Some websites with free GPT 4

Make sure to look in notes before using the services provided here!

Source 1/2

How to use:

  • For source 1:
    • Click on OK on the popup that opens. (It warns you not to use the GPT 4 accounts for generating content that would violate the ToS of OpenAI)
    • Click on the box with a number
    • For example: a box with a number 235 on it
    • That will be above this label: a label with chinese text.
  • For source 2:
    • Click on the blue button a blue button with chinese text that will be right to this label: a label with chinese text.
  • For both sources:
    • If it asks for some password or UserToken, enter a passphrase that will be stored in your browser to distinct your chats from other peoples' chats.
    • If it asks whether you want to login with a personal account or something else, it doesn't matter (afaik) - select one of the options to start using the shared account.
    • At the left top make sure to select ChatGPT 4.
    • If the account you are using does not work, click on the pink button at top right pink half rounded button with chinese text to switch to another account.

Label a label with chinese text meaning

  • The PLUS text on purple background means that the shared account has GPT 4 bought.
  • The text on yellow background means that the account is being used by some people.
  • If the background is red and it has a number in text - that means the account is currently blocked due to rate limits or some other reason.
  • If the background is green, it means the account is not used too much.
    • I haven't seen a free GPT 4 account with a green label that works though, so usually that means that the account is "not responding".
  • If the background is gray, it means that the account is not available.

Some more info

  • The chats sometimes don't save in your sidebar. If the chat is not saved once you send the first message, create a new chat and send the message again. That usually works.
  • The chats have a rate-limiting system, so you need to wait for about 20 seconds after sending a message to send another one/regenerate a message.

Source 3

A little less private

All of the chats are shared and seen by every user that uses the account you are using, unlike in the sources 1 and 2, where your chats are saved with a unique "password".

How to use:

  • Click on the "Log in" button
  • Login with one of the following accounts (user:pass):
    • 66668888:66668888
    • 77777777:77777777
    • 88888888:88888888
    • The accounts that you can use are provided on the left bottom corner of your browser window when you try to login. The password is the same as login.
  • If it asks whether you want to login with a personal account or something else, it doesn't matter (afaik) - select one of the options to start using the shared account.
  • On the popup that appears, click on the checkbox at the right bottom to stop the popup from ever appearing again.
  • At the left top make sure to select ChatGPT 4.
  • If the account does not work, click on the hamburger menu at top right hamburger menu, click the bottom option chinese text, click on 4.0, and select an account from the list.
    • A yellow circle next to the account name means that the account is being used by some people.
    • A red circle means the account is currently blocked due to rate limits or some other reason.
    • A green circle means the account is not used too much (I haven't seen a free GPT 4 account with a green icon that works though)

Notes

There is a catch: you pay with your privacy.

There are multiple people who use these accounts, so your chat with GPT may or may not be visible to them.

The shared accounts can sometimes not work

Due to the fact that many people use them, I concluded from my observations that shared accounts may work more consistently from (somewhere) 19:00 to 4:00 in UTC time. At other times the shared accounts usually can have rate limit errors.
Unfortunately, the sites can be rather slow. But hey, at least it's free.

Why does it ask for a password or something?

Chats are synced across multiple accounts using a unique "password". It makes it so you are able to use multiple accounts and still see only YOUR chats with the AI.
That does not mean though that an account can access a chat that was on another account - it may error.

Make sure to select GPT 4

Also, ask the GPT whether is it able to generate images, view images or search the web and if it says it's unable to do it, you are probably using GPT 3.5, and GPT 4 is currently unavailable.
Though, with the release of GPT-4o, some accounts that are on 3.5 have the GPT-4o free tier, so it may be worth trying some accounts that don't have Plus subscription.

Is this really ChatGPT-4?

The interesting thing about these sites is that you don't need to do some tests to verify if it's official chat with OpenAI chatbots.
You just have to use the share button at the top right the official ChatGPT site has, and it will generate a shareable link of the chat you had with the GPT that will be from the official website of OpenAI. I have done so before GPT-4o released, and it generated a link to the chat I had with GPT where I sent files, and the link was from the official OpenAI website, meaning - GPT-4 is legit there.
