Summary of Summer Trinity II
The event starts in a dark room.
Sakurako: I've been interested in you for a while now.
S: For your thoughtfulness... and your ability to comprehend ancient books.
S: I hope you will lend us that strength of yours...
S: After all, on top of speaking to you in private like this, I've set aside a special area for you.
*(not sure about this line)
S: ...
S: Kozeki Ui.
There's a brief summary of the previous Ui event. Hinata destroying the scripture, Ui sending (you) on a fetchquest, Ui fixing the book, and finally the last scene where Ui's about to read her copy of the book.
Back in the present, Sakurako has a scary expression on her face. She wants to talk with Ui about "that incident", but Ui is mad she got kidnapped.
Sakurako doesn't understand how this counts as a kidnapping, since the Sisterhood just asked Ui to come with them.
Ui says there's no way she could refuse when a bunch of people surround her, especially when those people are from a group as secretive as the Sisterhood.
Sakurako goes off on a mini-rant about how the Sisterhood is nowhere near as shady as rumors make them out to be, and how it's unfair they get treated like this when everyone has one or two secrets.
Ui groans at this and changes the subject back to why she got dragged here.
Ui briefly gets paranoid that the Sisterhood is gonna do something to her, and that they're gonna gang up and force her into submission, but Sakurako cuts her off and repeats that she needs Ui's help with something.
Sakurako reveals that the Sisterhood is aware Ui made a copy of the scripture from the previous event.
Ui freaks out, and wonders if this is why she saw some Sisterhood girls loitering around the Old Library a few days ago.
Sakurako says she wasn't done talking. While it's true that anyone has a right to read the scriptures, since they're historical documents at the end of the day, she thinks it's a little much to make a copy without asking permission first.
Ui isn't really listening, and is still freaking out. She then remembers Hinata was involved too, and freaks out even harder over how Hinata isn't in the room and that must mean she got secretly taken out already and oh god she's so sorry she never meant to get Hinata wrapped up in this and aaaaaah
S: ...Excuse me?
U: I'm so sorry, Hinata... This is all my fault...
S: Wait a minute. Please calm down a bit, I have a question. ...Um, why did you bring up Hinata all of a sudden?
U: Oh god... it's my turn next. I'm gonna get tortured and banished to some place nobody's ever heard of...
S: Er, Ui... Could you listen to-
U: But even if I vanish, the truth will never change!
S: What are you even talking about?! All we want to do is ask you a favor...!
S: We really, truly aren't scheming anything... so please don't look at me like that...!
A mysterious voice starts laughing, and says she never gets tired of watching Sakurako and Ui.
Sakurako and Ui panic, and Sakurako asks who this stranger is and how they're here in a secret area.
Hanako steps out into the light as introduces herself as a passing-by Pedestrian A. She's in a swimsuit, because of course she is.
Ui recognizes her as the girl who's rumored to walk around at night in a swimsuit.
Sakurako asks again how Hanako got in when there should be guards. Hanako answers that she knew a secret passage. Ui notices the two know each other and thinks this is proof that the Sisterhood MUST be shady, because they've got ties to a suspicious person.
Sakurako begs Ui not to misunderstand, but Ui asks what else is she supposed to think in a situation like this? Sakurako admits that if she was in Ui's shoes, she'd probably misunderstand too.
U: LET ME TALK TO HINATA! I-I won't yield to your shady group!
S: Again, why are you bringing up Hinata all of a sudden?! Can you truly not believe even a single word I say?!
And then Hinata comes in and apologizes for being late, surprising both Sakurako and Ui.
Hanako defuses the situation with a giant wall of text I'm still reading through
Hanako agrees that Ui copying the scripture without permission was a bit much. But what did Sakurako think would happen when she approached someone as prone to believing in conspiracy theories as Ui the way she did?
If Sakurako keeps inviting misunderstandings like this, the Sisterhood's reputation will never be clean.
In fact, Hinata came to Hanako for help specifically because Ui was so afraid of the Sisterhood.
Sakurako mumbles that Hanako's the shadiest person in the room though. She then protests more loudly she had no intention of scaring Ui, she just needed to tell her something she didn't want others overhearing.
Hanako snickers that if that's the case, Sakurako's really playing into the whole secretive Sisterhood cliche.
Hanako says she has an idea. Since Ui was such a big help to Hinata, and helped stop Sakurako from saying some very unladylike things in front of a crowd (Sakurako has no idea what Hanako's talking about but decides to believe her), she deserves a chance to make up for copying the scripture without permission. If she helps the Sisterhood with something, they'll consider the whole thing water under the bridge.
