GIRLS FRONTLINE 2 BEGINNER'S GUIDE
This whole guide is a WIP right now so don't judge early on
After I finish all these WIP's I'll update the main www.rentry.org/exiliumguide page to have all this updated information, and then I'll delete this rentry. Should be done the day the Reissi event hits or the day after, afterwards I should update this guide every 1-3 months
List of shit I'm currently working on:
-Tier list completion, I have to add an image to every doll plus I haven't finished writing descriptions for some of them
-Fix some parts in the lategame attachment section
-Will remove the mystery box gacha section, I hate to say this but due to lack of irl time to research I don't have enough knowledge on it yet to comment on what's the optimal way to approach converting material into coins. Maybe I'll re-add it in a while though, once I have free time
-Update the home screen picture in the Guide to Gameplay loop section so that it's not the CN version of the game
-Think whether I should re-add the "list of other guides". Unfortunately though, there's not alot of resources out there for this game, outside CN stuff
-Keep double checking again if any info is wrong or if I don't like how info is being presented by rereading this whole thing over and over. I should be finished sooner than later though.
Installing
The app is available on the android Play Store, the iphone App Store, on PC with Steam and also on PC on the official website
The official website is https://gf2exilium.sunborngame.com/
If you're going to play on PC and the official website tells you that the game isn't available to download from your region, just click the link below instead
https://gf2-us-cdn-launcher.sunborngame.com/prod/download/launcher/1.0.0/GF2_Launcher_pc1_1_0_0_OverSeas_Mica_1732302259_6_1000005.exe
This exe file will give you access to the Darkwinter version of the game. There are two versions of Girls Frontline 2, the Darkwinter version and the Haoplay version. Most people play on the Darkwinter version, but if you want to play on the Haoplay version of the game for some reason, you can get the Haoplay version from the link below

Terminology for beginners
-T-Doll: The characters you use in this game. They're female looking robots with superhuman strength. T-dolls stands for "Tactical Dolls", but most players just call them "Dolls" to shorten it.
-Weapons: Equipment a T-doll uses, they're either Assault rifles (AR), Sniper rifles (RF), Handguns (HG), Machine guns (MG), Submachine guns (SMG) or Swords(BLD).
-Confectance Index: A meter that a T-doll has in battle that is consumed to activate special skills. Just think of it as a mana or magic meter from other video games. The minimum the meter can be at is 0 and the maximum is 6. Every T-doll has a different way of gaining and losing meter, it all depends on their kit.
-Collapse Pieces: Gems. 150 gems=1 roll on any banner
-Orange ticket: 1 roll on either a rate-up limited banner or on a rate-up permanent unit banner
-Black ticket: 1 roll on the permanent gacha
-Segment: Dupe copies of T-dolls. Nobody uses the term "Segment", though. The fan translation of Segment before the game released is called "Vertebrae", and that kinda stuck around. So whenever someone online says "yeah i have this doll at v1", they mean vertebrae 1, or if they say "yeah i have this doll at v0" they mean vertebrae 0 . This guide will not use the term "Segment" or "Vertebrae" or "v", rather I will use the term "dupe" to refer to duplicate copies of T-dolls. This avoids confusion
Quick FAQ
-Should I reroll?
Hmm, if you want to. Right now, for the month of March 2025, the only limited dolls available on rate-up are Centaureissi and Ullrid. They aren't really a priority to obtain. I don't think rerolling for them is necessary at all. That said, if you have the willpower to reroll, trying to reroll for Centaureissi and making new accounts until you get her in 20 pulls or less is a good idea to have more limited rolls for future T-dolls and for past T-dolls that will rerun next month, though I will warn you that rerolling and making new accounts until you get lucky might drain the initial fun for most people.
-What's the difference between the two servers, the Darkwinter servers and the Haoplay servers?
-Because different countries have different regulations regarding payments, there will be two different servers for the english release of the game. For some unknown reason, there is a two day gap between the servers. The Darkwinter server opened on December 3rd and the Haoplay server opened on December 5th, so the Darkwinter server will get content 2 days in advance. Also, people from the Darkwinter servers can't interact with people from the Haoplay servers and vice versa. This means no friend requests, pvp, using support T-dolls, nor sharing platoons with people from different servers. I find that most people play on Darkwinter, so I recommend that you play on the Darkwinter server, but if your friends play on the Haoplay servers for some reason, and you want to add them to your friendlist, you can choose to play on that server instead.
-Is this character good? Should I roll her weapon?
Check the beginner's tier list near the bottom, also high rarity weapons as f2p players usually are never considered to be worth rolling but that varies depending on whether you're more of a "I wanna collect all T-dolls" guy or a "I skip alot of T-dolls and focus on getting the meta T-dolls only" guy. Either way, while I don't recommend rolling for weapons, just keep in mind that weapons rerun often in this game. You won't spend more than 6 months without a doll or their weapon rerunning. If you ever change your mind and want a weapon, you can just wait for its rate-up to rerun.
-What attachment set for X character?
Read the Guide to weapons and attachments on here, but the TL;DR is that when you're a new player, every T-doll in the game wants the Phase Strike attachment set except for Ksenia and Colphne, those two want the Emergency Repair attachment set, and for lategame, you can probably figure out yourself which attachment is better but there's a guide to attachments for players in the endgame if you're confused
If you have two or more of the same attachment that can go in the same slot in a weapon, prioritize equipping the one that gives ATK buffs
Guide to the Daily Gameplay Loop
This section is for all the things you need to remind yourself to do on the game. Everything here has either roll currency or cores as a reward
Daily
- Claim the daily free box (Obtained in Main Menu→Shop→Quality Selection→Standard Package)
- Set your 5 T-dolls on the T-doll dispatch system (Main Menu→Public Area→Dispatch Room) and claim your daily free currency of choice, unlocked at around level 15.
- Complete all your daily missions until you hit 80 points, then hit Claim All (Main Menu→Commissions). Do any missions you want except the "Exchange Collapse Pieces for Intelligence Puzzles" mission.
