Anti-Denuvo Sanctuary

🎮 F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) 🎮

📌 Table of Contents

Q: Why free activations?

A: For us, Denuvo is a challenge we overcome together. We believe in supporting each other and sharing our games freely. It's also a way to share our passion for video games and give back for all the community-supported games we've enjoyed.

Q: What games do you have?

A: Check out our full list of available games here. Please note that this list represents all the games we currently offer.

Q: Where can I find general rules and useful commands?

A:

  • Read the #Rules to avoid getting banned.
  • Use the !help command for a list of useful commands.

Q: Why can't I see certain channels?

A: This happens on three occasions:

  1. As a new member, you'll be given the "Newbie" role. After 12 hours, you can get the gamer role by successfully completing the quiz in #Verify channel.
    • If you fail the quiz, you'll need to wait 2 hours before you can try again.
  2. If you have the "gamer" role, panels might be temporarily hidden. They should become available after an announcement in #Tickets.
  3. If you have the "limited" role, it means you’re on a 48-hour cooldown because you recently activated a game. You can use /info to see how much time is left on your cooldown.

Q: When can I get my game activated? When do you announce panel openings?

A: We separate our waves into two categories: the Boomin Hot Wave (exclusive + trendy games) and the Classic Hits Wave (all other games). You can refer to the !schedule command to see what games are available in both waves and when panels open. Make sure to pick up your roles from the #Channels & Roles section so you’ll get notifications when the ticket announcement is posted.

If your game doesn’t show up even when you’re on the right wave time, it usually means the tokens for that wave are already gone, and you’ll need to try again later.

Q: How can I download games?

A:

  • We recommend using our official Cirno Downloader GUI, available in the #Downloader channel (or from #Resources). For a broader selection, you can also download games from trusted sources such as cs.rin, Gamebounty, and others.
    • Important: Always check the game version carefully. Older versions can cause issues during activation. We advise checking SteamDB for version information and always trying to download the latest available version.
  • EA and Ubisoft clean files are also available to download.
  • If you are using Linux, please let staff know to be granted a role for Linux-specific channels and refer to #Linux-Guides.

The use of Steam tools or any unauthorized software is strictly prohibited, so be sure to avoid them.

Q: Is the Cirno Downloader (or other tools) malware?

A: If our tools were malicious, trustworthy sources like FMHY, GameBounty, and others would not trust or recommend our services.

Additionally, our system utilizes a non-identifiable Hardware ID (HWID). This HWID contains no personal information and is used strictly to prevent abuse of our free service by identifying and catching alt/scam accounts, ensuring fair access for everyone.

Q: Are DLCs available in games which we offer?

A: Most of the games we provide come with their respective DLCs. However, some games might be missing specific DLCs, such as Dragon's Dogma 2 or Resident Evil 4 (which includes the main DLC "Separate Ways" but might not have cosmetics or other minor add-ons, which are generally considered less essential anyways). If you're looking for specific DLC information for a game, feel free to ask a mod (Sanctuary Keeper) for details.

Q: Can I play online?

A: No, this is an offline activation. You CANNOT play online.
except for Hello Kitty, that is ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

Q: How does the requesting process work?

A:

Step 1: Preparation

  1. Pick ONE game from #Gamelist and note its platform (Steam/Ubisoft/EA).
  2. Download your chosen game using Cirno Downloader GUI from #Downloader. These are base files needed for activation. For EA games, refer to EA Games and needed files under the #Resources section.

Step 2: Proof of Download

  1. Take ONE screenshot showing:
    • Content of the game folder (root directory).
    • Properties of the game folder.
    • Windows Update Blocker (WUB) showing the RED SHIELD.
  2. Without this screenshot, no activation.

Step 3: Submitting a Ticket

Newbies cannot request games for the first 12 hours. After 12 hours, you can take the quiz in #Verify channel to receive the "Gamer" role.

  • Once your waiting period is over, go to the Activation Corner and pick your category:
    • #Self-Serve: For Steam, EA, or Ubisoft games (all free games).
    • #New-Donator: If a newly added game is in its donor period and you're donating NOW/haven't used your donator privileges for it.
  • Submit a ticket for your game. Choose carefully; picking the wrong game means a cooldown.
  • If in the queue, use /queue unqueue or click "Opened by accident" (this incurs a 10-hour cooldown).
    • If you're within the ticket, the only option available for closing it is "Opened by accident."
  • Once active, upload your screenshot (content + size/WUB) and follow ticket instructions.

Step 4: Enjoy & Review

  • There's a 2-day (48-hour) cooldown before you can activate another game.
  • Leave a review in #Reviews.
  • For self-serve, tag @Tsukii & @Denuvo Sanctuary. For other tickets, credit your Caretaker.

Q: Are Windows Updates going to mess up my Activation?

A: Yes, major Windows Updates can break the activation. However, small security updates generally do not.

