Full Circle III - Part II A

Kaylee stared at the lifeless body of her friend. “What a bitch to deal with. Well, now it is just me and you.” The monster laughed over her new kill.

Kaylee bit her lower lip, a fillet of blood descending from it. * ‘Orochi can regenerate. If I can take her to safety!’*

Maybe some doctor could help fix her. Fighting Feral was no longer worth the struggle.

The student’s heart rang loudly in her chest as she fought back against the despair that threatened to overwhelm her—any idea of clashing against the villain was thrown down the drain.

Her friend was the only thing that mattered now. The hero student pushed against fear and despair as she shot herself toward Orochi. “Nuh fucking huh!”

Feral grabbed Kaylee by the neck; the grab killed the flying student’s momentum. “I won’t allow that pathetic excuse of a "hero" to get up once again.” The villain snarled, despising the idea of Orochi surviving yet again.

Orochi was not even strong; she was a coward who froze against Feral until her precious little teacher stepped in. She was not worth surviving.

Before Kaylee could break herself from Feral’s hold, the villain jumped. The scenery around them shifted quickly as Feral placed distance between them and Orochi’s corpse.

They were several streets away from Orochi in one swift motion, the villain’s muscles and strength swelling as the wounds of the previous brawls finally mended.

The despair within Kaylee sank to the bottom of her stomach as she realized the villain’s intent—the chances of reaching Orochi in time to save her dwindled by the second.

The villain smashed Kaylee against the concrete as the realization of her friend’s death settled in. “You are strong, contrary to that fake dragon. What about joining us? We could make use of your strength, contrary to those heroes.”

Feral grinned at Kaylee, her eyes wide, as if she were listening to Feral. “We are stronger than you can imagine. Our leader was in your class, no? Imagine how much you can grow if you stop holding yourself back by hanging around those weaklings.”

Kaylee had beaten Feral once, a Feral who suffered a deadly attack, but the villain knew her strength well, and Kaylee was more than a match for her.

The possibilities if they joined sides, the brawls, the battles: ‘You did more in the few moments you were in the fight than your friend. I hope this knocks some sense in your head.’

Kaylee whispered something, but even Feral could not hear what she said. “hum? Did you say something? Am I finally getting through?” Feral grinned ear to ear, getting closer to listen to Kaylee.

In truth, the student had not heard a single thing Feral had said; rather, the despair in her stomach became something else as she processed the events that unfolded seconds ago.

It became rage, a righteous anger that craved vengeance. As Feral got closer, Kaylee raised her hands. She no longer cared about getting tired or hurt.

If she could not save her friend... She would make sure her death was not in vain. “HAAAAAA!” A ludicrous amount of energy gathered in her hands; it gathered quickly, but much of it was wasted by a lack of finer control to gather it.

The energy exploded forward like a beam, shot at point-blank range. Feral was forced out of Kaylee, her scales broke down and burned, and her eyes widened in surprise at the attack.

Feral fell on the asphalt near her. Kaylee got up. Her eyes filled with rage. Feral laughed as she wiped the dust off her.

“Don’t think about running away from her. I killed her; I felt her life unravel under my claws. Besides, even I could not survive having all my organs removed like that.” The villain giggled.

Feral looked into Kaylee’s eyes and insulted her rage. ‘I have a score to settle against you too. If someone as strong as you is not willing to join, then I will kill you too.’ The excitement in Feral’s body made her adaptations rabid, her scales thickened, and her claws grew.

Kaylee clenched her fists. “Then I will avenge my friend here and now.” Energy enveloped Kaylee as she flew like a rocket toward her enemy, her vision clouded red.

Feral raised her first to “welcome” Kaylee into the fight properly.

They clashed, and Kaylee’s fist landed on Feral’s solar plexus as the villain’s claw grazed against her shoulder. It drew blood.

Feral and Kaylee traded blows without pause or second thought about their attacks. The only thing they wanted was each other’s demise, and they would stop at nothing to achieve it.

High above, storm clouds formed, lightning charging the air as the telltales of rain appeared. A flash of lightning fell, and after it, rain came as if the skies had grieved.

The final battle started as the clouds cried.

Tranquility
