Vitubia Climate Revision
Map
Be noted that due to the lack of height map in the latest version of the map, the climate estimation does not take into account many of the smaller highlands and mountains. In practice, regions with high altitude might experience the highland variants of the climate marked on the map.
A note on monsoon
Rudimentary simulation of weather pattern indicates the likely presence of significant winter high pressure zones at the inland region of western Holo continent, eastern holo continent, and southern Niji continent. As a result, these continents will likely experience significant monsoon during the relevant seasons. This is usually reflected by the presence of large monsoonal climate zones (_w_). Another region of note is the eastern fetish continent, where the gigantic highland of /uoh/ (inplied by its icecap) results in a year-long high pressure zone, meaning that its surrounding region will experience offshore wind throughout the year. Due to the moderating effect of water, this is only noticeable at its western and southern fringes due to their distance from non-polar currents.
Significant changes of note
Southern Holo continent
Due to its increase in latitude, the southern coast of Holo continent will primarily be continental monsoon climates (Dw), where dry, freezing winter is to be expected. The main exceptions include the /ggg/ peninsula, where its low latitude allow it to have tropical-temperate climates, and the /hlgg/ bay, where the presence of /ggg/ peninsula likely reduces its monsoon rainfall enough to make it insignificant. The shift in latitude also causes most of its hot arid regions to disappear.
Inland sea between /nasfaqg/, /kr/ and Lazulight
Increase in latitude and revision of the influence of its gyre leads to its climate becoming more temperate (see Alaskan panhandle for RL analog). Its coast will likely be primarily Oceanic and Mediterranean due to Niji monsoon and the arrangement of landmass surrounding the sea.
Eastern Watamelon and /ahoy/
A combination of Niji monsoon and rain shadow from the central mountains leads to it having a Mediterranean climate, although the difference in rainfall pattern might not be very significant.
Northern Indie continent
Increase in latitude has reduced its hot arid region and desert to the southern coast of the continent. Humid subtropical climate is limited to the /vrt/ peninsula, with the northeastern corner of the landmass being dominated by continental climates.
Southern Indie continent
A combination of change in distance from the southern coast and revision of the influence of /tsunX/ mountain range leads to its more pronounced dry season and the presence of subtropical climate along the southern coast of the continent.
Fetish continent
Increase in latitude has changed most of its temperate climate zones to continental climates, with the exception of the northern islands like /ybc/ and /ag/.