- Complete the 4 battle pass missions (if available) and claim your battle pass rewards
- Do your daily platoon battles and claim your free materials from the Resupply section(Main Menu→Platoon)(Unlocked at level 20). The platoon battles include the daily "Essential Supplies" battle and the two "Gunsmoke Frontline" battles (if Gunsmoke is currently active).
- Do 3 runs of pvp daily (unlocks once you reach level 30), once you're max rank (around 2 months into the game) you only need to do 1 run daily
- After that, spend all your remaining stamina on any stage you want. During the first few weeks and months of playing, T-doll exp, weapon exp, tier 5 (gold colored) and tier 6 (also gold colored) conductor stages, and sometimes attachment stages are my go-to resource stages to use up all my stamina for the day. Around the time you hit lategame (once you have all your preferred dolls max level around 3+ months into the game), the weapon attachment stages are usually my go-to resource stage to use up my stamina
This game has a sweep feature for farming stages so doing these daily tasks should take 5 minutes maximum out of your day if you press buttons fast enough. If Gunsmoke is active, it should take around 10-20 minutes instead. Also, whenever there's a 2x reward event for all farming stages, the attachment stage is the best to do because it costs the most stamina to enter (30 stamina). Gold stage and the Stock Boost Bar stage are both the second best option (20 stamina)
WEEKLY
-do the weekly boss fight stage 3 times every week (unlocks once you reach level 27). If you can't get a higher score by the end of the week just hit the sweep button
-in the weekly boss fight shop (unlocks once you reach level 27), buy the 1 core and other weekly resources
-in the dispatch shop, buy the 1 black ticket and other resources of your choice every week
-in the platoon shop, buy all the Papasha Neural Archives and whatever other resources you want
-Get as far as possible in the Peak Estimation game mode every week (unlocks once you reach level 30)
EVERY 2 WEEKS
-beat the 10 "Expansion Drills" stages every 2 weeks (unlocks once you reach level 20)
Monthly
-complete whatever current event is running, main events usually last 3 weeks, login events last around 2-4 weeks
-buy the 5 orange and 5 black tickets from the shop every month (Obtained in Main Menu→Shop→Trading Post→Growth Stack).
-in the weekly boss fight shop (unlocks at lvl 27), buy the 5 black tickets and all the Sabrina fragments every month
-Do the "Military Simulation" PVP every month (unlocks once you reach a certain ranking in the daily pvp). You only need to participate in this 20 times total every month, which can be done in like 2-3 days. Whether you win or lose the battles in the military simulation pvp, it doesn't matter for gem rewards. It's participation that gives you gems.
Picture: The home screen. The weekly "boss fight" mode, the normal pvp mode, the "military simulation" pvp mode, the biweekly "expansion drills" mode, and the weekly "peak estimation" mode are in Resource stages and PVP
GACHA GUIDE
The basic stuff you need to know before rolling in the gacha
- There are only 3 rolling currencies in this game: Gems, orange tickets and black tickets
- Use every gem and orange ticket that you obtain on limited banners
- Save black tickets and use them on the permanent gacha every time you have enough for a 10 roll
- Never consider using gems or orange tickets on those banners with a permanent T-doll (Tololo, Qiongjiu, Sabrina, Mosin, Vepley or Peritya) or one of their permanent weapons on rateup. They are a scam and are never to be rolled on, and are only there for whales who want to waste roll currency. You as a f2p will obtain all of these permanent T-dolls just from rolling on limited banners and from the permanent gacha as time passes, and will eventually dupe6 them all if you play for long enough
- Once you hit 60 rolls on any T-doll gacha without obtaining a high rarity (once it says "20 Access(es) will guarantee obtaining an Elite item" on the bottom left), it's better to start doing single rolls instead of 10 rolls. This is because 1 purple rarity T-doll/weapon is guaranteed every 10 pulls, but chances are you'll obtain a high rarity when your pity score is between 60 and 70.
More detailed info on currencies and banners:
-THE TYPES OF ROLL CURRENCIES:
There are only three roll currencies you have to keep track of: Gems, orange tickets and black tickers
-Gems and orange tickets: These two currencies are the same currency, it's just that 150 gems=1 orange ticket. It's recommended to only use these two currencies on limited banners and on nothing else
-Black tickets: this currency can only be used to roll on the permanent gacha. Even though 150 gems=1 black ticket, you should never use gems to obtain black tickets. The permanent gacha should only be rolled with by using black tickets you can obtain without having to spend gems
-There is one more currency in this game called Blue Coins. They can be converted into roll currency, but they're mostly used to obtain paid T-doll costumes. This currency can only be obtained through real life money unfortunately. There was one time the devs gave us 600 as part of a new year's celebration, but that's all f2p's have obtained.
-INFO ON RATE-UP BANNERS
There are only four types of gacha: the beginner's gacha, the permanent gacha, limited rate-up gacha and permanent rate-up gacha
- Beginner's gacha: This is the first banner you'll roll in as part of your beginner rolls. It's available until you roll 50 times. You only need 8 black tickets to do a 10 roll on this gacha. The high rarity T-dolls on rate-up are Tololo, Qiongjiu, Sabrina, Peritya and Mosin Nagant, and you're guaranteed to obtain one at exactly 50 rolls
- Permanent gacha: This gacha is available forever and never goes away. This banner has 6 high rarity T-dolls (Tololo, Qiongjiu, Sabrina, Vepley, Peritya and Mosin Nagant) and 6 high rarity weapons (the signature weapons of the 6 T-dolls mentioned before) on rate-up at the same time, each having an equal chance of being the high rarity you get. This gacha has a feature where you can select which T-doll or weapon you want the most out of the gacha and increase its droprate to 50%. This gacha has another feature that is exclusive for beginners, where once you've rolled in the permanent gacha 260 times, you can select any of the 6 T-dolls from the permanent gacha and obtain it for free. It should take about 2 months of playing to get to 260 rolls from the moment you first started assuming you played diligently. You can only roll in this banner with Black tickets and Gems, though it is recommended never to use gems on this, only black tickets.
