Third (Official) Clover Guild Character Q&A
Warning: Please write all entries into a text editor, refresh the page, then COPY and PASTE into this rentry page to avoid overwriting others' entries.
The rules are the same as in the previous Q&As: ask a question to a character in the Clover Guild universe (guildmember, NPC, etc.), and then the anons may answer it in character. Keep that in mind if they skipped over it; please show common courtesy.
Asking
When asking a question to a new character, write three pound signs (#) followed by the character name. That way, they'll appear in the table of contents.
Add new questions to the end of the list. Questions should have a Q1, Q2, Q3, etc. in front, based on which number the question is.
Answering
Answers should be provided in green text (>) below the question.
Please put your character's name in front if answering a non-individual question.
You can even have discussions on the answered questions. For example:
Gummis?
Character 1: I prefer smoothies from Spinda's Cafe.
Character 2: Red gummis are the best!Character 3: Blue gummis are better.
Character 2: You are courting death.
Categories
"Individual Questions" means you're asking a question to a particular character... self explanatory.
"General Questions" means anyone can answer that particular question, or it's a particular group of people like former humans who can answer this question only, and so on.
"Pair Questions" is something different from general questions. These are aimed at a particular team, or a category of character. For example, you can ask a question to Team Petal-Purr, and each of the members will answer based on what they think about the question (in character, of course). It can also apply to specific groups, like eeveelutions. (in this example, eeveelution characters like Adrian, Pirth, Beau, etc. would answer).
"Lore and Misc Questions" are questions about some lore about some characters, world building, and other questions about Clover Guild that aren't applicable to the things above. You may even ask questions to the authors themselves! (When doing this, write it as Chespin-anon to indicate it's the author, and use Chespin for character himself, to not cause any confusion.)

Adrian
Q1: Have you considered trimming your fluffy fur so people will stop calling you fluffy?
My mane acts as an insulator. If I cut it, it'd make it harder to contain the heat that my body naturally generates. I would if I could just to get you to shut up
Q2: Now that you've been an Umbreon and a Flareon, do you have any desire to try the other Eeveelutions?
No. I'm perfectly fine with what I am now...
Okay, I did consider evolving again into a glaceon once. It's get people to stop trying to get up close to me.Vileplume: What, you don't want Bellossom giving you another hug?
Adrian: No! That was fucking weird...
Enny
Q1: Has Adrian (or anyone else) ever tied your ribbons into a knot? And if so, how hard was it to untie them?
Well Adrian did it once back when he was an umbreon and could still use psychic. A few other people in the guild have threatened to, too. It's not that hard to fix though since I have full control of them. Adrian just threatens to burn them now, and yes he has done it many times
Q2: What is your opinion of 'shipping'?
YES! Absolutely love it! Although you might be surprised to hear that I'm not really into male/male shipping. Girls always get cuter guys in my opinion. Still, there are definitely boys who belong together. Griffith was always better for Guts than Casca, I will admit
Vileplume
Q1: Have you and/or Bellossom visited your mom again? I hope she's doing alright.
Well we saw her shortly before winter set in, just the two of us. She's doing okay but I think she's lonely. And she seemed a little nervous talking to us for some reason. Kind of worries me
Anyways, I talked to Bellossom and we kind of want to find her a place in Capim Town so she doesn't have to be out there by herself. Mom's just too attached to that house though, and I can't say I blame her
Bellossom
Q1: You're interested in medicine, right? Has Kina been training you, and if so, has it been going well?
Well yeah, I've always wanted to help people and my team unfortunately gives me a lot of practice. And I've been helping out in the infirmary pretty much since I started at the guild. Kina's taught me pretty much everything she can by now, but there are some things she can do that a bellossom can't. I kind of wish I had natural abilities like hers. I never learned how to use Moonlight, and even then it's not consistent like her Heal Pulse
Alphonse
Q1: Do you wish your black cloak was a different color? What's your favorite color, anyway?
Q2: If you could start over from the beginning, would you have done anything in Arcade differently?
Q3: Your partner's guilty pleasure is music. What's yours?
Bethel
Q1: Why do you like standing on your hind legs? How long did it take to learn how to do that?
Q2: Litten supposedly burst into flames when they shed. Is this true? If so, has it ever caused a problem?
Q3: Are there other bands that you'd want to go see aside from R.O.T?
Q4: Some litten can close their pupils like this when happy. Can you as well and, if so, why not close your eyelids like a normal pokemon?
Beast
Q1: Have you ever food poisoned yourself?
Not since I was a child reluctantly eating foliage offered by my mother, no. It was not a particularly enjoyable way to find out my true talent was heat-resistant fat.
Q2: Have any of the guildies besides Ronnie grown on you?
The general demeanor of the people here has unexpectedly simmered over the past two years, and I would owe it to the newer patrons bringing the average up quite a bit. Come to think of it, I have not heard anyone mispronounce "fortune" or say any of those strange words in quite a while...
Q3: How do you feel about the gluttonous eating habits of your fellow Muchlax/Snorlax?
Beau
Q1: What's the most complicated manifestation you can form with your telekinetic projections?
I've tried manifesting other stuff, but nothing really has the usefulness that a pair of telekinetic hands do. I tried making a set of steps once to climb up to one of the kitchen chairs out of laziness but anything too complex just makes me lethargic for the rest of the day.
