"Bliss", alternatively "Bucolic Green Hills"—currently known (and loved) as the nostalgic default Windows XP wallpaper—was taken by former National Geographic photographer James O'Rear in January 1996. The comparision shown in this graphic for my Rentry is between the time it was taken (1996) and more recently. It's beautiful how time wears things out, isn't it? Will these hills be remembered at a later point in time? Will you be remembered?