Advice: You should roll on the permanent gacha whenever you have enough black tickets for a 10 roll. Never use gems to roll on this gacha, nor convert gems into black tickets. Gems are best spent on limited gacha
(Note: One high rarity Doll called Faye and her high rarity signature HG weapon will eventually be added to the permanent gacha, though that will be (estimate) like a year from now) - Limited rate-up gacha: These banners are available when there's an event going on. Usually, there's a new limited unit introduced every 30 or so days and the rate-up lasts 3 weeks. When available, there will be two banners, one with a limited T-doll on rate-up and another banner with the signature weapon of the current limited rate-up T-doll. For both the T-doll and weapon banners, the rate-ups will be a 50% chance to obtain the rate-up limited unit and a 50% chance to obtain one of the 6 permanent units from the permanent gacha. You can only roll on this banner with orange tickets and gems.
Advice: It's recommended that you save all your gems and orange tickets for these, as limited banners are very important to keep up with the meta. - Permanent rate-up gacha: These banners are almost always available. When available, there will be two banners, one with a permanent T-doll on rate-up (either Tololo, Qiongjiu, Sabrina, Vepley, Peritya or Mosin Nagant) and another banner with the signature weapon of the current permanent rate-up T-doll. For both the T-doll and weapon banners, the rate-ups will be a 50% chance to obtain the rate-up permanent unit and a 50% chance to obtain one of the 5 other permanent units from the permanent gacha. You can only roll on this banner with orange tickets and gems.
Advice: It is recommended to never ever consider rolling on these permanent unit rate-up banners. These banners only have one of the 6 permanent gacha T-dolls or weapons as the rate-up characters, and those are easily obtained through the permanent gacha without having to use roll currency that's better used on limited banners. These rate-up units are also obtainable from getting offbannered in a limited rate-up, which has a 50% chance of happening every single limited banner. Skip out on these types of banners and just use your orange tickets and gems on limited banners instead
Gift / Affection Guide
In this game, you don't raise the affection level of your characters by using them in battle. Rather, you raise their affection purely by handing them gifts.
To level up the affection of a T-doll, you need to go to the Dormitory, select your T-doll, click the "Gift" button.
As you can see here, there's gifts with little smiley icons on them. If you give a gift with no smiley on it to a T-doll, the T-doll will obtain a normal amount of EXP. Gifts with Smiley icons on them give an added bonus affection EXP. Gifts with Pink Smiley's give 1.75x the affection, gifts with Green Smiley's give 1.5x the affection and gifts with Yellow Smiley's give 1.25x the affection. The Smiley color or if the gift even has a smiley at all changes depending on the T-doll. For example, on one T-doll a Smiley might be a pink smiley, but for another T-doll, that smiley might just be a green or yellow smiley, or there might even not be a smiley at all. This is called gift preference. T-dolls gain extra affection from certain gifts because the gifts really fit their personalities
It is recommended to only use gifts with Smileys on T-dolls that have the 1.75x preference. So you should only use gifts with Smiley's that have the pink color. Don't use gifts on a T-doll if that gift has a green or yellow smiley, instead, switch the T-doll you're giving the gift to until you find one that accepts that gift as a pink smiley gift.
There's also gifts that don't have Smiley's on them no matter the T-doll, they have a 64, 32 and 16 on the artwork of the gift. You can use these gifts on any T-doll you want
There are many ways of obtaining gifts
-From the Dispatch Shop (Main Menu→Public Area→Dispatch Room→Dispatch Shop)
-From event shops (Go to whatever current event that's happening and there should be a shop button)
-From smaller events (like login events)
-From the Boss Fight Shop (Main Menu→Campaign→Combat Simulation→Boss Fight→Battlelog Trading)
-From dev mails during special occasions
-From just doing resource or story stages that consume stamina (random chance of dropping)
The best way of obtaining gifts is from the Dispatch Shop
WIP: Insert pic of the dispatch shop, will insert this pic once the shop resets on Monday
Prioritize buying the black ticket first. But the second big priority with this shop is buying all the gifts.
There are 5 different kinds of gifts, and each will give a 1.75x Pink Smiley bonus to certain T-dolls
Purple Sentiment Gift Box 1 gifts give 1.75x bonus to: Tololo, Peritya, Cheeta, Ksenia and Klukai
Purple Sentiment Gift Box 2 gifts give 1.75x bonus to: Sabrina, Papasha, Daiyan, Dushevnaya, Nemesis, Littara
Purple Sentiment Gift Box 3 gifts give 1.75x bonus to: Suomi, Centaureissi, Groza, Colphne, Lotta
Purple Sentiment Gift Box 4 gifts give 1.75x bonus to: Mosin Nagant, Vepley, Sharkry, Nagant
Purple Sentiment Gift Box 5 gifts give 1.75x bonus to: Qiongjiu, Ullrid, Makiatto, Krolik
How should I go about leveling the affection of my T-dolls? Should I focus only on the ones I use or is it worth to raise the affection of all of them equally?
When you're a new player, you should focus on raising the affection of dolls equally. Try to get all dolls you own to level 2 affection, then all dolls to level 3 affection, and so on. Don't leave any doll behind in affection level. Once your dispatch level becomes level 15 however, extra dispatch rewards stop, so it might be better to focus on leveling the affection of your most used dolls rather than leveling them all equally
Guide to selecting weapons and attachments for your T-dolls (For Newbies)
-EARLY TO MID GAME WEAPON AND ATTACHMENT GUIDE:
Attachment usage from early game (around lvl 23) up to max level is really easy. There is a big variety in attachments, but you only need to farm 2 kinds of attachments, the Phase strike attachments and the emergency repair attachments. Every single T-doll in the game uses Phase strike, besides Colphne and Ksenia, those two use Emergency Repair
When farming the attachment stages, you can choose what type of weapon attachments will drop before you start the run. Whenever you enter one of the attachment farming stages for AR+SG, SMG+MG, or RF+BLD, make sure to always select the Phase strike attachment that make you deal 15% more damage to enemies who have been "phase debuffed" for all your damage dealing T-dolls, and whenever you farm the attachment stages for HG, select the Emergency Repair attachment that makes medics give +2 stability whenever they heal. For the early game up to near max level, you can ignore farming any other kind of attachment in the game that's not the Phase Strike attachment or the Emergency Repair attachments.