Q2: Have you been spending more time cooking lately?
Cooking the apple crisp has kinda became my thing at the house, the guys seem to like it. I tend to help out a lot more, but I haven't taken charge, if you know a good recipie I could make, let me know.
Dav
Q1: You're keeping your head feathers trimmed short now, but was your hair short or long as a human?
Mako
Q1: Do you ever hang out with your fellow Munchlax, Beast?
Not really. I hear he's very particular with his food. Me, on the other hand, eat like your average Munchlax, devouring everything that has the resemblance of being edible. I'm worried he looks down upon me because of this. He'd also probably be suspicious of me trying to get on his good side, as he might fear I'd eat all of his ingredients for his meals. I'm not going to lie... I definitely would.
Bill
Q1: How often do you chase your tail?
I'm sorry, I just don't think this is a very appropriate thing to ask here. I deal with lesser habits and issues like this every day and my casual attempts at assessing patients with their species do not yield good results. In my mind, I try to see everyone as human, even if they are natives and not that in a literal sense. I may get urges every once in a while that I'd rather not pay any mind to, but I don't think that concerns anyone. I'll tell you more in private if you are earnestly curious in behaviors like these.
Q2: How often do you give out hugs? Is it part of your job?
I can... well... sure. I do it often enough. It's a good exercise that seems to cheer people up. Admittedly I'm well aware of how I may come across and the positive effect that can have on people. If you read this though, no, I'm not going to hug you just because you asked me out of the blue.
Q3: Who are some of the worst patients you've had to deal with?
I wish the Umbreon that came here once the best of luck.
Gill
Q1: How often do you chase your tail?
A lot!
Q2: Do you accept pets? What about belly rubs?
Petting is nice. Not gonna lie, belly rubs would be weird, but I'm sure we could work it out somehow if you really want.
Q3: Do you howl at the moon?
That's a common misconception. Canine instincts did not evolve from wolves howling at the moon. Wolves' habits made it so that their howl is specialized in annoying Bill instead. I, uh, did try howling at the moon once anyway though.
Blossom
Q1: I heard you were taught not to use your vines in public. Have you gotten comfortable with using them yet?
It still doesn't really feel like the right thing to do, but nobody else seems to think that. Having vines is a privilege not many are blessed with, lots of Pokemon would benefit from them more than I would. Our mother raised us to be humble, it feels like showing off to use my vines when I don't need to. My claws work just as well. It's ok to show off your skills when you're battling or exploring a dungeon. Mum says there's a time and a place for everything.
Q2: What's inside your bulb?
Shelby
Q1: What color are your eyes? And can you even open them, or are they always squinted shut like that?
My father always says I have his eyes, I think that makes him feel proud. Our eyes are orange and we can see just fine even though they look squinty. It's hard to open them any wider by myself, but you can see them better if you pull on the fur around my face, or if I'm wearing my glasses. I don't like to wear my glasses because they make me look like a dork and I'm NOT a dork.
Q2: Would you rather people think you're cool or cute?
Why can't I be both at the same time? It's feels nice to look cute and make other Pokemon smile, but I want to do lots of cool things and be tough as well. I plan to be doing a lot more cool things now that I'm part of a real guild.
Heidi
Q1: You're a canine Pokemon, but do you find it demeaning if someone calls you a good girl and pets you? I ask because you are a good girl and I want to pet you.
I don't know if "demeaning" is the right word, do you mean because I'm a grown up? You'd usually pet a child on the head, but I wouldn't mind if any of my friends pet me on the head, it means they like me. I like to be good, but sometimes I don't know if I am. If you said I was a good girl, then I would know I was being good, so it would make me happy.
Q2: How happy are you with yourself? Do you have any personal shortcomings you hope to overcome in the future?
Booker
Q1: You’ve had many human instincts replaced by insect ones. Do you feel less human? What is being human to you?
I... I hate to say it, but I do indeed feel less human. I mean, I certainly don’t look human anymore, and I have these Pokemon instincts I n-never felt in my old life, like you said. But I don’t believe I’m... inhuman now. Things have changed, but my old personality and memories are still there, and my previous life as a human hasn’t been... r-retroactively erased, so to speak. Despite everything, I believe I retain my humanity, if that makes sense.
Why, exactly? I suppose being human has to do with b-being born human. It doesn’t matter how much you change physically, or even mentally, because your history is set in stone. So if you were human once, y-you’ll never lose that human part of you. You’ll just... add new things to it, like how I’m both human and Pokemon now.
Q2: Are there any other sparring instances after Ross that you’d like to share?
I’ve had plenty of nice sparring sessions after that time with Ross. W-well, nice may not be the best word. My opponents usually wipe the floor with me. And some people outright r-refuse to fight because they’re worried they’ll hurt me too easily, which is... s-somewhat humiliating. Still, by this point, I’ve battled most people in the guild at least once. It’s good to practice f-fighting lots of different species, and it’s been a great learning experience for me.
Ross kept Minimize for a while, and he used it to spar with me several more times after our first bout. We’re rather evenly matched... j-just as long as he stays at my size.
KFC, being my trainer, has sparred with me more times than I can count. I learned valuable things from him, even though I n-never stood any chance at beating him.