Sakurako protests that this isn't what she called Ui over for, but Hanako points out that the Sisterhood's been putting a lot of problems on the backburner they really should do something about. Like a certain historic ruin.
Hinata and Ui have no idea what Hanako's talking about, but Sakurako does and is confused why Hanako knows about it.
Hanako assumes the deal's been made and says to leave everything to her.
Cut to Hanako, Koharu, Ui, and Hinata at a beach in swimsuits. Hanako asks (you) to take a photo, while Ui is VERY confused.
(You) ask Hanako what's going on, since she just called you here all of a sudden.
She explains that the Sisterhood discovered some ruins here, and attempted to investigate it. But they failed since they couldn't deciper the text or understand the structures and ended up leaving it as is. But Ui can read the ancient texts and is pretty familiar with archaeology to boot, so she can solve this problem! And then it'll be a happy ending for everyone.
Hinata asks why everyone is in swimsuits. And if Hanako is even wearing a swimsuit, for that matter.
Hanako says The Swimsuit Line. Koharu calls BS.
Koharu has no idea why she's even here and asks Hanako to explain. Hanako obliges and says that since Koharu was so sad about not getting to go to the ocean, she figured she might as well bring Koharu along so they could play.
Koharu groans that she KNEW Hanako just wanted to goof off, so Hanako says to think of it as Koharu being here to guard everyone as an elite member of the Justice Task Force. This is is more palatable to Koharu's ego.
Koharu: Gh... But still, I never thought I'd spend a few days on a deserted island in a swimsuit.
K: ...
K: Wait, d-don't tell me... Is THAT gonna happen? Or maybe THAT?
Hanako: Excuse me?
K: I've only ever read about it in books but... Wait, is that why Hanako-
K: D-DEATH PENALTY! Lewdness is forbidden! PROHIBITED! DEATH PENALTY!!!
H: Hee hee. I don't fully understand, so... why don't you tell me what you're thinking of, Koharu? In full detail.
K: Wh-What are you trying to make me say?!
H: Why don't you tell me what exactly was lewd? Oh, I know... You could tell me with a public demonstration!
K: I-I'm scared now! Why are you more excited than usual today?!
H: Because it's summer.
K: I-I don't get it, but... but stay away! Don't get any closer!
H: Heehee, but this is what you want. Ei!
K: EEEEEEEK! S-Sensei, help! Ghhh, stop it...
Sensei: Looks like they're having fun.
Ui has no idea how she ended up under the sun in a swimsuit. But then she realizes this is her chance to dig up some secrets about the Sisterhood's predecessores, and maybe even find a weakness!
Hanako interrupts her monologue to ask what Kozeki senpai (she says this very threateningly) is talking about. Ui flinches back.
Hinata tries to break the ice by saying that this whole thing should go smoothly, and that Ui can definitely do this. Ui is blinded by her pure emotions and freaks out, which scares Hinata and makes her wonder if she did something wrong. This gets Ui to stop and reassure Hinata it's nothing.
Ui catches her breath and aplogizes to Hinata and (you) for her selfish actions getting the two of you wrapped up in this. (You) tell her it's fine, but that in the future she should ask you about these things first. (You) can also say that it's fine because Ui's always helping you.
Hinata agrees with both things you can say, and adds that being able to help Ui makes her happy. Her purity makes Ui gag, causing Hinata to panic again.
Sensei: Those two get along great but... their personalities are total opposites.
After a bit more banter, Ui gets down to business. She asks if (you) brought the stuff she asked for, and explains it's a bunch of useful stuff for the investigation. Dictionaries, paper, homemade wadding, etc. She apologizes that it's probably pretty heavy since there's so much stuff.
Hinata offers to carry it, and does so with one hand. Ui is stunned. Hinata thinks it's because she's being rude and should be holding the bag properly with two hands, but Ui says it's not that. Ui would just have dragged it behind her anyways.
Ui has one more thing to tell Hinata. She preemptively apologizes for it, and asks Hinata not to take it personally. Could Hinata please stay about 2 meters away from Ui for a bit?
Hinata: ...Huh?
Ui tells everyone it's time to get going, and that they should start by making a base. She sets off, and reminds Hinata to keep 2 meters away one more time.
H: U-Ui...? Ui, why... Why...?
