CS Ending Speculations/Options:
- Timmy/Trixie OTP:
Our guy is on a MISSION and he’s sticking to it. Further Trixie/Timmantha development, then liar revealed, some drama, Trixie realizes that she’s conditionally bi (maybe Lor eases her into the concept, as we see Trixie’s ideal dream sex is with the three of them), and a Timmysexual (sees the Timmantha in Timmy and the Timmy in Timmantha, rather than drawing a hard line of distinction) and Timmy achieves what he set out to do by ultimately nutting up and being honest. Trixie being Bi is closer to the canon of “The Boy Who Would Be Queen” (Timmantha’s episode), where she says “If you were a guy I would totally date you” which could factor in as D likes to consider canon. The theme of that episode is “honesty” and “being who you are without embarrassment”, something that has translated over to the comic in a way (CS is regularly about identity, falsifying it, and the pain that causes). You could say this discards Trixie’s need to overcome her image obsession (but other people will judge me!), but she could still go Tomboy mode and hang with Chester/AJ/Timmy and that would accomplish the same thing (giving up the popular girl rat race). Straightforward, no curve balls. In this timeline Tootie’s best option is Goo, or perhaps Goo helps her by making the best imaginary boyfriend for her (more Timmy than Timmy, closer to her dream), alternatively, maybe she really just needs friends more than a boyfriend. Lor, I could see her move on easily enough, she’s a free spirit. Veronica would be out of Trixie’s shadow, and could achieve popularity on her own, or join the friend group. Maybe moving away would be best for her? Least likely is VeronicaXTootie but not straight up physically impossible to make work. Simple, effective, you did the thing that it says on the tin. - Timmy/Tootie OTP:
She’s been ride or die since the very beginning, the first real lewd scene, loving him for him. Timmy has really made friends with/come to appreciate Tootie as Timmantha. In a world where Trixie isn’t meant to be, I could easily see him making peace with the main quest’s end, and realizing that the real thing was right beside him all along. This was a mild possibility for me up until recently, but the dream sequence and especially the latest scene with the two absolutely opens the route wide open. Whatever goes down action or drama-wise, Tootie can “earn” the win fairly easy by supporting him and catching his heart with something cute. Any route that doesn’t end with some version of Timmy with Trixie will have some standard “side girl won wtf happened to the main goal” controversy, but Tootie is very believable and set up enough so far, if a tad conventional. The trick to a good Tootie end is to not let it feel like a consolation prize, really sell them together as a great fit, and ending the Trixie pursuit with closure. Trixie would probably end up with Lor if the Weekendersverse is close enough, but Veronica isn’t out of the question. Very safe play, if a bit predictable. - Veronica with the steel chair:
Definitely the least likely of the Timmy OTPs, but it should be considered. Veronica canonically loves Timmy a lot (this was introduced in “Information Stupor Highway”, the same episode “call me Trixie” comes from.), and they also share commonalities with (what could be written as) unhealthy attachments to Trixie. Veronica in the comic needs to move on from her false image of Trixie, embrace herself, and form more meaningful relationships. The route is still fairly closed for now, but there is still time for the story to turn in such a way that it throws the gate wide open. Veronica acting mysterious in the latest pages perked my ears up because she’s definitely the wild card in all this. Her place in the story still has the most mystery to it (villain flags and good flags). Her being CONSPICUOUSLY ABSENT in the dream montage is another huge green flag that she’s gonna complicate the situation. This is a sneaky one. - Perma-Timmantha:
What might be the obvious choice in a generic genderbender fetish story (and CS is anything but). In Trixie OTP it’s Trixie that budges to Bi, in Tootie OTP, it’s Timmy that gives up the chase. In this timeline, both can have their cake and eat it too… at the expense of Timmy’s former identity. This definitely doesn’t play nice by FOP canon, and could be slightly controversial for the guy-as-girl self insert crowd, but it preserves the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object. Timmantha “replacing” Timmy in everyone’s memory (like a magic ‘stepfather special’ retcon) would also give Tootie a Dimmesdale friend with zero jealousy of, and potentially Veronica could come around. The overall theme of the story seems to focus on “true identity”, so to make this work, Timmy would have to align more with his Timmantha persona and for more than just getting in Trixie’s pants (friends, genuinely likes girly things like dressup, etc). This choice has been carefully preserved as a possibility throughout the comic, both Timmy’s boyish perspective and Timmantha’s girlishness have been showcased. At this point in the story, Timmy himself is doing some light questioning, but it hasn’t been a major source of drama yet. Additional evidence would be the fact that Timmantha is the character we’ve been with and gotten to know through the story, not Timmy, and that yuri has been the primary thrust of the comic. Could be a general crowd pleaser if it doesn’t feel like an allegory for… more than this comic was in 2007. Trixie is really the only likely endgame for a Perma-Timmantha end, though there is a small possibility for the two extremes of harem, and no final pairing. Bit of a needle thread to do it right, but a totally believable direction (arguably the most telegraphed). - The Ranma 1/2:
