Short Timeline of Oiseau interactions during the Infinitium Protectorate of Risu.

March 10th 1114: The Orléans Affair Infinitium suggests the formation of a Protectorate or Vassalage of Oiseau. Rejected and starts the beginning of the La nouvelle rivalité, which causes ripples in the Kingdom and geopolitics.

June 1st 1114: Oiseau sends the Letter of 4 Righteous Demands. It requests that Infinitium:

1. Withdraw from Risu in 3 months.
2. Formally Apologize for their actions in Risu and Oiseau,
3. Agree to the demilitarization of Risu of any military assets by both sides. Oiseau has officially done this (A mere company of Chasseurs à Pied were in Risu at the time, attacking some raiders.)
4. Meet at a neutral ground under neutral arbitration.
   Ignored by Infinitium.

September 30th 1114: The Queen after months of debate, decides to pursue the plan of the Henri IV de Dampierre, Duc d'Angoulême, a pragmatic plan over that of the sabre rattlers.

Called the Angoulême Plan, it follows three essential concepts:

1. Rapprochement with Deuxlunesia and Moriji.
2. Pursue a path of proxy war within Risu itself, funding anti-Kronie tribes, promoting anti-Kronie propaganda, and putting up more and more diplomatic pressure on Infinitium and protests.
3. If all else fails within 5 years, and Infinitium has refused, Démonstration de force must be shown to persuade the Kronies that their little protectorate is at the mercy of Oiseau.

March 20th 1115: Proxy War in Risu officially begins with the arming of anti-Kronie tribes and raids.

October 1st 1115: First Treaty of Novaria is signed between Deuxlunesia, Moriji and Oiseau. Tsukinode arbitrating.

1. All relations between the nations are now Détente and trade is opened between them.
2. Cooperation against the Sultanate, Caliphate and the Cannibals is agreed.
3. The Slave Trade is ended. Moriji and Oiseau agree to anti-slavery patrols.
4. Political Marriages are made and an agreement to meet again in 5 years.

1116-18: Army and Naval funding that had been increased in 1114 is starting to bear fruit. Agra is armed and more propaganda, arms and funding flows into Risu.

July 31st, 1118: First sabotage efforts are done, with the explosion of a gunpowder magazine in Flora.

April 1st, 1119: The Second Letter of Righteous Demands is sent. All of the former demands are declared, but also added these

5. Immediate withdraw of all Kronie and Cannibal Colonists from Risu and the handing of all Infinity infrastructure to the locals.
6. Releasing and pardon of all anti-Kronie tribals.
7. Acknowledgement of the crimes against anti-Kronie tribes by Infinitium and the trial of those in command of these atrocities.
8. Reparations for Agra.
   Ignored again.

1120: Year of Intensification
5 years had passed, and little had changed. It was now time for stage 3 of Angoulême Plan.

July 10th 1120: Second meeting at Novaria starts and lasts till September 20th. The following is agreed between Deuxlunesia after Moriji declines to come but Tsukinode comes as a full participant. As a result, the Republic of Zeta is the neutral arbitrator.

1. Alliance between Deuxlunesia, Tsukinode and Oiseau
2. The borders of Deuxlunesia and Oiseau are formalize "for all times as the boundaries of our nations."
3. Deuxlunesia and Tsukinode (Vassals included) agrees to denounce the Protectorate as illegitimate.
4. Lusitania, Zetan Republic, Moriji, Holy Iridisian Empire and her states, Kaiserreich, Serene Republic, /ehe/, /towa/, Syndeoneia, Republic Owl and Retro Reich all called on to denounce the protectorate. Only Zetan Republic. the Kaiserreich, /ehe/, the Retro Reich and Republic Owl agree.
5. Agreements by Tsukinode and Deuxlunesia to cooperate against Warung Kopi and the two agree to meet next year for their own treaty.