(You) think Hinata will get used to it. (You) then ask if Koharu's fine with getting dragged here all of a sudden, and she says it's fine. She thought Hanako called her here just to goof off, but it seems like it's a proper investigation. She doesn't really get the situation, but it seems important. So as a JTF elite, it's only natural for her to help.
Koharu: ...But an uninhabited island... everyone in swimsuits... and not only is Sensei here, but Hanako too...
K: ...
K: DEATH PENALTY!
Sensei: Huh?!
K: I'll keep an eye on you to make sure you don't get up to any funny business.
K: As an elite member of the Justice Task Force, I won't let you lay a finger on anyone!
S: B-Be gentle...
You all go to the nearest ruins. Hinata can't tell if this is what you're looking for, but Hanako confirms it is. It may be severely weathered, but there's no mistaking the stone pattern. Koharu tries to pretend she knows this stuff too by agreeing, causing Hanako to tease her.
(You) notice Ui looking around, and ask if she's noticed anything. She's not sure, but given the mazelike structure she thinks this is probably an old Justina training or testing ground. Maybe both.
Ui walks in on her own, and the rest of you follow. While observing your surroundings, (you) turn to Koharu and comment that if she grips your sleeve any tighter, she'll stretch it. And weren't you all supposed to split up?
Koharu spills her spaghetti saying she has to keep an eye on (you) and Hanako. And there's only one of her, so there's no choice but to stick with you. She doesn't want to be alone in some historic ruins, after all. Why (you) instead of Hanako? D-Don't ask lewd questions you pervert!!
Suddenly Ui stumbles in. (You) ask if she's seen anyone else, and she says she ran into Hinata earlier. Ui wonders what was the point of making a maze like this.
Ui then asks about Koharu, and (you) can either say you just met up or that (you) asked Koharu to stick with you.
Ui understands, and prepares to leave. (You) ask if she can stay with you too, but she apologizes and says she'll stay on her own. She doesn't have the guts to work alongside someone she just met.
After she leaves, Koharu relaxes. (You) tell her that Ui isn't a bad person and not to be nervous, which causes Koharu to blow up and say she's not the kind of person who gets nervous- Hinata walks in and Koharu screams.
Hinata greets (you) and Koharu. Koharu is very nervous in her response.
You all continue investigating the maze, and run into each other numerous times.
(You) decide it's time to go back to the point Ui marked as the meetup spot. You praise Koharu for doing her best. She says she's not THAT tired.
(You) ask Koharu if she was able to talk to everyone, and she says she's not bad with strangers! She properly greeted everyone when they met! They met a lot of times, after all
You hear someone coming. Koharu decides that this time she'll be the one to give a greeting, and runs off to meet whoever it is, asking (you) to watch.
Koharu: H-H...
K: Hello- HUH?!
It's a Justina council member in a swimsuit.
Koharu screams.
After the fight, Koharu is tired. (You) ask if she's all right, and she starts to say she is when a screeching sound causes her to panic again. She can't get up, so (you) give her a piggyback ride back to where everyone else is.
At the meeting spot, the others are debating if they go look for you when (you) show up.
(You) tell them about the mimesis in a swimsuit you saw. Hinata is surprised, Hanako supposes it's possible given where you are, and Ui is confused nobody is commenting on the mimesis being in a swimsuit.
Hanako has bigger fish to fry, though. She approaches Koharu on your back and starts teasing her about what (you) and Koharu must've gotten up to that led to Koharu clinging to your back so hard.
Koharu: N-No! Nononononono! Believe me, you're wrong! It's really not like that!
K: I-I just couldn't stand up anymore...!
Hanako: ...Oh my.
K: Not like that! I mean it! Really! It wasn't like that!
K: IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!!
At the next ruin, Ui recognizes it as a storehouse of some sort. Though no ordinary one.
She recommends splitting up again, though not as far as last time since mimesises might pop up. She advises everyone to stay within shouting distance, then heads off on her own again.
Hinata doesn't think it's safe for Ui to be alone. Hanako looks at (you).
Sensei: Leave this to me.
Ui is musing over how rain must have dripped in and eroded the floor over time when (you) come up and surprise her. She quickly figures out you were worried over how she was off on her own, and apologizes.
A bit later, Ui thanks (you). She wasn't sure about this trip at first, but it's not like she hates ruins. In fact, she finds them calming. (You) comment you thought Ui would be bad with scary places, and while Ui agrees there's lots of things she's bad with (she specifically notes Sensei isn't one of them), but she likes dark and gloomy places.
Ui's bad with overly bright places. All she needs is enough light to read a book.