  • Use Windows Update Blocker (WUB) to prevent updates. Ensure WUB shows the "RED SHIELD."
  • If you have a Windows update downloaded before activation, please finish any pending updates first.
  • Beyond standard system updates, certain actions may affect your game's activation status:
    • Altering game-related program files.
    • Modifying system firmware configurations.
    • Changing primary computer components.
    • Abnormally terminating game applications.
    • Applying game updates.
    • Removing game client software.

Generally, driver updates are unlikely to cause issues.

For games requiring specific platforms:

  • For titles associated with Steam or Ubisoft, ensure the Steam client is installed prior to game activation.
  • For titles associated with EA, ensure the EA client is installed prior to game activation.

Q: If I update my game through the downloader, do I need to activate it again?

A: Yes. Updating the game will reset the activation, so you’ll need to activate it again. To avoid having to repeat this, it’s better to stick with your current version instead of updating it frequently.

Q: Can I activate more than one game at the same time?

A: No. You can only activate one game every 48 hours. Activating multiple games at once can cause all tokens to break, so it’s safer to play one game at a time.

Using alternate accounts to bypass cooldown periods will result in an immediate ban, and no excuses will be accepted.

Q: My Activation Broke! What do I do?

A:

  1. Go to #Support.
  2. Post a screenshot of the error.
  3. Tell us EXACTLY what happened. The more details you provide, the faster we can help.

Q: What are the staff roles (Sanctuary Keeper / Caretaker / Guardian / Management)?

A: We have several staff roles ensuring the smooth operation of the Sanctuary:

  • Sanctuary Keepers : These are our dedicated chat moderators and voluntary helpers. Our Neo Keepers, a subset of Sanctuary Keepers, focus specifically on the #Neo-Chat channel to assist newly joined members (newbies).
  • Caretakers : These are our game activators who manage the Denuvo game activation process.
  • Guardians : These individuals handle decisions not covered by Keepers or Caretakers and provide higher-level support.
  • Management : Pretty self-explanatory.

Q: What are the "Donator" and "Ascendant Donator" roles, and how do they benefit our community members?

A: These roles are our way of recognizing and rewarding members who contribute to expanding and supporting our shared game library.

  • Donator Role (Permanent with New & Old Access):
    • You become a Donator permanently by making a one-time donation (donations start at $1 minimum).
    • New Donator Access: Your initial donation grants you temporary, exclusive early access to one new game release during its special donor period.
    • Old Donator Access: After the temporary (1-2 hours) 'New Donator' period for a specific game ends, your permanent 'Donator' role grants free access to any leftover tokens for future new releases, or any other game in our catalog when public activation panels open up for everyone.
  • Ascendant Donator Role (Contribution-Based):
    • This role is for those who directly contribute games to our community's library. You can achieve this by:
      • Donating a game key to one of our accounts.
      • Gifting a game directly to us.
      • Purchasing a game for yourself, then creating and providing us access to alternate family-share accounts, which allows us to generate tokens for other users.
    • Benefits: Beyond the "Ascendant Donator" role, your contribution directly translates into rewards. The more games you share, the greater your benefit. For instance, sharing a Steam account with 2 games will earn you 2 free activations to the #New-Donator panel. Ascendant Donors are the pillars of the community we aim to build, and through them, our vision of sharing thrives.

In short, Donators financially support new content and gain priority, while Ascendant Donators enrich our library by sharing their own games, benefiting everyone.

Q: Why is there a priority system for donators on new releases if games are truly free?

A: Our games are indeed truly free for everyone, with donations being completely optional. Denuvo activations have daily limitations, and to ensure the sustainability of our service and show appreciation, we prioritize our generous supporters who help keep the service alive. This priority access is an estimation, and the donator-tier is only temporary. All games become free for everyone after about a week or two from release, with no exceptions. If you choose to support us, we recognize your help by offering you an earlier slot to play the latest games closer to their release date, but rest assured, free access follows shortly for all users.

Q: How can I donate or support the server and caretakers?

A: You can support the server directly to help keep it running and expand the game library by donating via: [Click Here]

  • If you're not requesting a specific game, your donation will go into our general server pool.
  • You'll also get the "Donator" role as a thank you!

To donate for a specific game and directly support a caretaker:

  • Check the list [Click Here] first.
  • If the game is listed, send your donation directly to the respective caretaker. This direct support greatly motivates them for their hard work!

To verify a new donation:

  • It is highly recommended to submit a request in the #New-Donator panel and share your proof of donation there.
  • Alternatively, you can submit a request in the #Haven-Helpdesk channel under "Donation Verification" section and provide your proof for our staff to verify.

You can also gift a Denuvo protected game. Just submit a request in the #Haven-Helpdesk channel under the "Account Donation" section for more information.

What we DON'T accept: Public game accounts / Game Pass codes / Server boosting. Steam Wallet codes might be accepted depending on the region. For further details, please submit a ticket in the #Haven-Helpdesk under the "Support Inquiry" section.