August 2nd, 1120: Charles Phillippe, the Marquis de Maumigny, crosses the Merak River with ~2,500 men for four reasons:

1. Construction of a series of forts along the river to prevent raids from the Batikhi Sultanate from their northern route. This was the "official reason", but the truth was that the Kingdom already was prepared along her boundaries. The real reason was to fortify the whole border.
2. The eventual reconquest of the Côte de Barbarie, reestablishing Oiseau presence in the region.
3. The swaying and potential raising of a Tupai of worthy stock to drive out the Kronies or if nothing more establishes a powerful ally between Infinitium and Oiseau
4. Démonstration de force against the Protectorate.

September 2nd, 1120: The man of destiny, a Risuner Tribal Chief named Commodus Shrivastava is captured by Maumigny after as expect, the Tupai attacked the Oiseaux. He was marked out prior by spies from VII as of great potential, and his night attack was advised by VII plants. This was a turning point that not even the Oiseaux realized as his potential was far greater than what was revealed.

Spring of 1121: Commodus and Maumigny ride off to Silvanus with the whole of the1 2ème Hussards after Maumigny requests to see the Tupai capital, knowing Silvanus was the city that a southerner would assume to be it given its large size. Victory at Panrong immortalizes Maumigny as a hero in Risu's South for saving the town.

Summer to Winter of 1121: Maumigny's famed "Intrepid Ride" across the Protectorate to Silvanus and then back occurs. Along with the news of Panrong, the fact that the Kronies were unable to prevent this greatly demoralizes them.

1122-1124: The threat of the Sultanate is reduced by the fortifications. More and more troops flow into South Risu, and increased attacks occur from partisans.

January 1122: Destruction of the Ironclad "Victoronii" at sea by agents from Republic Owl and Oiseau. This causes the Kronies to believe that their Ironclads are not seaworthy.

August 2nd, 1124: Battle of Tigaraska. Complete rout of the Sultanate and the turning point in Tupai history. The hailing of the anti-Infinity Joyo Cahya as Kaisar by the Southerners as a result of the battle would be one of several other factors that caused the Kronies to leave Risu on March 11th, 1125, VTE.

November 23rd, 1124: Annihilation of a Kronie battalion between Hermes and Ceres by Agra during an ambush.

February 1st to 14th, 1125: The entirety of the Eastern Fleet sails in a Démonstration de force off Demeter. The Kronies can do nothing but watch and their position has been realized with the other reverses to be totally untenable.

March 11th, 1125: Infinitium declares the "Declaration of Independence and Friendship" in Risu, announcing the end of the protectorate under the sign of Friendship. They also announce their intentions to meet with Oiseau regarding this whole matter. (I have no true way of doing this, but I would assume what is agreed is the gradual withdraw of both forces. I doubt any of the demands of reparations, apologies or anything is agreed on. Both sides were not "good guys" but powers acting in their own self-interest.)

Notes:

Please understand that this doesn't alter the current situation of the Kronies in Risu at all. I am hesitant to even name the acts of sabatoge or how brutal things were because that is not my jurisdiction and everything in here can be talked over and debated. The resistance to them was concentrated to several tribes and despite their earlier brutalities, they grew to be loved by many in the region of the protectorate. As Risuners are an apathetic people, and both sides committed atrocities. The end of the protectorate is seen by Risuners in the region of magnimity and true friendship. It is notable that the most prominent pre-Joyo Cahya Anti-Kronie group native to Risu was Agra, a city that is not well like at all by the locals. Thus, the Kronies fighting them further makes their cause righteous. The rise of Joyo Cahya further pushes them this way too, this isn't "Infinity bad, Mep good." at all and by no means should this be the interpretation.

Furthermore, I cannot by any means represent the Kronie side of things, or even the Risuner side properly. I am operating with things I was told are fine by others and furthermore expect those sides to come out. Things are complex in geopolitics and I, under no circumstances as a person, hate Infinity or the Kronies at all. If I truly hated them, I would never write anything about them because my own personal distain would cloud my judgement as a writer and make me unreasonable.