But even more important to her than brightness and darkness is history. It's the only thing about the outside world that interests her, as books aren't the only places to find stories. She likes anything that makes her feel the weight of history.
(You) comment that everything has a history. Ui agrees, and notes that in the same way everything has a story.
Ui starts to rant about how outside people should appreciate dark and gloomy places like this more, before catching herself and remembering that not all outside people are the same. People like Hinata, and even Hanako are helping Ui out. Not that she understands why.
Ui thinks her personality isn't gonna be fixed anytime soon, but she has to try to address her biases.
Ui: I think that, and yet...
U: ...Good grief, why am I always like this...
U: I... know my personality isn't great. And I really do feel like I want to fix it.
U: So Sensei...
U: ...Whenever I make a mistake, please tell me.
Ui says it's fine to scold her, because otherwise she'll never notice these things.
Ui apologizes if that sounded weird, but what she meant is that a teacher and a student both have their roles. And Ui thinks she has it in her to listen to a teacher's words.
Ui notices she's been talking for a while, and recommends they stop here. They didn't come here to play around after all.
Looking at the surroundings again, Ui thinks this place must've been important. There'd be no reason to put such complex structures and intricate details otherwise. Maybe it was a strategy room? Or an underground base?
A sound interrupts Ui's thoughts, scaring her a bit. Then she hears it again, and wonders if Hinata broke something again. Hinata screws up a lot, after all. (You) scold her for immediately assuming the worst of someone else, and she embarassedly notes it didn't take long for (you) to get mad at her.
Ui tries to justify her comment at first, but decides to just apologize. It'd be better to go check what the noise was instead of standing around complaining, after all.
Ui and (you) reach the source of the sound. Ui tries t call out to whoever's there, and it turns out to be another mimesis.
Elsewhere, the others hear the sound of gunfire. Hanako notices it's coming from the ruins, and wonders if something happened to Ui and (you). Both of you then come rushing over, Ui screaming for Hinata.
Hanako takes the chance to tease the two of you for being so sweaty and flustered.
Ui points at the Mimesis chasing you, and Hinata immediately takes action. She pulls out her grenade launcher. Koharu is surprised that was also in the bag, while Hanako tries to warn Hinata not to use something so destructive here- aaaand Hinata already blew everything up.
Hanako wonders what face Sakurako will make when she hears about this. Meanwhile Ui faints, much to Hinata's distress.
The next spot is overgrown with lemon trees. (You) notice it hasn't been maintained in a while. (You) also notice you're lost.
Hanako runs into you shortly after. She is also lost, and agrees that there are way too many trees here. It's more like a forest than a plantation.
(You) ask her why she knew it was a plantation, and she says it was her intuition. She notes from your face that (you) don't believe her, and admits she's still trying to figure things out herself.
Hanako asks if (you) have any suspicions about this investigation. She's sure you have questions about this island, or why Hanako brought Koharu along, so why haven't you asked?
Sensei: It's true that I'm curious, but... I believe in you, Hanako.
Hanako is touched, and promises to explain once everything is over.
After a pause, (you) continue and say that even so, you hope Hanako won't keep things like this to herself. Or does she not trust (you)?
Hanako: ...
H: Heehee...
H: ...I'm not sure what to do if you tell me that.
H: I guess the ball's in my court now, hm?
H: I'm not really used to baring my feelings like this, but...
H: If you're that concerned about me, I suppose I'll do as you say this time.
H: ...It's summer, after all.
Hanako theorizes that (you) think she set this all up for Ui and Koharu's sake. Why else would you so calmly believe in her even though she hasn't explained anything?
This place is basically a resort. Maybe this investigation is just in-name only, and everyone is really here just to have fun in swimsuits. It's a plan to address Ui's problems and Koharu's hopes in one shot.
Hanako says your guess is mostly right. But what if... what if Ui and Koharu weren't the only ones who needed this outing?
Hanako admits that she's a high schooler too. No matter what her surroundings might think of her, at heart she's an ordinary girl. Sometimes she wants to just let her worries go and have a good time with everyone.
Hanako: Saying it was for their sake... was just an excuse I made to myself.
H: When actually, inside my heart I was the one who wanted this the most.
[cue CGs from Trinity Summer 1]
H: ...I wanted to go to the ocean with everyone.
H: Heehee. That's really it.
(You) don't say anything at first, which makes Hanako nervous. She wonders if you think this isn't like her. Finally (you) say you're happy Hanako has gotten comfortable enough she's willing to talk about stuff like this.
