Crawl the Walls
You arrive outside of the Ruby Conference Center twenty minutes early. You check your paperwork again. Indeed, you are assigned to the Ruby Center location as a penalty for falling behind in Continuing Education credits.
It figures that you would have to be in the first group to receive the penalty since the rules were changed. Normally, you stayed on top of education and other professional requirements, but your year has been full of headaches and hassles. Continuing Education jail is only the most recent of them.
You call it Continuing Education jail but only time will tell if it will live up to the name. You hope it won't.
You grab your grande coffee cup, your bag, and your paperwork, and walk quickly inside.
You step through a double set of doors into a large, open entryway where light pours in from overhead windows. Many folding tables stand against a wall. Two attendants whisper together with their styrofoam cups in hand.
You walk to one of the tables and see clear baggies with a nametag and a mouth-guard inside.