Note about the Phase strike attachments: the Phase debuff attachments lets T-dolls deal +15% extra damage to enemies with "Phase debuffs". There are alot of T-dolls with skills or talents that can inflict these types of debuffs, including:
-T-dolls that can inflict burn-type debuffs (Centaureissi with her attacks, Ksenia dupe1 with skill 1, Sharkry with skill 1, Qiongjiu with skill 2, Krolik with skill 2 or talent, Cheeta with skill 2)
-T-dolls that can inflict water-type debuffs (Tololo skill 1+key 2)
-T-dolls that can inflict electric-type debuffs (Mosin Nagant with all her skills)
-T-dolls that can inflict ice-type debuffs (Suomi with her talent and with her ultimate skill, Lotta with her talent or with key 3 equipped, Makiatto with skill 2+key 3, Dushevnaya with her ultimate skill)
-T-dolls that can inflict corrosion-type debuffs (Nagant with skill 1 or 2)

Mental Integration Shop Guide
This shop can be accessed through Main Menu→Shop→Trading Post→Neural Integration
Everytime you roll in the gacha, you get currency that can be used in this shop
When you're finally able to buy your first gold rarity gun from the shop using 900 currency:
-If you own Tololo, you should buy Tololo's signature weapon (Planeta) as your first gold rarity weapon. Tololo's weapon is the best weapon available for Tololo and Sharkry, and it's pretty good on Daiyan
-If you don't own Tololo but own Qiongjiu, you should buy Qiongjiu's signature weapon (Golden Melody) instead. Qiongjiu's weapon is the best weapon available for Qiongjiu, and it's pretty good on Jiangyu and Sharkry
-You CAN buy the other gold weapons, but in terms of CN meta, both Tololo's and Qiongjiu's weapon are the weapons that age the best out of the shop gold weapons (Qiongjiu's weapon for Qiongjiu, Tololo's weapon for Sharkry, Daiyan and Klukai)
-You can also simply choose not to buy a gold weapon at all and try to make-do with the purple rarity weapons. A weapon costs about 30 rolls worth of roll currency that could've gone into a limited banner, after all, and you'll eventually obtain all the gold rarity weapons from the permanent gacha.
After getting your first weapon, or if you decided to not buy a weapon at all, you're done buying weapons in the weapons shop. It's best to spend the rest of the shop currency you obtain on orange tickets and cores, and instead of buying the other weapons, it's best to try to obtain the other shop weapons from the permanent gacha
The permanent gacha has a feature where you can get the weapon you want on 50% rate-up, so you'll eventually obtain the other gold rarity permanent weapons in the long term
Pictured above: the weapons shop. The feature where you can buy rolls and cores with this currency won't be available in global for a long while, but it'll eventually be available. Also, Lotta eventually gets added to this shop for people who missed the Ullrid/Suomi event
Guide to T-Doll Skill Upgrades (Newbie)
-Ever played a gacha game, and there's this resource that you're always low on for some reason, that can't be infinitely farmed and is only available from events and maybe logins? In this game, that resource is called "core". They're used to obtain "fixed keys" which is just this game's name for skill upgrades that can be equipped/unequipped before battle. High rarity T-dolls require you to use 3 cores per fixed key, and they have a total of 6 fixed keys to unlock, so high rarity T-dolls require 18 cores to be maxed out on all skills. Low rarity T-dolls require you to use 1 core for the first four fixed keys but 2 cores for keys 5 and 6, and they have a total of 6 fixed keys to unlock, so low rarity T-dolls require 8 cores to be maxed out on all skills. Also, for all T-dolls in the game, once you max out all 6 of their skills you unlock a "common key" which can be equipped to any T-doll and usually has a special effect.
Cores are obtainable from the following:
-Main events (6 cores every month)
-Side events (usually anywhere from 3-6 cores every month)
-Weekly boss fight shop (1 core every week, so 4 every month)
-Battle pass (3 every month)
-Military simulation PVP (1 every month)
-Sunborn website login (1 every month) (CN ONLY FEATURE)
-Mental Integration Shop (3 every month) (CN ONLY FEATURE)
-Expansion Drill mode risk 18 (2 every 2 weeks) (CN ONLY FEATURE)
-Daily free gift pack (Once every 41 days guaranteed, less days than that with good RNG)
-First time rewards from clearing the weekly bosses
-First time clear rewards from the conductor farming stages (60 cores in total)
-First time clear of the Platoon Shop (6 cores)
-You can also obtain more cores with real life money.
-From mails if there's a special anniversary celebration
Pictured above: Cores. A very important resource that you can misuse very easily and very early in the game. Plan your core usage in the long term!
Anyways, this game doesn't really give you alot of cores monthly, so you will have to get used to being always permanently low on this resource. It's stupidly easy to enter core hell because the game doesn't give you enough cores to keep up with the amount of T-dolls they release monthly. You have to be careful on where you spend your cores because you run out of cores so fucking fast in this game. Every single core that you misuse on a (metawise) bad T-doll or on a wrong skill is a permanent mistake you can't take back that will slow down your ability to beat stronger stages. This following section is my list of recommendations of which keys you should prioritize obtaining using cores, so that you have an easier time with the game and don't regret misusing cores for the long term:
My recommendation on which T-doll's keys to use cores on:
-Suomi(Suomi)=Key 1 (Gain +2 stability gauge if skill 1 reduces enemy stability to 0), key 2 (+3 confectance index), Key 5 (gain 1 confectance index if target ally is below 80% HP), Key 6 (restore 1 stability and 10% hp) requires 12 cores total
-Ullrid=Key 1 (Gain extra action after using skill 2 at the cost of 2 confectance index), key 2 (attacks ignore 30% DEF), key 3 (+3 confectance index), requires 9 cores total
-Makiatto(WA-2000)=Obtain all 6 of her keys, requires 18 cores total. Prioritize obtaining key 2 (+3 confectance index) first, then key 5 (highest hp enemy gets "cold blooded instinct" debuff), then key 6 (ATK +10%), and then the other keys when you're done with other dolls.