H: ...
H: Is that so?
H: Though... If I think about it, I guess so.
Hanako then points out that right now, the two of you are by yourselves on a deserted island. This is a rare opportunity, and it would be a waste to spend it on the same jokes or small talk you could do anywhere.
H: ...Sensei.
H: For now, can I... Can I, even just a little...
H: Can I be selfish?
Sensei: Of course.
H: ...Oh?
H: Are you sure... it's okay to answer back so casually?
H: What if... it's a heavier burden than you think it is?
Sensei: It's summer, after all. / You're a high school girl, aren't you?
H: ...Hee hee.
H: Then can I look forward to what's next?
H: ...Did you know? I've got a better memory than I look.
H: I'll never forget the promise you made today.
(You) walk around the lemon plantation with Hanako for a while. When you get back to the base, because it was just the two of you Koharu repeatedly declares the death penalty.

(You) walk around the lemon plantation with Hanako for a while. When you get back to the base, because it was just the two of you Koharu repeatedly declares the death penalty.
Hinata is at a lighthouse sorting things out. There's more stuff and it's messier than she expected.
She notices (you) coming near, and is confused because she thought (you) were with the others. (You) reply that you were worried about Hinata being by herself, and offer to help.
Hinata's fine since she normally organizes stuff anyways. But she supposes from a teacher's standpoint, it must seem dangerous. (You) reply it's not from a teacher's standpoint, you were personally worried. This makes Hinata happy.
Hinata accepts your help, though she says to leave the big stuff to her. Skip ahead to when you're done.
Everyone else is still investigating inside, so the two of you are just waiting around for them now.
Hinata hears a weird sound and goes to look, and finds a bunch of mimesises. (You) recommend getting the others, but Hinata doesn't want to interrupt their investigation so she decides to take them all on alone.
(You) are very confused, but Hinata says lots of stuff happen at the church so she's used to uneven battles like this. (You) decide to just go with it.
After the battle, Hinata's glad it was easier than expected. Then she notices you making a weird face and panics because she thinks you're injured. She checks (you) for injuries, and is glad to see you're fine because she wouldn't have been able to face the others if she let you get hurt.
Then the others enter the scene, because they heard explosions. Hanako is glad to see (you) and Hinata are safe.
Hinata tries to pretend nothing happened and that everything's fine. Ui points out they could hear the explosions from inside, and wonders if there's something Hinata's not telling her. (You) step in to cover for Hinata, and Hanako puts the pieces together. She throws you two a bone and convinces/drags Ui and Koharu back to the investigation. (You) thank her for the help.
Afterwards, Hinata wonders if she should've lied at all. She didn't mean anything bad, but hiding things is unforgivable for a sister. (You) tell her it'll be fine because you're her accomplice. This cheers her up, and she agrees this can be a secret between just the two of you.
Then you take a short break with Hinata.
*imagine liking Hinata and getting this low effort scene after Koharu, Ui, and Hanako's
After investigating all the notable spots on the map, you all return to the beach.
Ui is thinking over what you've all seen already, and (you) ask her if she's stuck on something. Ui reviews everywhere you've been so far with you. Everything is old, but definitely built in the Trinity style.
Meanwhile the other three are watching. Koharu notices Ui is acting differently from when she arrived. Hinata says that when Ui gets into the zone like this, she's like a different person. Hanako wonders if this is what Ui is really like.
Back with Ui, she comments that before the investigation she expected this to be a jail or an execution site. Hinata has no idea how to respond to this, so Ui apologizes again.
But anyways, Ui feels like this whole investigation was a bit of an anticlimax. (You) recommend investigating more, and while Ui doubts your group will be able to find anything she agrees that if you give up you definitely won't find anything.
Ui recommends changing tracks. Instead of wondering what this island was for, think of the reason why it was closed off.
Hanako agrees that it's weird that the Justina council, famous for being so fastidious about their records, would abandon this island and purge it from their records.
Ui agrees, and then points out something she thinks is weird. The training ground, the storehouse, and the lighthouse make sense. But why does this island have lemons?
Ui considers it more, then pulls out the map you've all been using. Doesn't the lemon part seem out of place? Hanako agrees that it's not the best place to harvest lemons. For that matter, that lemons aren't natural to this island so they must have been brought in from the outside. But why, Ui asks, when lemons can't be used as a staple food?
Ui figures it out. She takes out a burner and places the map over an open flame. (You) worry she'll burn herself, Hanako is impressed with her boldness, and Koharu and Hinata freak out over if the map will get burnt.