Sneasel’s fought with me as well, but sh-she mostly uses it as an excuse to play around and mess with me. It’s more fun for her than me, but she always takes the time to give me tips.
Shelby is similar, come to think of it. She’s always eager to spar with me, but I’m pretty sure she just sees it as playtime. She always treats me like a c-cat toy instead of an actual opponent, so I usually decline to train with her.
I remember one time I battled Furret and somehow beat her. I’m... still not sure how that happened.
Also, I’ve trained against Team Buckler quite a bit. They have lots of experience and can offer a near-endless amount of helpful advice. Testa also finds it a bit amusing to see two Bookers fighting each other. Cooper and I have c-completely different approaches to battle, though. We’re both agile, but he’s much more precise and aggressive.
Q3: Do you ever wish to have been a larger Pokemon?
Y-yes, absolutely. Being small has been an interesting experience, but I’m sure you can guess there are many difficulties with this size. I’m very lucky to have a normal-sized partner who can help me out, b-but I wish I was more capable of doing things on my own. And every so often, something will happen that makes me really wish I was big again.
There are lots of things I’m unable to lift and carry without help, for example. A-and reading regular books is also a challenge—which is especially unfortunate, because I read a lot. On a similar note, writing at a normal size is difficult. I have a tool that lets me write at my scale, so I can still write without much effort, but then it’s hard for bigger Pokemon to read it. Not to mention, I’ve nearly been s-stepped on many times, and I’m quite frail in battle. Also, before I learned to fly, I was significantly less mobile and unable to see or reach many things on my own. I’m at least glad that problem has been fixed, but there are countless other issues that will never be solved, because I’ll be s-stuck at this size for the rest of my life.
For that reason, I’ve done my best to simply adapt and accept my new size. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve certainly become more comfortable with it over time. Being tiny is just a fact of life now—but I’ll fondly remember the time when I wasn’t so short.
Sneasel
Q1: With your partner being human, don’t you feel there will always be some alien difference between you two that you can't overcome?
Gonna be totally honest: yeah, I’ve thought about that before. Me and Booker’ve talked about it before, too. When it comes down to it, he’s an alien from another world, and I’m a natural-born Sneasel. To be fair, he’s basically like half-Pokemon now, so it ain’t like he’s a regular human. But still, it does sound kinda weird that we’d become best friends, and even weirder that we’re... y’know, a couple.
Still, I feel like getting hung up on that is dumb. He’s such a great guy, and he’s helped me out more times than I can remember. Not to mention, he’s the one who got me out of the funk I was in ever since I got warped away from the Island. I dunno where I’d be without him. Human or not, he... he means everything to me.
So yeah, there’s a difference between us. But we can totally look past that.
Q2: Your partner has grown so much over the past two years. How have you grown?
Oh, so you noticed! Yeah, he’s grown a whole tenth of an inch! I’m real proud of his progress.
Hehe. Alright, jokes aside... Yeah, he’s come a long way. As for me, I definitely feel like I’ve been learning stuff and improving myself since joining the guild. Training here has been super useful, for one thing. I’ve gotten way better at using Ice Shard, I learned new moves like Icy Wind, and I picked up all kinds of new strategies and techniques. Also, even though I can’t use Aura, Booker and KFC have told me about it, and that’s helped me be a better fighter. I’ve been able to spar with great opponents too, like KFC and Smith. Plus, I’ve learned a whole lot from having Booker as a partner. He gives me tons of advice and encouragement, and I feel like I’ve become a better person cuz of him. Less testy and reckless, and more confident in myself.
I, uh... dunno if you know this, but before joining this place, I was always beating myself up, worrying about what other people thought of me, pushing everyone away cuz I was worried they’d end up hating me. It was all cuz I thought I was a coward, and I felt like I needed to prove my strength all the time. But ever since we first met, Booker’s been helping me get over that. I still care about being strong, of course, but thanks to him, I don’t let it get to me like it used to.
Overall, it’s been nice to see Booker grow, and I’m also real happy with the way I’ve been improving too. Here’s hoping we’ll both get even better from here on out!
Cooper
Q1: What's it like having a beak?
It’s... certainly strange, mainly because of how hard and rigid it is compared to lips. It has some flexibility, but not much. For a long time, I had this terrible feeling like my lips were frozen solid and paralyzed, and no matter how hard I tried to move my beak like a set of lips, it only bent a tiny bit. It was like having an itch but not being able to scratch it. It was honestly really aggravating. Eating was tricky as well, and I often dropped my food or bit down too strongly.
Making things worse, my human muscle memory caused problems. My brain still expected me to have lips, not these rigid mandibles, so I’d often try to do something and my beak wouldn’t obey. I’d try to curl back my nonexistent lips to grin, and my beak would just seize up, for example. And for a long time, I’d always make a loud clack when I tried shutting my mouth, since I hadn’t figured out how to gently close it.
I’m incredibly lucky that Testa found me right after I woke up in this body. The natives thought I was crazy because I was struggling so much, but Testa always made sure to cover me. She came up with excuses to explain my oddities and hide my human identity, and she cheered me up when we were alone. Most importantly, she was able to give me lots of crucial advice because she has a beak too. That made it a lot easier for me to adjust.