Why settle? In this version, Timmy can henshin magical girl transform at will. Not the most realistic option, but a sharing ending where Trixie is definitely only into girls and Tootie is definitely only into guys could look like this. Similar to Trixie’s costume in Boy Who Would Be Queen. Bit wish-fulfilly, but what are fairies for? My actual guess if Ranma 1/2 plays into the story at all is it’s a last desperate attempt to balance both main options (at the dance?), getting into shenanigans before conceding to another option (most likely Double The Fun). - Double the Fun:
Want to give the audience everything without giving Timmy everything? This is how you do it. Timmantha and Timmy split into two beings, Timmy goes with Tootie and Timmantha goes with Trixie. Benefit is that you get to see how both choices would go, get your happily ever afters. This is just out there enough that it could present itself as the natural “creative alternate option” that surprises some people. Maximizing impact without being complete wish fulfillment (some wistful bits about how the other half lives). This is also the only option where Timmy can fuck himself at some point, and probably the only dick you can have Timmantha take that most people would accept. Alternate timelines is another way to do this if you want the separation to be even more drastic (and that way the alt ships like Lor/Trixie, Tootie/Goo(?) could get their own exploration. Right in the butterzone for maximum potential, but takes effort. Maximalist. - Real Human Bean (and a real hero):
This is an odd one, but CS has always toed the line between giving heaping portions of what you come to porn comics for, and something more. In the world where D prioritizes themes, characters and story over the typical wants of a porn comic ending, there’s a greater than zero chance that we see Timmy forego everything for the sake of everyone else (sacrifice personal happiness for everyone). Tootie would have to be in a different place, but not impossible. Bold choice, but in character I’d say. - The Stepfather Special (aka how to become infamous in one easy step):
The dark sibling to Real Human Bean, Stepfather Special is the more bitter than sweet version. If shit gets bad enough with the tree spirit or if the third act is really terrible for everyone (and I consider this the least likely of options) the set-up memory wipe ability could be used to do a sort of reset ending, but Timmy can take what he’s learned to start fresh in Dimmsdale, and we can be hopeful that it’ll be for the best. An eat-your-vegetables kinda ending. I only have one slight schizotheory hint that could point to this but I won’t disclose it because I think it’s a spoiler (and also probably not heading towards Stepfather Special tbh). - Hartman-Mode (Ambiguity):
Can’t beat him? Join him. Hartman’s answer to the Tootie/Trixie question at the end of Channel Chasers was to give Timmy everything, but not reveal who the girl is. This preserves the headcanon and you can choose your own. Some would say cowardly, some would say smart. Would also fit in with canon the most to tie it all into Channel Chasers (maybe have the kids getting ready for their own Sherwood adventures as Timmy reminisces about those days long ago that he only half remembers with a smile). - Total Timmy Victory (Harem/Wish fulfillment):
Screw all that shit, you want to win it all? There’s a mild case to be made for a TOTAL Timmy victory, a little elbow grease and you can do a wish fulfillment ending well. Tootie obviously likes Timmy (and has harem dreams/is open to that sort of fantasy), Veronica canonically likes Timmy too (and probably Trixie), Trixie has Timmantha/Lor dreams, Lor is Bi and dreams of being with Trixie while getting banged by a dude… the puzzle pieces are there if the will is strong. Crowd pleaser, but harder to write with dignity. - The Absolute Madman:
Everything else! D has the entire canon of western animation at his disposal… literally anything could happen. This is where it could get really wild, time travel, you name it. Batshit endings nobody has even considered go here.
If I were to GUESS, I think we’re most likely headed for Double the Fun. It’s the most balanced between wish fulfillment and bittersweet. Perma-Timmantha is my next guess, followed by Timmy/Tootie OTP, then Trixie/Timmy OTP, then Hartman Mode, then Real Human Bean, then Total Timmy Victory, then Absolute Madman, then Ranma 1/2, and finally Stepfather Special.
MISC:
-I think the Spring Spirit could have redemption, or at least a reasonable point of view (honesty with what you want).
-I think the dance that’s set up on page 2 is gonna be a big moment for the comic
-There’s a little something brewing between Helga and Penelope cooking in the background… she might be the obstacle for her to be with Arnold.
-Keats is an interesting poet, don’t you know it.
-Appearance of Grim is a bad omen.
-Jun and Ray Ray are almost ridiculously obviously a lock.
