fior x-men infodump blelelele
OO1... while not every X-Men movie is comic-accurate, the movies have been my favorites since i was a kid. i've been rewatching them as of recently because i have bad memory & i want to put my thoughts here!
not in chronological order/no specific order in general, im just listing. not every movie i watched, just my favorites
X-Men: First Class
there's not much to say about it. it was amazing & emotional, even if they portrayed Charles as a “good person”, something that isn't quite accurate to ( literally any ) other X-Men media. but i love James McAvoy as Charles & i think that no matter how inaccurate it might be to the comics, it's a separate universe from them — i like the charm he has in FC. something that makes me a little sad is the inaccurate characters portrayed — don't get me wrong, i love mcu first class (hank, raven, darwin, angel, alex, cherik), but i feel like the og first class is much cuter (hank, jean, scott, bobby & warren).
Days Of Future Past
knowing that in at least one universe they have a happy ending makes me incredibly emotional. Charles in dofp was such a good representation of depression in my opinion, & i'm also biased since dofp is one of my favorite looks on Hugh's Logan (). i like how little Logan was focused on Jean, up until the end. i choose to ignore every single jean/logan hint in the movies & focus on how Scott is alive & still with Jean.
Origins ♡
my absolute fave. even if Logan's lore is significantly different than the og one the fact that they made him & Victor half-brothers adds so much to it, and i absolutely love it. i never liked Victor — his writing is good, i admit that, but of course he's not a good character. the sfx was god awful & it shows, but the story told & the focus on Logan makes me genuinely happy. i also loved John Wraith, i wish he had more screen time in other movies or that he'd at least get one more cameo.
X-Men (2000)
i absolutely despise jean/logan as i mentioned before, but being the first movie of the saga i cannot bring myself to hate it completely. it was the first movie i ever cried over because i actually understood it. jean fighting for mutant rights is stuck in my head, as dirty as they did her, i still love her so much.
TLDR: overall, the X-Men saga is something i heavily recommend if you're part of a marginalized group, or you simply like sci-fi. there's so much that the movies didn't cover, but that's because they always have to romanticize things to gain people’s attention properly. i especially reccomend first class if you're in for the marginalized group representation, as it mostly covers that — different approaches from the oppressed (Charles & Erik), the government & humans that are willing to help mutants.

the top 5 strongest omega-level mutants in the comics!
- n°5: magneto, master of magnetism
- n°4: legion, creates new mutant abilities
- n°3: vulcan, with his massive energy manipulation
- n°2: mister M, manipulates atoms — this makes him able to create new lifeforms
- n°1: jamie braddock, manipulator of quantum strings, so he can manipulate reality. he would be able to create entire universes.