Q2: Have you tried to help the Guild's other torchic out in getting acclimated to her new body?
(Will write this response after discussing it with Phanpy-anon)
Testa
Q1: Can you completely retreat into your shell? If so, when do you do that?
Kinda! I can tuck in my limbs pretty easily, and I know it doesn't look like my head can fit, but it does. The tail's another story. It can retract a bit, but it's too big to go in all the way, so I just keep it out.
I retreat into my shell when I'm sleeping (it's nice and cozy!) or if there's a real big undodgeable attack coming my way. And sometimes, I withdraw and let Cooper kick me at an enemy. It works best if I lay down some ice beforehand. Getting smacked by a Squirtle shell can hurt a bunch, and it's a decent way to help me close the distance so I can fight at close range.
Q2: Follow-up question: you go directly to the enemy in first place when kicked by Cooper, right?
Uh... sorry, I dunno what you mean. Sounds like you're talking about racing, though.
...What's that, Cooper? Oh! Haha! Thanks.
Yeah, Cooper just told me what you mean. No, I don't home in on enemies like a blue shell, but I wish I did. That'd be cool!
Chespin
Q1: Do you lift weights with your vines to make them stronger?
Not really. Wooper's already heavier than I am, and I can lift him up just fine. Anything that's too heavy to lift I can usually just whip or shove.
Q2: What is the comfiest meal?
That depends on the time of day, as well as the weather outside. For breakfast, pancakes and orange juice while the birds are singing outside. For lunch, the humble PB&J while sitting underneath a tree on a sunny day. Dinner, a nice warm soup, eaten while wrapped up in a blanket.
Q3: What was your favorite movie back in the human world?
Q4: You get to build your own cozy cottage in a location of your choice. Where do you build it?
That's easy, right in the middle of a forest clearing. Surrounded by trees while still having easy access to sunlight!
Q5: Have you learnt anything about being a grass type from the other grass type pokemon in the guild?
If anything, I probably know more than most of them do. Skiddo only really knows how to use his vines, which I managed to figure out on my own. Tropius, I actually had to teach a few things to! I don't really talk to Team Moonshine at all, and Blossom's usually too busy gushing over Wooper to give any advice. Cider doesn't know his ass from his beak, and Pirth is just plain insane. The girls on Team Moonshine might be my best bet if I wanted to learn more, but the other half of that team gives me some seriously bad vibes!
Wooper
Q1: Is your mom a good cook? What's your favorite dinner she makes?
Q2: What is your favorite human meme? Which humon gives you the dankest memes?
Q3: Do you like to swim? Have you tried racing any other water pokemon in the water?
Q4: Considering how cheerful you always are, do you ever try to cheer up guildmembers in bad moods?
d'Alin
Q1: Vaporeon are capable of completely liquefying. Sounds like an intriguing power, albeit weird. Do you have any interest in learning this technique?
I’d like to one day, but the only water-type ability I know – water gun – is just weak. I’m afraid if I “liquefy” I might just turn into water and not know how to turn back. I'd hate to have to be carried around in a bucket like the Guild's other fish...
Q2: Is the tail hard to maneuver?
I would’ve thought so, but thankfully I managed to quickly get control over it, mostly by some instinct still unknown to me. Hell, in water swimming with it is practically the most natural feeling ever! I will say, though, that since it’s so long I sometimes forget it’s trailing behind me. A couple too many times I’ve entered my room too slow and had the door shut on my tail. Almost as bad as stubbing your toe.
Q3: Are you a fish? Or a dog? Or a cat?
Yes.
Q4: Have any other birds captured your heart like Cory did?
Althi
Q1: The legends say a lot about humans having amnesia, right? Is it possible you could really be a human yourself, and you just don't remember it?
Firstly, it’s clear the legends are wrong. In those, a single human appeared and saved the world. There’s a ton of humans at the Clover Guild and not very much heroics going on there. Other legends I’ve heard say that the crisis ended whenever they disappeared. Either way, they all magically appeared, just like d’Alin at the beach Pirth and I found him at and just like every other human I’ve had the displeasure of meeting in the Clover Guild. I hatched from an egg and was raised in an orphanage. So there’s no way I am human, and you’re an idiot for even thinking that.
Q2: Humies or darkies, which is worse?
Pirth
Q1: Now, I'm not saying you're a Sawsbuck. You're a very handsome Super-Leafeon. But hypothetically speaking, if you actually were a Sawsbuck, what would it take to convince you of your true species?
aodnowich oiqenfoiqfo weoifepifhifhphf0wh0ehfoiwehfoihs fnfnaeif n vkdknssisi vnoauwbqq sofnkenf dncjch wojj hdhdhdh ofhoiakillhqhhioh shallshsd rnfwdeerlingine qandq wdkdhhhe snsawsbucksmnshs rg ru tj s(Hello, this is Arimis. Pirth doesn't know how to write on account of his blindness, so I'll be transcribing what he says henceforth. For better or worse, this will be word-for-word.)
Arimis here told me Reshiram embodies Truth, so it would take the words of Reshiram Herself to convince me. But since Reshriam embodies the Truth, that’s automatically impossible. “Oh well what if Reshiram does say that?” Then that’s actually an agent of Giratina in disguise and needs to be killed with the rest of the deerling that are an affront to Arceus.
