The Pirate's Guide to Free Streaming w/ Fire TV Stick

This guide is for Firestick devices, but can be setup on any device running Android TV.

Debrid Subscription

Using a debrid provider is not required, but highly recommended.
If you proceed without one, your experience may suffer and your IP address will be exposed!

A debrid service is a premium subscription that allows you to directly download or stream torrents, kinda like a seedbox. The key difference is that when you torrent to a debrid, the files are cached. This means that if anyone else has downloaded the torrent before, you can instantly stream the files rather than waiting for the download.

The most popular choice is RealDebrid - They've been around since 2009, and due to their size they have the most content readily-available.
Personally, I use Debrid-Link - It's cheaper, they seed torrents, you can select the CDN, and they have other features I like that aren't pertinent to this guide.

Stremio

Create a Stremio account and install the Stremio app on a PC, Mac, or phone. This device will be used for installing the add-on we need. You can remove the app when you're finished, but remember your Stremio login as it will be needed to sync your add-ons to the Fire Stick.

Use this page to connect a trakt.tv account to Stremio. You do not need the paid version of trakt, but linking your account is required if you want stremio to remember your watch history / series progression

Torrentio

you have to uninstall the plugin to modify the configuration, or it will install multiple copies

Torrentio is the addon we will be using to search for torrents and communicate with your debrid provider. Use the link above to configure the addon to your personal preferences. If your Firestick or TV does not support an option, disable it. You don't want the first result of every episode to crash the app.

Fire TV Stick

Install the "Downloader" app onto your Fire Stick. This icon ->

Enable Developer Options & Allow "Downloader" to install third party apps.

enable debugging
