TOON APPEARANCE

Oh Dandy, his outfit from before used to be so lively, now he just looks like a workshop worker, green clothes to cover the dust and sweat, gardening gloves that pretty much don't act as gardening gloves and are simply multipurpose, apron with the silhouette of his head with the colors of his petals, along with a pocket on the middle for quick access, PPE Boots that simply make him seem like an electrical worker, and last but not least his lime leafy tail, now usually covered in scars and tears that tend to heal quickly, but not as quick as new ones are to form..

PHYSICAL HEADCANONS

• Dandy has a long leafy-like tail that to the touch, feels exactly like a leaf, though recently there has been some rips and such. (This only applies if allowed, if not, then it's completely fine!)
• Dandy is a plant-based species, specifically that of a flower, as such depending on Dandy's emotion there can be visible thorns on his torso and limbs, the sharper and longer, the more emotionally altered they are.
• Dandy constantly dyes his petals, almost daily. He's insecure about their original "Pallid White" color.
• As stated before his petals too move a lot in accordance to his emotions.
• Before used to wear a more lively outfit, showing off his colorfulness, nowadays wears more of a technical outfit, with gardening gloves, long sleeves, boots, etc...
• Dandy was built, along with plant-based biology, was made and raised with cat-like behavior, including but not limited to, loafing, big stretches, rubbing against things or a muffled hissing when annoyed... (This becomes EXTREMELY more apparent on his twisted form)
• Despite his seemingly lackluster physical appereance, Dandy can actually be quite strong! Some have said they've seen him carry around 8 boxes full of stuff all at once stacked on-top of each other!!
• Dandy still keeps a photo of him and Sprout when they were both seedlings, though getting him to show you it will probably be a hardous task.

PERSONALITY

*Dandy is the embodiment of enthusiasm and optimism, the kind of presence that quietly holds everything together. He wears a near-permanent unwavering smile, their eyes shining with a warmth that feels almost uncanny. Supporting others isn’t an obligation to him, it’s instinct! He creates a space where children feel welcomed and valued, and he instinctively boosts his fellow toons whenever their spirits start to dip.

For a long time, he seemed untouchable. Negativity never appeared to cling to him. Pressure didn’t show. He carried himself like someone immune to discouragement.

But of course, nothing can last forever, and the day of the shutdown is the day his world shattered.

On the surface, he hasn’t wavered. He still laughs at harmless antics and encourages everyone to make the most of their day, radiating that unwavering “we’ve got this” energy. Yet the cracks are subtle but present. His hands betray him, restless fingers twisting together as though containing something unspoken. His petals give small, involuntary flutters at the faintest disturbances. There’s a tension beneath the brightness now, like steam building under a sealed lid.

He may look like the only one unaffected by the shift around them, the same steady light he’s always been. But what he shows and what he feels are no longer the same. And the difference between those two things is growing harder to hide.*

MENTAL HEADCANONS

• Dandy wears gardening gloves out of shame for his paws, now mostly seeming as nothing else but a burden to him.
• Dandy often attempts to reject his "cat-like" nature, however this behavior seems hardcored into him.
• Despite his ever so lasting desire for constant attention for others, Dandy also craves to be alone at times.
• He cannot take, or seems to not take anything seriously, playing jokes in the middle of a serious situation or even keeping his quirky tone and cartoony persona
• Physically cannot function without classical music playing, he always has to bring it along with him, and if not, hum it.
• He does hate lying to his friends, which is why he cannot help but feel disgusted in himself for doing it in the first place, but his ideals overtake his morals...

These are things that Dandy does, both as a stim, anxiety or something when provoked. These are also some habits he has gotten into the routine of doing that he cannot seem to break.

FIDGETING

Dandy struggles to sit still, usually finding something to fidget with. Using his petals if he cannot find another alternative. This usually helps him focus and ground himself.

HAND GESTURES

Dandy speaks with his hands, using snapping or clapping when he is trying to find the words to use or if he gets too excited from something which is rare. Often times this can be bad as he can start using his hand for talking when he is in the middle of talking, so at times he can be adamant about having silence, plus he also just finds it disrespectful for you to talk while he is talking.

HUMMING

Dandy hums a lot of his songs that play on the radio, however when you listen in closely, you can hear how some parts simply don't sound like they go there, or that he often forgets some bits and pieces