Q2: How would you react to a Deerling or Sawsbuck joining the Clover Guild? Or alternatively, how would you handle being forced to work with one during a mission?
Ohhh, you must be a human! I say this because only a human would ask such a retarded question. So, when I asked d’Alin about Arceus in his world, he said there wasn’t any! Just some other god that didn’t even have a name. Just “god.” Seriously, humans are so retarded they can’t even come up with an actual name for their creator. Anyways, he said that there were things like “the devil” and “demons.” Kinda like Giratina and deerling. So, I’ll make an analogy for your backwards little brain to understand:
Imagine you have a lovely little home and then a demon wants to enter. How would you react? Exactly! You’d use your antlers and piledrive that Ph'nglui mglw'nafh h'chtenff Dagon into the ground! Same thing with deerling and sawsbuck! They want to join? I’ll give them a friendly tour of the outskirts of Capim Town. Are they there on a mission? Well, accidents can happen! Really, I can’t believe it’s this hard for you humans to understand.
Arimis
Q1: How tall are you? (No, really. This is an actual question.) Short for an Espeon? Tall for a Zorua? Different heights for the illusion and your body?
I… my true self is much taller than average. As my father is average for our species, I believe I inherited my mother’s height (among other things, her extrasensory and my exceptionally furry tail and hind legs). With that being said… I am still small for an espeon, falling on the lower end of the average. Since I am in it whenever I can help it, I try to ensure my disguise matches my body’s dimensions as closely as possible since it feels far more natural that way.
Q2: How many illusions can you make at one time?
Back on Mist, when I had no need to disguise myself, I was capable of maintaining up to three other illusions, if only briefly. A fact my father was rather proud of. However, since it is tiring to constantly maintain this…illusion, I have little energy left in to make multiples.
Q3: How many Pokemon are you able to mimic? Are you better at mimicking some Pokemon compared to others?
I am able to mimic most other pokemon I come across, but rather poorly. For most of my species, the illusion they don can pass only a moment's glance if the observer is actively lokking for a disguise, but even then it’s usually enough time to gain the upper hand on an opponent. However, since I’ve taken the mantle of an espeon for so long, making the illusion reflect the shifting winds against my fur, for example, is something I no longer need to consciously think about. To do so for another pokemon to such a degree is… exhausting to even consider.
Ikarus
Q1: Was being an alchemist an honorable position in your world?
Oh, doubtless so! While I aspired to become a knight as a child, such a thing was only possible for the upper classes, not mere peasants. An alchemist, however, relies solely on one’s wits, and I was fortunate enough to have been recognized as someone with potential by my patron lord. While I know not how much honor being a pyrocentric honey badger brings me, what I do know is that it links me to that stain upon my reputation, Cyndaquil.
Q2: Did your world have any creatures or monsters that didn't exist in the other humans' worlds, like dragons or sea serpents?
Hehe, oh do forgive my laughter, but what folly! The creatures present upon our cartographers' maps were mere symbols for turbulent waters, as much a fiction as the claim that Terra revolves around Sol! Perhaps the closest thing is the account of the battle between the stormwing and the phoenix in Camlann some twenty years ago, but that is mere metaphor, no more than an allegory for the war between the king and his son.
Elm
Q1: What’s the biggest flame you’ve been able to generate?
"Usually I can make them as big as my own body, but I avoid making them too big since it takes way too much energy and focus to be worth it."
"Well.. there are some situations where I can make much bigger fireballs, but uh..."
Looks away
"I would r-rather not talk about t-that!"
Q2: Who are your favorite guildmembers to prank?
Q3: Who are your least favorite guildmembers to prank?
Fern
Q1: How often do you get your haircut?
Q2: Do you like the cold?
Q3: What do you and Ciel do for fun? Or are you all business?
Ciel

Gus
Q1: How have you been? How's the partner?
Q2: Does anyone ever join you down at the bay?

Jung: oh! well those piercing means a lot actually they're..... i mean where the thing we had on our team when i first got into exploring has we where 3, me sasha and... well... i'd rather not... talk about him right now.....
Sara
Q1: How many pieces of jewelry and accessories do you own?
Sara: Clearly NOT ENOUGH!!!!
Q2: Is there any romance between you and Jung? Or are you more like siblings?
Sara: blushes W-WHU... WHAT !!!! i have no interest in Jung like that that's very weird even thinking about it !!! Even tho he's a mean blockhead that always gets himself in trouble like the idiot he is so i would NEVER be interested in someone like that >:(
Q3: In that case, what's your type?

Maggie
Q1: Favorite type of gummi?
Q2: Do you like more pairings than just Grovile and Dusknoir?
Q3: When is the last time you bathed?
Makky
Q1: How do you write with boxing gloves on?
I usually get Asana to help me write. I can do it myself, it's just that it's so hard!
Q2: Do you wish you were skinny, or are you fine with being… er, extremely rotund?
I used to be pretty ripped before I got dragged into this world. It's kind of sad to see how my physique has deteriorated, but I can do some stuff I couldn't even dream of before, so that's a good trade.
Q3: Are you a gambling man?
Gambling is the stupidest vice that man ever came up with. With anything else, you'd be getting a product for your money, but with gambling, it's just the promise of winning big eventually.
