World Bible IV: The Great Sail
In the sacred halls of Al-Oneredhen, the holy mountain at the heart of Sór, there lived Laeroth, a young elf whose soul burned with a curiosity that matched the flames of Fyara himself. One fateful day, as Laeroth knelt before the altars of the Elemental Spirits, seeking enlightenment in the whispers of the wind and the murmurs of the earth, Eä, the great guardian of creation, deigned to speak.
The air grew thick with anticipation as a soft, resonant voice echoed through the cavernous chamber. "Laeroth, my child of light and shadow, the time has come for your kin to heed the call of the cosmos. Go forth to the cities of Eramar and Ianathyr, and spread my word: the elves of Sór must set sail to the central lands. In those lands of uncharted mysteries, they will find the purpose for which they were born."
Obeying the command of the deity, Laeroth descended the mountain with haste, her heart alight with a newfound resolve. She traversed the forests, her feet barely touching the ground as she raced to share the divine message. Her words were met with astonishment and excitement, for the elves had never been called to such an endeavor.
In every corner of Sór, from the grand spires of Ianathyr to the quiet glens of the western forests, the call to adventure resonated. The elves gathered their belongings, built great ships, and set forth across the vast oceans toward the central lands of promise.
The journey was fraught with peril and awe, as they encountered creatures of myth and legend. The sea itself seemed alive, whispering secrets of the deep to those who dared to listen. The elves grew stronger and wiser with each wave that carried them closer to their destiny.
