Fly - Arctibax

Age: Unknown (She doesn't keep track but she is physically mature)
Situation: Native Born Pokemon
Appearance: She is totally indistinguishable from others of her species, though her species is quite rare on the Desert Continent. She tends to keep a small bag strapped to the base of her tail for money and items. She also keeps an old scuffed up sooth bell tied to her tail.

Fly was born high up on a mountain. Her mother and father raised her to be tough and a fighter first and foremost. The mountain was a dangerous place and there were many other dragons that wanted to horn in on their nest spot. Luckily, Fly's parents are an incredibly skilled fighters. For some reason, Fly's mom wasn’t able to speak the way she and her father could. Though somehow, she was able to understand her mother's gibberish. Some of the things her father liked to talk about may as well have been gibberish too, they were so outlandish and strange.

The 1st time Fly evolved, her parents were so proud of her. Her father began to train her in earnest after that. He had a weird habit of standing behind her when she fought and would try to micromanage her instead of just letting her go wild. For some reason, Fly's father was extremely picky about who and how Fly fought almost to an annoying extent. He would tell her why, but she just could never wrap her head around it. She didn't understand EVs or move synergy no matter how many times her dad explained them to her. She was forced to eat some pretty yucky berries on more than one occasion when she went off to fight on her own. Fly loves fighting, but her lust for battle inadvertently caused a tragedy.

Fly had snuck off and fought a family of Axew. After clobering them, their parents came out and attacked her. Her father had been out hunting at the time and only her mom was home to hear the commotion. Baxcaliber are strong pokemon, but she couldn't defeat two rampaging Haxorous especially without Fly's dad to command her. They defeated her, but they didn’t stop and when Fly's dad came back, neither did he. . . Haxorous are all but extinct in that particular region of the sand Continent.

The death of her mother effected Fly every bit as much as her father. Her dad was all that she had left and she grew extremely clingy with him. She never wanted to leave his side and for the most part, she didn't. Because of that, she doesn't have any friends and has never had a sexual partner. She's also become extremely violent. Before her mom's death, she would fight "fairly", letting her opponent get up if they got knocked down or back off the moment they surrendered. Now, if someone gets knocked down, she will go for their throat and she won't accept anything less than total submission or death from her foes. She would even go as far as humiliating or even maiming enemies that piss her off, even after surrendering, just like daddy taught her. . .

Fly and her father got separated in a Blizzard that swept through the mountain. Her father couldn't handle the cold and ice and had to take shelter underground, but she couldn't hear him call to her in the storm and continued on, thinking he was following her. Without her dad to guide her, she quickly became lost and eventually wound up in the desert. . .

Fly has always had difficulty controlling her emotions both positive and negative, because of that, she is very vulnerable to emotional manipulation. She is emotionally stunted and tends to have a child-like personality, but deep down she is scarred and guilt weighs heavy on her heart because she thinks she is responsible for her mom's death. She knows how to survive and how to fight. She will not hesitate to throw down at the slightest provocation. She learned the hard way that it is kill or be killed. Fly respects Strength, Honesty, Confidence, and Bravery and once you've earned her trust, she is loyal, literally to her dying breath, but if you betray that trust, God help you because nobody holds a grudge like Fly.

(Fly's Ice Mask and armor can be broken or even pulled off and I imagine her face to be like a Charmander's. My headcannon is that the Baxcaliber line as distantly related to the Charizard Line so Arctibax faces look like Charmander faces, only blue-grey instead of orange.)

Relations to Other Characters:
Luke: Fly's father and all she has left. She is a major daddy's girl and will do anything he asks of her.
