The History of the World: Every Year (3800BC-Present)

NOTES:
- Vassals/protectorates are not shown separately (as a general rule).
- There will be perceived inaccuracies! It is unrealistic for a project of this scale to be 100% accurate. There will also be simplifications/oversimplifications for time & sanity's sake. You can constructively comment anything you think I missed.
- Many areas are derived or "traced" from other creators. A primary point of creating this project was (and still is) to see what it would look like if the creations of the videomapping community were put together in one world video. Although there are many areas that are indeed completely original, I do not claim every pixel as my own original work.
- This video shows actual control (as a general rule), which means unrecognized countries will appear if de facto control was established.
- Ancient lakes/coastlines, modern reservoirs, ice caps, etc. may be anachronistic.
- Areas will be "blank" until state-level entities form (as a general rule)
- Video may be subject to artifacts.
- Ideally the video would have had nation name labels on the map itself, but it is virtually impossible as 1) have to sacrifice territory visibility, 2) there is no convenient way to add labels onto each of the thousands of image files and 3) labels made within the video editor would bloat the video project exponentially. Hopefully the nation pixel rankings are better than nothing at all as a compromise.
- Presence/firm control in certain civil conflicts may be simplified.

Author's statement:
Of course there is always more things to fix & improve--a lot of things in fact--but if I went and worked in every videomapping video in history this video would never get finished. Something to take into consideration (in addition to having a job + graduate school + things that come with being older than a lot of people which cuts on the free time) that I did this project for fun and if I'm not having fun anymore that's when I will draw the line for my sanity. I still tried as much as I reasonably could to put care into as many areas I could and keep the accuracy standard.
(For the videomappers): One of the reasons I created this project back in 2019 was a curiosity to see what it would look like if multiple videomapping projects were put together in one world video, then it just grew from there. So indeed much of it's traced but that's the point which I don't hide. i edited the description so this is clarified more.
Hopefully, at the end of the day any concerns you have at least won't completely distract from having fun watching. :)