Asana
Q1: Why don’t you wear an eyepatch?
I'm not a pirate.
Q2: Have you ever heard of the one-inch punch?
Yes, but I rely on my kicks more.
Q3: Do you have a sense of justice?
I try to, but things aren't always black and white.
Q4: Would you sacrifice yourself for Makky's safety, if it came to it?
I would. He'd do the same for me. I can't count how many times we've saved each other's lives at this point, and I'm lucky to have someone like him working alongside me. A reliable partner is worth more than all the gold in the world, in my opinion.
Lombre
Q1: Is all the destruction you've left in the wake of pursuing Makky and Asana really worth your goal of delivering justice?
I regret it sometimes, but then I remember how they abused Cacturne's trust and manipulated him. They knew what they were doing when they brought that snitch in to talk him into surrendering. Besides, they're even worse than I am. They manipulated the Pokemon of the northern Sand Continent to fight for them, all to get at a single bounty. However, there's something that's been bothering me: why did Makuhita spare my life? I could tell he wanted me dead, but he restrained himself from doing it. It runs contrary to everything I know about the two of them.
Q2: What do you do for fun when you aren't pursuing revenge?
I haven't had much time for that, but I did used to have hobbies back before I had to run away from home. I was interested in geology, and I was quite artistic when I was young. Those talents became useful when I had to scam people to get by on the Sand Continent. I made pretty good forgeries of evolution stones, and I only got caught while selling them a handful of times. In a twisted kind of way, I was proud of how high-quality my fake merchandise was. I even sold a fake porcelain teapot to a Sinistea once, but to be honest, that wasn't my best job. I was lucky they were so desperate.
Q3: Do you really, actually need to kill Makuhita and Asana? Surely there's another way to resolve this...
Why should I give an ounce of mercy to the ones who exploited one of the few Pokemon who actually treated me well? You don't know how grave his ex-wife's sins were, in the context of his tribe's culture. Family and community, or as he called them, "kin", are everything to the Saguaro, and they don't trust others easily. He gave up all of that for her, and accepted her as a part of his family. She promptly stabbed him in the back and left him to rot. Betraying your kin is the gravest sin there is among the Saguaro, and is punished in one of two ways: stripping of one's name and exile, or execution. He could've recovered from his heartbreak, but then those two bounty hunters came along and led her to our home. They conspired to hurt him in order to get at his bounty, which was one of the largest on the Sand Continent in this generation. That's why I want them dead: they toyed with the emotions of the only friend I had on the Sand Continent out of pure greed.
Maxi
Q1: Do you use deodorant or any other items to mask your natural scent?
Not really, I mean, I don't think they have deodorant in this place, it is a fantasy world after all. Who knows maybe like a thing of it will just fall outta the sky or something, idk.
Maddi
Q1: Do you ever wish you were bigger?
A little... but personally i think i'm fine just the way i am... and besides, i wouldn't be able to travel around in Maxi's pouch hehe...
Mustel
Q1: Have you ever damaged stuff with your claws by accident? They look pretty dangerous.
W-well... More than I'd like to admit. The arrangement of my digits are a bit unwieldly in performing various tasks as well... I've learned how to manipulate objects with them in a pincer-like manner, though! S-some guildmon said it looks like I'm trying to use chopsticks... Sneasel gave me some pointers regarding that, but she has the benefit of actually having something resembling a proper phalanx bone structure in her claws... As for my claws, they're sharp enough to cut through stone and even steel under the right battle conditions. I've already left more nicks and cuts across the guild's various wooden surfaces than I could possibly count... Thankfully, nothing noticeable... I heard it's polite Zangoose etiquette to keep your claws folded back to avoid all of this to begin with. I've also heard Pokemon with sharp limbs tend to naturally hone or dull their claws by scratching at trees and boulders... I... I don't know if I need something akin to a scratching post beside my bed... Oh Gods, would it be embarrassing to let Serpes see me like that?!
Q2: Have you come to terms with being fat?
O-OH FOR THE LOVE OF! Ergh... I'm n-not fat! This is a natural weight for a Zangoose! L-look! when I flex my arm, you can clearly see I have very strong skeletal muscles! ...O-okay I'm maybe a little pudgy on top of that! B-but every Zangoose has natural padding! It doesn't mean anything! The species evolved it as an ablative layer against Seviper attacks! G-give me a break here!!!
Q3: How closely have you analyzed and examined your guildmates to add info to your book?
Ah! Well... Uh... I'm not certain I'm following any particular methods, I just sort of take notice of quirks and traits that tend to be more typically associated with feral behaviors and how they are integrated into the daily life of sapient 'mon... I've been lately developing a theory on aberrations between individual members of a species, and how it might point towards signs of exceptional hidden power or talent... Unconventional eye colors, fur patterns, moves, and abilities... I heard from KFC that it may be extreme mutation in one's "aura" that can cause these changes to manifest... L-like some form of metaphysical evolution. Maybe this is how regional variants of Pokemon come into form? It's beyond my current scope of observation... I doubt I'll observe a whole new species of Pokemon showing up in my lifetime! That'd be bizarre...
Q4: Have you gotten in trouble trying to examine Pokemon for your studies?
Q5: How's the library in the guild? Or the library in town? You HAVE visited the library, right?