-Daiyan(Type-95)=Obtain all 6 of her keys, requires 18 cores total. Prioritize obtaining key 4 (gain 1 calibration) first, then key 2 (+3 confectance index), and then the other keys when you're done with other dolls
-Dushevnaya(KSVK): If you don't own Makiatto, then none of her keys are really worth leveling, and I'm not sure why you would roll for this doll as a newbie. However, if you somehow own both Dushevnaya and a Makiatto as a newbie, get key 1 (raise crit chance of skill 1), key 2 (increase damage done by skill 1) and key 3 (gain stacks of Ice's grace when activating s2 on ice tiles).
-Centaureissi(G36)=Obtain key 4 (skill 2 heals by 75% more). Requires 3 cores total
-Tololo(Ak-Alfa)=Obtain all 6 of her keys, requires 18 cores total. Prioritize obtaining key 3 (ATK+damage increase) first, then key 4 (skill 2 stuns when paired with a prior support attack), and then key 2 (Inflict Congestion after using skill 1), and then the other keys when you're done with other dolls
-Qiongjiu(QBZ-191)=Obtain all 6 of her keys, requires 18 cores total. Prioritize obtaining key 3 (Defense down II) first, then key 1 (+3 confectance index), and then the other keys when you're done with other dolls
-Sabrina(SPAS-12)=Obtain key 2 (+3 confectance index) and key 4 (+2 stability gain per confectance index gained). Requires 6 keys total
-Vepley=Key 1 (+2 stability damage dealt) and key 3 (-60% damage received), requires 6 cores total
-Peritya=none, not worth using as a newbie.
-Mosin Nagant(Mosin Nagant)=Obtain key 2 (skill 1 applies paralysis if used after skill 2), requires 3 cores total
-Groza(OTs-14)=none, works fine enough without keys
-Colphne=none, works fine enough without keys. If you don't manage to get Centaureissi or Suomi though, her key 3 (skill 2 now AOE heals) is worth obtaining to cope with not owning a good high rarity healer
-Krolik=none, not worth using
-Nemesis= Obtain key 1 (Defense down II), requires 1 core total
-Cheeta(MP7)=none, not fine enough without keys
-Littara(WKp)=none, not worth using
-Nagant(M1895)=none, not worth using as a newbie
-Sharkry=Obtain all 6 of her keys, requires 18 cores total. Prioritize obtaining key 1 (+3 confectance index) and key 2 (deal damage when an enemy gets Overburn) first, and then the other keys when you're done with other dolls
-Ksenia(Stechkin)=Obtain key 4 (receive skill 2's buffs), requires 1 cores total
-Lotta=none, not worth using (she's not even obtainable anymore wtf)
devs.. please... just some more cores...
TIER LIST FOR NEWBIES
TIER LIST EXPLANATION AND EVALUATION OF ALL T-DOLLS
Notes:
-Teambuilding: Every team comprises of 1 healer T-doll (Either Centaureissi, Ksenia, Colphne, Cheeta, or Suomi) and any 3 other T-dolls.
-Around 3-4 weeks into playing this game, you'll unlock Boss Fight tier 6 which requires you to have two teams, so it's important to have two fully raised teams of 4 dolls. Since you'll need two teams, you're going to have to raise two medics
-The mindset when ranking these dolls is: How good are they to have raised if you want to beat the harsh content in this game as a beginner player. Specifically, when ranking these dolls, I'm thinking how helpful it would be to have these dolls are when trying to beat the boss fight, expansion drill, peak estimation, and challenge mode stages for events for the first time when underleveled. Story mode stages are not taken into account, as those stages are quite honestly too easy since they unlock based on your level and can be beaten with a variety of strategies the moment they're unlocked.
-This is quite obvious but if you're an oldfag, ignore this tier list, this is made for newbies
Tier 1: The Dolls I feel you must own and raise during your playthrough
-Centaureissi: A high rarity limited doll. Available to be rolled from late February to mid march, and will likely rerun 3-4 months afterwards. Her kit centers around AOE healing all allies and removing any debuff the enemy might place on them
Pros:
-Best medic currently available, outmatches Ksenia, Colphne and Cheeta in survivability for allies
-Will be the best doll to roll for currently because with her you can beat the harsh Boss fight, Peak estimation and Expansion drill stages much earlier level than thanks to the survivability she provides, there's not really any better alternatives than her (besides Suomi)
-Can provide good AOE healing through either her ultimate skill or skill 2
-Ultimate skill heals all allies on the field to near full or full HP and removes their debuffs
-Attacks inflict the Overburn debuff onto enemies, helpful to abuse Phase Strike attachments and also provides synergy with Sharkry
-Gives every ally that deals single target damage the "Heat recovery" buff which restores them HP and +2 stability when attacked, also applies this buff to all allies with her ultimate skill every 3 turns
Cons:
-Worthless to roll for if you already own Suomi, who is the real best medic in the game, although Suomi currently isn't and won't be rollable for a while until her limited banner reruns in (likely) 3+ months
-Ultimate skill has a big requirement of needing 6 confectance gauge to be activated, which takes 3 whole turns to get (Centaureissi can only gain 2 confectance per turn)
-Her skill 1 can be awkward to use, it heals an ally (or allies) that's closest to Centaureissi instead of just targeting and selecting which ally you want to be healed like most healing skills. If you aren't careful you will accidentally heal the wrong ally, and this will cause you to have to press the rewind button and move Centaureissi to a different position to heal the proper ally
-No damage buffs for allies of any kind. All other medics in the game can provide damage buffs for your allies, but Centaureissi can't for some reason.
-Loses the ability to inflict Overburn on enemies if she gets attacked even once, has to wait until her ultimate skill charges again to recover this
Tier 2: The secondary medic you need for boss fight tier 6-8. If you own Centaureissi, you should only raise 1 of these, but if you don't own Centaureissi, you should probably raise both
-Ksenia: A low rarity doll, obtainable from both the limited gacha and permanent gacha as a random common drop. Her kit centers around two things, applying Atk buffs to allies and healing 1 ally doll per turn
Pros:
-Tied with Colphne as the second best currently available medic right now. You will need two medics raised in this game to beat the "Boss Fight" stages which is why you raise both Centaureissi and Ksenia, or Colphne and Ksenia if you won't manage to obtain Centaureissi.
