What Is The 'DESRET' ?

Desret is a post-apocalyptic universe inspired by various movies, books, and games. The setting of this universe begins in the year 2023 when a meteorite crashed into Earth, releasing a strange substance that affected plant life and the soil. The world has transformed ever since.

Timeline 2023 - 2099

2023		A meteorite veered off course from a comet shower and crashed into Earth. The meteorite hit the region of Georgia, annihilating the entire nation along with surrounding lands and territories. Simultaneously, it vaporized all the water in Lake Cátxpi and altered the Earth's surface landscape after the impact.
2024		For the first time, scientists collected a new 'substance' found among the rare vegetation growing around the disaster site. They found no other impact of this 'substance' except that it easily transmitted through plants.
2026		The 'substance' was named Delta. Simultaneously, a new evolved version of HIV, called HIV-E, emerged. It was a hundred times more challenging to treat and could only be transmitted through saliva and the air, causing a global crisis, disrupting human connections, triggering a food crisis, and impacting the economy.
2028		Tens of millions of people flocked to the borders seeking humanitarian aid, and after two years, the main nations officially surrendered. Organizations emerged to protect themselves during this crisis. The virus causing HIV-E was identified to be a strain that arose due to the melting of ice sheets that had been frozen for tens of thousands of years.
2029-2038		Money was invested in weapons instead of relief efforts. Discrimination, racial prejudice occurred. Anyone could carry the HIV-E virus. Some medical organizations began actively searching for curative serums. A few small groups, tribes built out of desperation, sought redemption through prayer.
2045		Crises and diseases made humanity completely overlook the existence of Delta, allowing this substance to thrive, spreading widely across the northern hemisphere of the globe. Delta is abundant in vegetation, especially fungi, and is transmitted through spores, pollen, and even water. Humans were quickly infected, and the genetic changes occurred gradually, unnoticed by anyone.
2046		The fertile Delta regions are flourishing. A new united nation has emerged, ready to sit down for negotiations and maintain a bloc of the wealthiest nations. Developing or impoverished countries are completely overlooked.
2048		War broke out once again as an extremist organization inadvertently gained control of a missile system by assassinating high-ranking officials of a developed nation. They have unleashed a new breed: 'mutants.'
2049-2050		'Mutants' were quickly discovered, found to be caused by Delta molecules altering human genes. Tens of thousands of individuals with this element in their bodies were captured and subjected to inhumane experiments. Project 'DEWE' was created with the goal of forming a living weapon military force.
2051		The previous asteroid impact had a significant impact on Earth's geological layers. Without warning, many volcanoes erupted unexpectedly. The world, once whole, was now fragmented, further dividing humanity. Numerous lands were obliterated, replaced by molten lakes, burning houses, and forests that continued to blaze.
2057		The DEWE project has officially been canceled after a massacre caused by the very experimental subjects it created. Simultaneously, HRS announced that Delta has a high likelihood of transforming humans into monsters. The government has started efforts to prevent and treat, removing Delta cells from the citizens' bodies.
2058-2099		A mass exodus occurs as the danger of Delta becomes better understood. Humanity seeks to escape locations where the flora and fauna have been transformed by Delta. The divide among humans becomes more pronounced. New cultures emerge, and societal structures change depending on each culture.