Ui's guess was right: something was written on the map with lemon juice. Two new locations reveal themselves.
Ui notes how nobody uses invisible ink to hide information anymore, but since this is an old map she thought it was worth a shot.
Hanako figures this was never found before because nobody would want to risk burning the map. Ui is annoyed at how she had to do it at all, and wishes whoever did this thought about the map's feelings.
Ui sets off to the next destination. Hinata chases after her, very impressed and happy that she can still help. Ui reminds her to stay 2 meters away. Koharu, Hanako, and (you) follow.
The first secret location is a cave behind a waterfall. Hanako notes that if you didn't already know it was there, it's unlikely you'd ever find it.
Hinata does a quick roll call. Koharu and Hanako are fine, but you're tired. Hinata apologizes for having (you) follow her up such a steep trail at such a fast pace.
Then Hinata notices Ui isn't there. Enter Ui, panting and wheezing. She barely makes it to everyone before collapsing.
You all take a break for Ui to recover, something she thanks you for. She complains that she came here to explore ruins, not to mountaineer. But she's excited now that she's at this secret spot, and starts wondering again if she'll find a torture room, execution site, etc. Finally, she'll know the Sisterhood's secrets!
(You) remind Ui to stop. She tries to change stances and hope she doesn't find anything at all, but just ends up making things awkward. (You) reassure her that this is just Ui's first day at this, she'll get better at it.
Once you walk inside the cave, (you) notice Ui thinking about something. (You) ask her what's up, only for her to say she can't hear (you) over the water.
Hanako takes advantage of the noise to say some censored lines , then asks if Koharu wants to try. Koharu is not amused.
Later on, the group finds a wooden box in the cave. Hanako observes it's the size of a human body, so it's probably...
Ui: ...A coffin.
This scares Hinata and Koharu, so Ui has them wait a bit further out. They're gonna have to investigate the box, even if it is a real coffin, and Ui doesn't want to hurt Hinata by making her disrespect the dead.
Koharu and Hinata agree and leave. Then Hanako asks if it's okay if she's still here. Ui says she figured Hanako had the mental fortitude to handle this. Hanako wonders what exactly Ui thinks of her. But yes, she does.
Opening the box ends up spawning a bunch of mimesises. Hearing the noise, Hinata and Koharu return. (You) order everyone to get outside.
You all managed to escape. Koharu is tired, Hinata and Hanako are fine, and Ui is about to collapse. (You) ask if everyone is safe.
Ui: Pant, pant... pant.. Why... am I... running so much...
U: Why am I trying so hard for something like that...
U: Pant... Pant...
U: Huh...?
U: ...Oh. You want to know what I mean by "something like that"? How to explain this...
Hanako tries to bring up what they saw in the waterfall cave, but Ui wants to talk about something else first. She points out that if you look at the two newly revealed spots on the map together, you can figure out- she's interrupted by a loud sound.
Ui wonders if it's more mimesis, but it was just Hinata tripping. (You) ask if she's all right, and Hinata says she's fine. But she's curious why there was a hole where she was walking. She then notices something is at her feet and finds a box. Hanako notices it's old, and wonders if it was buried in the hole Hinata tripped on.
Hinata tries to open the box, something Ui protests since going by what's happened so far, just touching the box will- a whole bunch of mimesis spawn in again. Even more than usual, and there's a new kind too.
Hanako observes that this box must be very important. Your group has finally found the answer, though you won't get to look inside the box until you win this fight.
With the fight over, Ui opens the box and... there's nothing inside.
Hinata wonders why an empty box was buried. Hanako answers that when this box was buried, it had a purpose. Ui agrees, and points out that if you look closely there's a bit of paper at the edge of the box.
That paper likely had some meaning, but it wasn't treated to withstand the passing of time. Ui thinks it could've weathered away, while Hanako thinks maybe some bugs got in and ate it.
Ui goes back to what she was saying before the fight. The box inside the waterfall cave was a safe that hid personal belongings away from the eyes of the main cathedral. So it's likely the other hidden spot on the map your group hasn't gone to yet is another secret base of sorts.
And if you look at the spot between those points, you'll end up at this box. Ui and Hanako think it's a time capsule.
With that all said, Ui has a request for everyone.
Back at Trinity, (you) and Hanako are explaining what you found on the island to Sakurako. That there were two hidden spots on the map, and that the island was initially used as a training ground but probably got closed down because there were students playing around on it.