-Can give a +15% atk buff to 2 allies (or 3 if you have her dupe4) that lasts two turns, which heavily raises the damage done to enemies, and she's considered to be the best doll in the game at giving Atk buffs
-Easy to obtain, being a low rarity doll
-Can provide the Heat Recovery buff to herself and to allies, which recovers their HP and stability when attacked
Cons:
-Can't AOE heal. Both Centaureissi and Colphne can
-The target for her healing has to be near her, so she can't heal allies from too far away like Centaureissi and Colphne can
-If an ally is too low in health, and Ksenia can't heal that ally with skill 2 to full health due to not having a high enough Atk stat, she can't provide that ally with an Atk buff
-Colphne: A low rarity doll, obtainable for free from doing story mode, but her dupes are also available from the limited and permanent gacha. Her kit centers around healing ally dolls from low health to full health every turn through single target and AOE healing
Pros:
-Tied with Ksenia as the second best currently available medic right now. You will need two medics raised in this game to beat the "Boss Fight" stages which is why you raise both Centaureissi and Colphne, or Ksenia and Colphne if you won't manage to obtain Centaureissi.
-Can give a +10% atk buff to 1 ally (or 2 allies if you have her dupe2) that lasts 2 turns, which raises the damage done to enemies.
-Obtained very easily due to being a reward for doing early story mode missions
-Is the best doll in the game at healing stability damage,
-Can do good AOE healing to all allies withing a 3x3 radius of her every 2 turns with her key 3 obtained
-Can heal allies who are far away from her, as her ultimate skill can heal an ally up to 8 tiles away from her and her skill 2 heals an ally with the lowest HP on the field regardless of distance
-Can deal Turbid damage with skill 2, which SLIGHTLY raises Tololo's crit chance and crit damage
Cons:
-Can't raise the Atk of allies nearly as well as Ksenia can
-After you're done doing boss fight 6-8, you are likely never ever using her again, unlike Ksenia who can have some applicability in the endgame in certain team compositions or Centaureissi and Suomi who both have their survivability skills to back them up
Tier 2: You would be a fucking idiot or want to play this game on hard mode if you don't raise these:
-Qiongjiu: Qiongjiu is a high rarity doll from the permanent gacha, she can appear from the permanent gacha and also spook you while you roll for limited dolls if you lose the 50%/50%. . Her kit centers around abusing her talent which lets her do 1 attack after an ally declared a single target attack, up to 3 (or sometimes 4) times per turn in order to do as much damage as possible
Pros:
-The queen of single target damage. Yeah, the highest amount of DPS any doll has on paper. The faster enemies are dead, the less you have to deal with them
-If Qiongjiu has her key 3 equipped (it's unlocked at around level 30 btw), she gives EVERY enemy the Def Down II debuff if they're attacked within Qiongjiu's attack range, which not only boosts her own damage, but the damage done by allies as well. By the way, the only good single target dolls who can consistently give the Def Down II debuff to enemies are Qiongjiu and Nemesis, and Nemesis is only able to apply it to 1 enemy, making Qiongjiu the best doll in the game for applying Def Down II
-Can apply Overburn with skill 2 if you're using Sharkry
-Will remain relevant in this game even 1 year into its lifespan
Cons:
-Not really a big con, but she needs allies to make single target attacks in order for her kit to work. If you can't make alot of single target attacks in a turn, maybe because you're using an AOE damage team, or if most of your allies are attacking enemies that are too far away from Qiongjiu for whatever reason, it might be better to switch out Qiongjiu for someone else
-Range for skill 2 is kind of awkward, but you're likely not using it very often in battles. Qiongjiu is best used when spamming her ultimate skill or when using skill 1.
-Tololo: Tololo is a high rarity doll from the permanent gacha, she can appear from the permanent gacha and also spook you while you roll for limited dolls if you lose the 50%/50%. Her kit centers around her using single target attacks against enemies and dealing damage, with the privilege of being able to have an additional turn at the start of the battle and every 3 turns after that
Pros:
-Really good at single target damage
-Has the unique ability to have a second turn if her confectance gauge becomes full. She can do this on turn 1, and every 3 turns after that
-During the turns that she can do this extra turn, she can move and attack twice.
-If equipped with the proper key, she can apply the Stun debuff to enemies with her skill 2 if a medic's support attack was used. Stun debuffs are very rare in this game.
-Can also inflict the congestion debuff to enemies with skill 1 if equipped with the right key
Cons:
-Her skill 1 requires there to be an enemy with either a Hydro or AR bullet weakness that she can attack. If an enemy she attacks with skill 1 doesn't have either 1 of these two weaknesses, Tololo won't be able to gain confectance gauge, which makes it slower for her to accumulate her confectance to 6 to get that second turn. This issue can be solved by using Sabrina, but it isn't always optimal to bring Sabrina to every battle just to give an enemy the Hydro weakness. It's also not that big of an issue, considering most stages have alot of enemies with either one of these weaknesses
Tier 3: If you own these, you should raise them and use them
-Ullrid: A high rarity limited doll. Available to be rolled from late February to mid march, but will likely not rerun afterwards for a long while (maybe 4+ months). Her kit centers around Ullrid running up to enemies, attacking them and then either retreating back to safety or camouflaging herself to avoid damage
Pros:
-A very high movement speed of 9 tiles, which can be relevant in stages where you need to move your dolls from one side of the map to the other, and also moving behind enemies to attack them from behind. To add to her high movement speed of 9 tiles, two of her skills allow her to move 6 tiles after attacking and her Ultimate skill also allows her to teleport 5 extra tiles.
