodge, she feels a strange sensation of her body slowing down and Kronii manages to land a blow. IRyS converts her hopes of winning the fight into energy for her powers to simultaneously enhance her healing factor and her agility. After getting some distance from Kronii, IRyS pulls out her bow and fires enhanced hope energy projectiles. But Kronii blocks the projectiles with a time bubble and zips around right next to IRyS and delivers another blow. IRyS keeps trying to outrun Kronii and pummel her with projectiles but it's the same as before. Kronii has answers at both close range and long range with her chains, swords, and time powers. Kronii has total control of the battlefield. Slowly but surely, IRyS' strength is beaten out of her. IRyS collapses, and Kronii approaches her.
Kronii starts talking, "Do you know why I made a proposal to fight you again rather than kill you right then and there a month ago? It's to broadcast your complete and utter defeat to all of humanity. You see, humans are such weak pathetic creatures. They'll see that you have no chance of winning and despair. And when they have no willpower to resist, I will have an easy time molding earth and humanity to my liking. They will become the steppingstones for me to rise above the gods and become the one who rules all! So, thank you for playing into my plans. I wouldn't have been able to do this without you."
IRyS struggles a bit but she manages to stand up, "I won't go down that easily!"
"Oh, but you will."
Kronii's whip sends IRyS flying and back down to the ground. All the air gets knocked out of IRyS when she crash lands. But even as her hands are trembling, she stands up again.
Kronii chuckles, "Heh, yeah get up again so that I can beat you to a pulp. I will ingrain despair into the hearts of everyone watching this."
IRyS gets helplessly beaten up time and again until finally it seems she can't move at all. Kronii makes a show of looking at her fingernails and being bored.
"So, this was earth's mighty protector? Absolutely weak. I'm bored now. Tick Tock, finish her off."
With a hand gesture, Kronii sends her swords flying towards IRyS.
But suddenly, Kronii's swords are deflected by a laser.
"What?!"
There IRyS was, bloodied and bruised but standing. "You're wrong."
Seeing her stand, Kronii shouted, "How?! There shouldn't be any hope left in you!"
IRyS spoke. "You underestimated humanity. You said that they are weak and pathetic b
ut they're not. You thought you could subjugate humanity easily by stripping them of their willpower. Compared to us, maybe it's true that a single human being is weak. But humanity is resilient. They desire hope even in the worst of circumstances. You thought seeing me lose again and again will break their spirits. Instead, they gained more and more hope when I stood up again and again. And that's the hope that powers me."
"Impossible!"
Kronii throws her chains at IRyS but it's blocked by an energy shield. IRyS dashes towards Kronii. Surprised, Kronii recalls her chains and swords but it's too late. IRyS aims at Kronii with her bow and arrow and let's go at point-blank range.
Kronii is defeated.
I like to think that Kronii survives the fight and lives somewhere nearby as an ex-villain and sometimes helps IRyS when they encounter an even bigger baddie. Of course, whenever Kronii helps IRyS, she'd be adamant that they're still enemies and say things like, "Don't misunderstand! I-it's not like I like you or anything, idiot!"
