Duet Night Abyss FAQ
- Is this a gacha?
No. All gameplay related things like character unlocks, weapon unlocks and anything related to progression is FREE. There is a costume gacha with two costumes for two characters but there are also costumes up for sale in the shop if you don't like gachas. You can play and enjoy the entire game without ever engaging with any gacha mechanics. - How often does the game update?
The developers have stated the game will be on a 28 day update cycle. Every new update cycle, a new character will be added to the Immersive Theater mode and the current character in there will be moved to weekly boss drops. - Does it have multiplayer?
Yes, the game does feature multiplayer and co-op play with others. - Are there dailies and weeklies?
There's dailies but they are of rather minor impact and you won't 'miss out' or 'fall behind' if you don't log in for a day or three. There are weeklies though and several activities you might want to clear every week that would advance your account and characters so you might want to do those. There is also a battle pass with daily/weekly activities with some rewards in there for active players.
Weekly activities are bosses (Nocturnal Echoes), Weekly Comissions (Wedge Chase), Weekly refreshing rewards (Maze) and monthly challenge modes (Theater). - Can I play for however long I want? Are there any stamina systems stopping me from playing the game?
No. There are no stamina systems or anything preventing you from grinding. You can play for five minutes or 20 hours grinding whatever you want. You can also attempt to set up your own AFK farms on certain missions where this is possible because there's no system to kick you out if you go AFK. - Who should I go for? Is there a tierlist?
It's a grinding game where you can max out anyone you want so generally the best advice would be to pick a character you like and stick to maxing them. If you really want someone to focus on then good choices would be the main character you start out with and Rebecca for AFK farm purposes.

Lisbell and Lynn are good choices for consonance weapon users. Lisbell if you're a lolicon and Lynn if you aren't.
- How do I progress? What am I supposed to do in this game?
Play the story, ascend your characters and farm their Demon Wedges. Demon Wedges are the gear of your character and where most of your power will come from. If you are playing the story then please make sure to ascend your character to at least level 40 with a decently built or invested weapon before continuing if you want a smooth experience. Alternatively, unlock or build a consonance weapon user like Berenica, Lisbell, Lynn or Psyche to skip the step about building a weapon since they come with their own special weapons that scale off skill damage.
Other than that, the 'point' of the game is to grind up your favorites and make them as strong as possible then tackle the endgame challenges such as the monthly mode "Immersive Theater" that encourages players to have a diverse roster of characters to properly tackle the challenges it offers. - Some of these missions are too slow, is there a way to increase spawns?
Adjust "Crowd Density" to extreme if you want to see more enemies on screen and lower if you want to see less. This setting actually affects spawns too so make sure to set it as high as possible if you want to see more enemies. - I want to unlock X character, where do I get them?
Here is a chart that explains where to get each character as of November 2. Characters in theater will go down to Weekly bosses after a new one comes out and characters on weekly bosses will eventually go down to being shop characters once their time there is done.