Q1: Have you ever considered getting a sheath for your tail? It looks pretty dangerous.
Have you consssidered getting a muzzle for your mouth? It sounds pretty annoying! I have very tactile control of my tailblade, thank you very much!
Q2: Do you ever feel any jealousy towards Pokemon with hands?
I didn't become an expert at the art of legerdemain needing handsss... Tell me, is this your wallet? Hehehe...
Q3: What's the deal with the Capim Town criminal underground?
I would tell you, but then I would have to kill you! No, ssseriously. Capim's underbelly has relations to dissstant, but powerful families, syndicates, and dynasssties that would make you feel more unsssafe outside of mystery dungeons than inssside them... I'm... certain that I will have to confront those... essstranged aspects of my life one day or another.

Ruby
Q1: Have you put out any big fires lately?
Yeah, totally! The alchemist in our Guild tripped over something and caused a small fire when we was experimenting outside, but Team Bucket Brigade saved the day once again!
Sierra
Q1: Since you're from Maine, it's fair to assume you've eaten a ton of seafood, right? How do you feel about that now that you're basically a land-shark?
Well, it only makes sense that the big fish eats the small fish, eh? In all honesty, I donʻt really see it as something strange – maybe funnily coincidental at most. Heck, lobster and the like was really only about two fifths of my diet (heresy, I know!); I was more a fan of beef and chicken myself. You can thank my parents being Californians for that.
Q2: How are you adapting to having spikes instead of hands?
It’s been real rough. I really took for granted the fact that we have opposable thumbs and multiple digits; having to figure out how to grab and hold objects again is a major hassle. I'm not confident I'll be able to do much other than the most basic grunt work for a while...wait, how in the world am I going to be able to play any instruments with these things?!
Santos

Q1: Are you able to scuttle up walls and on ceilings?
Hmm... probably, if I gave it enough practice. I'd rather not have anyone walking in on me repeatedly falling off a wall, so finding the time might be an issue. The ceiling though, might be a bit too high up for me...
Q2: Do you offer rides for very small Pokemon?
Offering rides? No.
Q3: Would you rather have a lot of great friends, or one true love?
I had a lot of good friends before all this happened so I'd probably go with that.

Q1: Would you choose to evolve if you got the chance?
ďAlin: Well, I can’t be any more of a fish than I am already, now can I?
Althi: I made the choice, and I’m proud to be a glaceon.
Pirth: I was drinking one night and I got Arceus drunk as well. He was babbling and He let slip that there was something even beyond a Super-Leafeon… a MEGA-Super-Leafeon. I think even He’s afraid of how powerful I would be if I evolved again, which is why He hasn’t brought it up since. I have been keeping my ears perked for more information, but whenever I go out drinking Arceus just stops talking. It’s weird for my head to feel empty…ďAlin: Pirth, you’re fucking insane.
Pirth: Exactly! I am in what is sane! I’m Arceus’ top guy, after all!
...
Arimis: Okay, are they gone? Alright then, to answer your question: no, I have no desire to evolve. I do not wish to make myself any more similar to my father if I can help it.
Chespin: Did it already, and what a mistake that was! Being a Chesnaught means you're too big to fit through most of the doors in the guild, too big to relax atop a tree! The shell might have been durable, but it rendered my special blankets worthless! Nuh uh, I'm staying as a Chespin for good.
Wooper: I did it too, but... It's not right if just one of us is evolved! Having hands was nice, but I can get by fine without 'em! I wouldn't mind evolving if it meant I could stay as cheeful as I am now!
Ikarus: Well, from what I have been told, this form is the “final” one for my species. While I am glad to be as far-removed from Cyndauil as possible, this own form has a rather… unpleasant reputation of its own.
Seven Sins: No!!! We all want to be the least like Drew as possible! Plus, we all like to get thrown!
Sloth: No one ever throws me…
Envy: That’s because you’re a fatass.
Asana: I don't know if I would or not. On one hand, I want to get stronger, but on the other, I've already forbidden Makuhita from evolving and I don't want to seem like I am trying to upstage him. I solely don't want him to do it because I fear that his gluttony would get even worse.
Lombre: I'm fine the way I am. Green is a less noticeable color than yellow, and I prefer to look as inconspicuous as possible. Ludicolo are the opposite of that.
Shelby: It's not a question of "if". I'm going to evolve as soon as I get my paws on a Moon Stone! I'll be bigger and stronger and faster once I'm a Delcatty. I just need to convince Blossom to evolve with me when the time comes. Who wouldn't want to be bigger and stronger?
Blossom: I haven't decided yet. Shelby is desperate for us to evolve together, but I don't know if I want to. I don't really like big changes and evolving is about as big a change as you can get. Being an Ivysaur might not be too different to being a Bulbasaur, but I don't know that I'd like to be as big and tall as my mum is. I'm happy with the way I am now, but some day I might change my mind. I'm still young, so I have lots of time to figure it out for myself.
Heidi: I think I might stay the way I am. If I was bigger, more Pokemon might notice me for the wrong reasons. Some Pokemon think Houndooms are mean and scary. I'm not mean or scary and I'd hate it if anyone ever thought that about me because of how I looked.