-Decent single target damage
-Has access to camouflage, which makes enemies target other allies for attacks instead of her
Cons:
-Very low stability damage to enemies
-Aside from the turns where she's using her ultimate skill, she has to be directly besides an enemy target in order to attack them
-Unless you buy the monthly battle pass or roll for her signature weapon, she's forever stuck using her low rarity weapon which hinders both her damage and her confectance gain severely
-Unlike all the other dolls in the same tier as her, Ullrid is a limited doll that requires rolling currency that might definitely be better used for other limited dolls instead of her
-Vepley: Vepley is a high rarity doll that can be obtained for free once you complete your beginner missions, but her dupes are also available from the limited and permanent gacha. Her kit centers around dealing AOE damage and inflicting both the movement down II and a +20% damage received debuff to enemies for 2 turns
Pros:
-Obtainable for free by completing newbie missions
-The best AOE damage dealer from early to mid game, can spam AOE damage with her ultimate skill every turn as long as she's hitting minimum 3 enemies
-Able to inflict a debuff that makes enemies take +20% damage and can apply this debuff to multiple enemies every turn
-Able to inflict movement reduction II onto enemies, which will be very relevant when beating certain boss fight stages. There's only two other dolls in the game that can inflict movement reduction II every turn, Sabrina and Groza, and Vepley is considerably better than them at damage
-Very high movement speed of 8 tiles
-Can get a -60% damage reduction buff with one of her keys if there's no ally 6 tiles close to her, which can make her tanky vs single target damage
-If you decide to get all her 6 of her keys, she gives you a common key that's good and usable on any damage dealer
-Can help in annoying expansion drill missions that require you to "kill 3 enemies at the same time" with her AOE
-Has a skill that pushes enemies, comes in handy in some stages, not just to push enemies into pits to instakill them, but to push them outside of cover
Cons:
-An AOE damage dealer in a game where single target damage is more often useful.
-Because she's mostly focused on doing AOE damage, while she has access to some single target attacks, it leaves alot to be desired in terms of single target damage vs bosses. Also, her range for her single target attacks can sometimes be too short so you have to get Vepley very close to the boss
-Once Klukai gets added to the game, there will be 0 reason to want to use Vepley after you're done with the boss fight stages since Klukai is the indisputed and unmatched #1 AOE damage dealer
-Mosin Nagant: Mosin Nagant is a high rarity doll from the permanent gacha, she can appear from the permanent gacha and also spook you while you roll for limited dolls if you lose the 50%/50%. . Her kit centers around being able to stun 1 enemy target per turn while dealing some single target damage
Pros:
-Ability to inflict the paralyze debuff on 1 enemy every single turn, which stuns them and making them unable to attack. This raises your survivability by a considerable amount if you're stunning a hard hitting enemy, especially if you're underleveled. She's the only doll in the game besides Nagant who can apply this debuff every turn, and unlike Nagant, Mosin actually deals decent damage
-Only requires you to invest 3 cores into one of her keys in order to inflict Paralyze, which isn't alot of resources for a high rarity doll
-Huge range on her attacks due to being a RF doll
-Has decent single target damage, not as high as Qiongjiu's or Tololo's but not too bad either (as long as there's an enemy with 0 stability, check the cons section)
Cons:
-Low movement speed of only 4 tiles
-Major bosses in this game are completely immune to the paralyze debuff, and mini stage bosses gain immunity to paralyze after being hit by it once, so you can't permastun them
-Her confectance gauge gain and some of her damage depend on you attacking an enemy with 0 stability. Sometimes bosses have a stability that's way too high to take down to 0 in one turn, and on those turns Mosin may not be able to charge her confectance nor deal extra damage with her support attacks which hinders her damage by alot
-Nemesis: Nemesis is a low rarity doll that can be obtained for free simply by playing the very first couple of story missions, but her dupes are also available from the limited and permanent gacha. Her kit centers around dealing single target damage to 1 enemy and inflicting the Def Down II debuff onto 1 enemy per turn
Pros:
-Obtainable for free just by starting the game
-She's one of the two only single target dolls in the game that can inflict the Def Down II debuff onto an enemy, which not only raises Nemesis' own damage, but also the damage of allies attacking that enemy
-Cheap to raise, only needs 1 core to obtain her Def Down II key
-Decent single target damage, especially for being a low rarity doll
-Huge range on her attacks due to being a RF doll
Cons:
-Low movement speed of only 4 tiles
-Once you're done with the boss fight stages and obtain Qiongjiu, there will likely be no reason to use Nemesis again due to Qiongjiu being better at the role of the doll that inflicts Def Down II
-Her talent can select unattackable objects to inflict the Prophecy of Mourning debuff in some stages which can slightly lower her damage
-Groza
Pros:
Cons:
Tier 4: Same as above, worth raising but they're only really worth using once you obtain certain fixed keys of their kit at around level 25-30
-Sabrina
-Sharkry
Tier 5: Too much hassle resetting for good RNG results to be of good use, but usable nonetheless
-Cheeta
Tier 6: Not worth leveling, at least as a newbie
-Peritya
-Papasha
-Nagant
-Krolik
-Littara
NO LONGER AVAILABLE, only available to use from Friend Support
-Suomi:Will not rerun until likely +3 months based on CN trends
-Makiatto: Will likely rerun next month
-Daiyan:Will likely rerun in 2 months
-Dushevnaya: WIll likely rerun in 3 months
-Lotta: Unknown when she's coming back
The Endgame
Well, you are at the endgame when
-You are level 60
-You have beaten boss fight stages 1-8 and the 3 extra boss fight stages
-You have beaten all Peak Estimation stages
-You have a team that can beat the 10 Expansion Drill stages every two weeks
-You can beat Challenge mode stages in events
-You are doing well enough in the level 60 platoon Gunsmoke Frontline boss stages
These next sections of the guide will be dedicated to those with a powerful enough squad to do all of the above
Rolling on the Mystery Box Gacha (WIP)
It is recommended to do this only when you have your squad built well enough. Do ask the threads about this, there are alot of opinions about this, and I can't finish writing this because of the lack of knowledge on the droprates and average rolls gained through doing this mystery box gacha.
BEST WEAPONS, ATTACHMENTS AND FIXED KEYS FOR EACH CHARACTER (ENDGAME):
Below is a list of which weapons, attachments and which fixed keys are best for each character
This list mostly has Gunsmoke Frontline, Expansion Drill Stage 10 and event final challenge stages in mind
Note that every weapon is treated at 0 duplicate copies. Duplicate copies of weapons can make a weapon be better than other weapons
Also note, THERE CAN BE ALOT OF VARIABLES THAT DEPEND ON BATTLES that will determine which weapon is better, I leave some notes in parenthesis for some weapons since that can be better sometimes for niche situations
(Note: This list is heavily based on the following spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DogyU3K7ZXw2qbhP1EhRXIAw5nCyIV5G5e-QWviBZME)

Best weapon: Either Ullrid's Signature weapon(Rectrix) for boss stages or Battle Pass Sword(Crowned Jackalope) for killing mobs>Either Pluma Edge for boss stages or Prairie Hunter for killing mobs
Best Attachment Set: Phase Strike (+15% dmg against phase debuffed enemies)

LATEGAME ATTACHMENT GUIDE:
The worst part of this game.