Sakurako's a little surprised to hear that her senpai from so long ago occasionally let their hair down and screwed around. But then again, it's hard for anyone to always resist temptations.
The Sisterhood will need some time to figure out what to do with the island, but in the meantime Sakurako thanks you for a job well done.
She's very impressed with how quickly the investigation was finished, and notes that the magician of the old library lives up to the rumors.
Sakurako: But...
S: How to put this.
S: I know I shouldn't harbor feelings like this, but...
S: We've repeatedly tried to investigate this island, but never found anything. And yet you were able to do it so easily...
S: ...This is a joyful event, and yet I feel frustrated. It seems I need more training as a sister.
As promised, Sakurako will overlook Ui copying the scripture. But she has a question for Hanako. And not as a member of the Sisterhood either, just a regular question.
Sakurako doesn't intend to mean anything bad by this, but she gets the feeling everyone was rolling around in Hanako's palm from the beginning. That Hanako knew the true purpose of the ruins from the beginning. Sakurako is sure Hanako had only the best of intentions, but why did she go so far out of her way to help Ui?
Hanako wonders how she should answer, and decides to say it was just a whim. And that the real answer isn't as dramatic as Sakurako is thinking. Sakurako decides to accept Hanako's answer and not ask any further.
Sakurako asks if everything written on the report (you) gave her is true. Hanako asks in return if Sakurako is implying she doubts (you). Sakurako stammers that she didn't mean anything rude, it's just something she likes to say.
Sakurako thinks it's a shame that the map was lost. Hanako apologizes, saying she should have kept a closer eye on it, but Sakurako says it's fine. Nobody expected a battle.
Anyways, thanks to your group's efforts, the investigation is over. And with the new information uncovered, maybe it's time to make a new map.
Sakurako promises the Sisterhood will repay this favor one day, then takes her leave. Hanako and (you) leave too.
In the hallway, (you) ask Hanako if this is okay. Surely you could at least tell Sakurako to truth. Hanako reminds you that everyone agreed to do this, and that you're all accomplices regarding the you-know-what you buried you-know-where.
Hanako remembers that before, (you) asked her what she thought of Ui. Well now that Hanako's spent time with her, she thinks the two of them could get along. Enough that Hanako would like to walk around the campus at night in a swimsuit with her. (You) ask Hanako not to bother Ui too much.
Enter Mari, who recognized Hanako and came over. She greets (you) too when she notices you. Seeing you two together, Mari figures you must be here for work. Hanako says basically yeah, but this particular trip was done for personal reasons... like wanting to "get along" with Mari.
Mari says that isn't what she meant. Hanako then asks if that means Mari is implying she actually doesn't want to get along with Hanako at all.
Mari: No, that's not it at all! Please, come whenever you want. I'll always be waiting for you... and of course, for you too, Sensei.
M: Th-Those are my true feelings...!
Hanako laughs, and says she was just teasing Mari. She understands what Mari meant, and while she's busy today she'll come again another day. Excited, Mari bids you both a good day and leaves.
Sensei: Mari seemed very happy.
H: Hee hee, she did.
H: To be honest, I feel a little regretful that Mari associates with someone like me... but when she smiles like that, I know she's genuinely happy.
H: Heehee... It's because you're here, I suppose. In many ways.
H: With that said...
H: If Mari ever cries, it's aaaaall your fault, okay?
S: What does that have to do with anything?! / Don't make Mari walk around in a swimsuit, okay?!
Hanako laughs and says it's time for you two to go. You're both busy today, after all.
At the Old Library, Hanako gives Ui a "tadaima". Ui, unamused, responds that Hanako doesn't live here. And that there's already a dangerous person here anywa- a loud sound cuts Ui off.
Ui: Hinata...! Be careful!
U: Don't knock over the bookshelves! What are you gonna do if the girls get hurt?!
U: ...
U: A-And you could get hurt too...
Hinata apologizes, and says that with so much stuff around it's hard to walk without hitting something. But not to worry, because Hinata is confident she's tough enough to not get hurt. Ui mumbles that isn't really the issue here.
Hinata is worried about Ui since she's always the only one in the Old Library, so she'd like to lend a hand with organizing.
U: ABSOLUTELY. NOT.
Ui goes on a rant about how there's too many people in here and she's at her limit. Hanako tries to console her by saying you'll all leave as soon as the conversation is done.
Hanako tells Ui how the talk with Sakurako went, and how Ui is in the clear. Ui is surprised the famously shady Sisterhood really just let the matter drop. Then she remembers her manners and thanks (you) and Hanako.
Ui asks about the time capsule, and Hanako explains she apologized about the map and left the time capsule out of the story entirely. The Sisterhood shouldn't be able to find it. In fact, nobody but Ui should be able to find it considering she put the map in the time capsule and buried it in its initial spot.
Hanako asks again if Ui is okay with this. The time capsule was a precious find, after all, and Hanako figured Ui would want ot bring it back and study it. You could call what Ui did blasphemy, in a way.
Ui groans at having to explain everything, and is about to complain about outside people again when she catches herself.
Ui explains that she's a librarian, not an archaeologist. She respects the will of her books, even if that means not recording them in history. And in the first place, relics don't exist solely to become history future generations study.
Ui thinks that time capsule had the duty of representing the memories and feelings of the people who left it behind.
Because the training ground got shut down, the people who buried the time capsule could never go back for it. And even if they had brought it with them, it would've been confiscated from them during inspections.
But even if nobody ever sees it again, it still represents precious memories. That's its mission, its duty. Digging it up and putting it in a safe or museum would miss the point.
Ui admits that as an investigation team, they really should've reported the time capsule. Letting the time capsule complete its duty is just Ui acting selfishly.
U: But... I think that even if that girl is alone forever from now on, she won't be lonely.
Sensei: ...The parchment will last a long time, after all. / Because now it's with a friend from the same era.
What Ui's really curious about is why Hinata agreed with Ui's plan. Isn't she bothered about telling lies? Hinata says not to worry, she wasn't just swept along by the rest of the group.
Hinata still things lies are fundamentally bad. But if you ask your own heart and it doesn't think it's shameful, then it can be forgiven.
Sakurako says it a lot. Members of the Sisterhood may come in contact with various scriptures and commandments, but when you're making a choice and aren't sure what to do, those books should never be more than a support. What's really important is your heart. It's essential that you always confront yourself.
Hinata felt the same as Ui about the time capsule. And since she was following her heart, there's nothing to worry about.
Ui understands now. Hinata hopes this also means Ui will be less paranoid about the Sisterhood, but Ui says that's different. Hinata is just too pure to be allowed to know the truth. The Sisterhood is clearly up to something!
Ui starts another paranoid rant before she once again catches herself and apologizes.
Hanako says it's about time for everyone to go. Ui stops her, causing Hanako to teasingly ask if Ui is lonely after all.
Ui says that's not it, she just has a gift for everyone: iced americano. Because they all had to go through a lot of trouble thanks to her, so she had to give some kind of thanks.
Sensei: Thanks, I'll take it. / You're really trying your hardest.
Ui: Wh-What are you grinning like that for?! If you've taken it, then hurry up and get out of here!
U: Get out of here, right now! All of you! Immediately!!!
Hanako: Okay~.
Hanako: Let's meet again, Ui.
S: You must be tired too, so take a nice rest.
Everyone leaves. Ui is finally alone again.
U: ...Sigh.
U: They're just misunderstanding me... Why are more and more people coming in...
U: Ugh... Just thinking about their faces makes me... What a pain. Trouble just keeps piling on...
Cut to the pool at Trinity.
Koharu: S-Sensei...? Why'd you call me out here all of a sudden... I-Is something wrong?
K: And you told me to bring the swimsuit I wore on that island...
K: Wh-What is it?!
K: Say something! If you don't, it's the death penalty!
K: W-Wait, is this THAT...? It's got to be, isn't it?! It can't be anything else!
Sensei: I think you'll like it too. / Don't worry, it'll be fine.
K: Eek...!
K: S-So you've finally shown your true colors?! But... Doing it in a place like this is just too muc-
Hifumi: Oh, Sensei! Koharu! Over here!
K: ...?
K: Isn't that...

Hanako, Azusa, and Hifumi are all at the pool too in their swimsuits.
A: Looks like you made it in time. I was worried you got ambushed, so I'm glad you're safe.
Hi: Azusa... Ambushes don't happen at pools.
Hanako: Heehee, we've been waiting.
Ha: Now it's time to go all out and make summer memories with everyone.
Ha: The Make-up Work Club has this pool reserved the whole day... Thanks for that, Sensei.
K: ...Huh?
K: What's... going on?
K: ...S-Sensei?
S: Isn't this your first time swimming with the others? / ...Do you like it?
K: ...Uh, um...
K: Yes.
K: ...Eheh.
K: ...Th-Thank you.