Once you are max level 60, have your entire party built, have enough T-dolls well leveled for Gunsmoke, and don't have anything else to farm, you're ready for the lategame grind.
There's some stuff you need to know about attachments. Whenever you obtain a gold rarity attachment from the attachment farm stage, it'll have 3 (or if it's the muzzle, 4) of the following stats at random: ATK% bonus, ATK+, DEF% bonus, DEF+, HP% bonus, HP+, CRIT%, CRITDMG%.(only the muzzle can obtain CRITDMG%)
Not only will the 3 type of stats you get be randomized, but the amount of ATK, DEF, HP, Crit rate (and Crit Dmg for the muzzle) that the attachment will have also be random
How much of each stat you can get:
Attack%/Defense%/Health%: 2.6%, 3.0%, 3.4%, 3.8%
Attack+: 17, 19, 21, 23, 24
Defense+: 10, 12, 14, 16
Health+: 38, 43, 48, 53, 54
Critical Hit%/Critical Damage%: 3.5%, 4.0%, 4.5%, 5.0%
For your damage dealers, whenever you obtain an attachment from the attachment farming stage, you want the attachment to have ATK% bonus, ATK+ and CRIT% (plus CRITDMG% if it's the muzzle since it can have 4 stats, if possible). Any other attachment that doesn't have ATK%, ATK+ and CRIT% is just trash. For example, if you get an attachment with ATK and CRIT but a defensive stat like DEF or HP, it's garbage. Keep doing the same attachment stages until you get all 4 of a weapon's attachments with ATK% bonus, ATK+ CRIT% (and CRITDMG% for the muzzle, if possible). Afterwards, upgrade your attachments
For your medics it depends. If you want them for healing in tough story missions, you want the attachment to have ATK% bonus, ATK+ and HP% bonus (plus DEF% bonus for the muzzle), but if you want them to do more damage for a raid boss, you want them to have the same attachments a damage dealer would have. After getting your attachments, upgrade them
For your more defense oriented T-dolls, which in this game are only Groza and Sabrina, you want them to have HP% bonus, DEF% bonus, HP+ (and DEF+ for the muzzle). After getting your attachments, upgrade them
In my viewpoint, there's no content in the lategame that really needs these T-dolls with perfect attachments so you can use any unleveled attachment set on them because tanking damage in the very lategame is unnecessary.
How to upgrade suboptimal attachments:
A suboptimal attachment (in the opinion of the person writing this guide) is an attachment that has less than 3.8% ATK, less than 23 ATK, and/or less than 4.5% CRIT (and if it's the muzzle, less than 4.5% CRIT DMG) the moment you obtain it
To upgrade these kind of attachments, first use a bunch of trash attachments to feed EXP into the attachment until it's 5000/5000 (the quick selection button will help you do that), click on the "Add Boost Materials" button, then add 3 Precision Boost Chips to the upgrade (if it's the muzzle, add 4 Precision Boost Chips instead), then hit the upgrade button, and you're done upgrading that attachment.
How to upgrade optimal attachments for damage dealing T-dolls:
An optimal attachment (in the opinion of the person writing this guide) is an attachment that has exactly 3.8% ATK, 23-24 ATK, and 4.5%-5% CRIT (and if it's the muzzle, 4.5%-5% CRIT DMG) the moment you obtain it. This attachment also has to be for a T-doll that is a good damage dealer (Like for an AR doll for Qiongjiu/Tololo/Daiyan, or for a RF doll like dupe1+Makiatto/dupe6Mosin, or for whatever future doll meets the criteria of main damage dealer in a battle. Upgrading optimal attachments to near max for dolls that aren't damage dealers is not really a priority, unless you're interested in the future Expansion Drill risk 40 battles (that game mode has no rewards btw) where the ATK of medics and the HP and DEF of tanks actually matter.
To upgrade these kinds of attachment, don't choose to Add Boost Materials. Just feed it EXP through the quick selection button by using a bunch of trash attachments and hit upgrade. After the first time you upgrade it, upgrade it again, but if you see any of the stats go lower than before (if any of the stat boosts is written in red), click Restore instead of Confirm. Keep doing this type of upgrade, where you click restore if any stat goes down but hit confirm if all stats go up, until the attachment is at least 160% on all stats (or higher it you want to metafag harder and you have alot of resources).
"Hey, what about attachments for support units? I have a perfect attachment for this non damage dealing doll"
Not really a priority right now, honestly you'd have to be a pretty huge minmaxer and have alot of spare gold just lying around to want to upgrade attachment for a non-damage dealer right now. Even if you upgrade it to max the damage it'll do will still likely be as pitifully low as before. That said, I'm talking about gunsmoke scores. I'm sure there will be future game modes that actually care that your support units have high enough ATK HP and DEF from attachments, but right now those game modes don't exist in global, so it's not a priority.
But that's just my opinion. B urself and get that non-damage dealing doll to max attachment stats if you so please
One last final piece of info you need to know about upgrading attachments in general is that attachment stats can be upgraded up to 3x the initial value of the stat. So for example, if you got an attachment from the attachment stage with initial stats being 3.8% ATK, 5% CRIT and 24 ATK+, the maximum amount of stats that attachment can give the weapon will be 11.4% ATK, 15% CRIT and 72 ATK+ after it's fully upgraded. Alternatively if the initial stats of an attachment were 3.4% ATK, 4% CRIT and 21 ATK+, the maximum stats that attachment can ever reach is 10.2% ATK, 12% CRIT and 63 ATK+. This is why attachments with suboptimal initial stats are merely upgraded once, just to cope with having suboptimal attachments while you wait for the attachment stage to eventually give you an optimal attachment