Adrian: I've considered it
Sneasel: Yeah, totally! If I evolve, I’ll get even stronger, and you know I’m all about that. Trouble is, I gotta get a Razor Claw, and they ain’t easy to come by. I dunno if people do it different around here, but back home, every Weavile in the tribe was supposed to do a special ritual and get their claws blessed. Then, if they died, we’d take some of the claws off the body and keep them in a shrine. Whenever a Sneasel was ready to evolve, they’d take one of those claws and call on the spirit of the Weavile that it came from, and the spirit would help them evolve and give them power and protection for the rest of their life! Maybe it’s possible to evolve without doing the whole ritual, but even if it was, I wouldn’t wanna do it. Having that special bond with a Weavile who came before you is so cool!
Cooper: At first, I wanted to evolve so I could get my human shape back. But I’ve grown accustomed to my Torchic body, so I’m okay with remaining unevolved. Also, Testa wants to stay unevolved, and I don’t want to evolve if it means we’ll be at different stages.
Testa: Um... not really. I’ve thought about it before, but I’m fine with staying a Squirtle. Why? Well, I’d rather not talk about it...
Sierra: I don’t see a reason why not to, and my life will probably improve as a direct result, so sure. I hope it’ll give me proper hands and legs, though. It is going to do that, right?
Santos: Nnnnnah. Didn’t fuck with the ‘shaos back home. ‘Sides, I’m already pretty solid with my current form, so why would I evolve and then go relearn and adjust all my techniques and shit again?
Elm: "Kind of! I miss having fingers and I'm sure they would help a lot when I perform moves, but for whatever reason Arceus decided that Dusclops shouldn't be able to go through walls (and I don't like how it looks). So I would only go for it if I could go straight to Dusknoir or spend little time as a Dusclops. But at the same time I am in no hurry to evolve since I was... not young before coming here, so this kind of feels like a 'second childhood' for me and I don't want to skip it. Also, I'm not sure if I like the idea of having my mouth on my belly..."
Mako: Definitely not. If I became a snorlax, my days as an explorer would be over. I'd become nothing more than a sleeping and eating machine. As fun as that sounds, I'd rather be exploring the world and helping my fellow pokémon alongside my team and guildmembers. Can't do that if I'm snoozin' for days at a time.
Wimpod: Yeah, then I wouldn't be so small and low to the ground anymore. Having some actual arms instead of 8 legs would be real nice too, even with the lack of hands.
Q2: Favorite berry? How about your favorite non-berry dish?
Asana: Ever since I started to try new foods, I've found that I prefer the more sour ones. As for my favorite food, I'm still trying to figure that out. The culinary world is a surprisingly vast place. It's a bit slow, since I prefer to take my time eating rather than stuffing my face like Makuhita, but journeys aren't completed in one day.
Blossom: The best berries are the ones that we grow back home. I don't know if I could pick one favourite. I really like bitter berries, but that's probably because we ate them a lot growing up. My favourite food that isn't berries is leafy greens and dandelion flowers.
Shelby: My favourite food of all time is milk and cream, especially sweet cream. I like berries that are really sweet, like Mago berries.
Heidi: I've never been a picky eater, I like almost everything. Some Pokemon think it's strange, but I even like to eat grimy food. It's a good treat sometimes. I know it's not really a food, but hot coals feel nice to chew on. It's ok though because they can't burn me.
Pirth: Well, Althi and I both love pomeg berries, right?
Althi: Yes, it’s not the best-tasting but it does have a special meaning between us.
Pirth: Yep! For other foods, I really love eating grass and mulch! Especially when it’s nice and moist!
Althi:...and I guess I like to eat the donuts that are sometimes found in dungeons.
Arimis: Most berries I am indifferent to, but Chesto berries remind me of my childhood under the guise of rose-tinted lenses, so those, I suppose. As for my favorite dish, I must admit the human creation Ikarus and d’Alin introduced me to is quite good.
d’Alin: Ikarus, did you hear that? She likes our kyria! I’m going to presume with the Bluk berry jam like I recommended.
Ikarus: How can she not? It Is my finest creation yet! And so deceptively simple! Who ever would have presumed that cheese between two slices of bread, served beside slowly cooked egg, would be so delicious?! d’Alin, would you care to share the story?
d’Alin: It’s literally just grilled cheese and jam with the weird name you insisted on giving it. Sans the slur. I guess I’ll tell the story eventually, but I’m not really in the mood to do so today.
Sneasel: Chople Berry! I like the spiciness, and from what I’ve heard, eating them somehow helps me resist Fighting-type moves. I dunno how that works exactly, but it’s enough to make me gobble them up whenever I get the chance. I also really love mangoes, especially mango sorbet, cuz it’s totally different from anything we had back home. But you also can’t go wrong with a nice grilled Veluza fillet. growl Oops, sorry. That was my stomach. I’m hungry just thinking about this food.
Booker: Th-that growling scared me for a second... Anyway, I always liked strawberries, but n-now I really love Watmel Berries. They’re incredibly sweet, but they’re quite rare, and I could n-never finish one myself—they’re huge, at least three times my size! As for non-berry foods, Sneasel once got me a jar of royal jelly, and that was easily the most incredible thing I’ve ever tasted. B-but I’m not sure if that counts as food. If you’d like a more normal food item, then... there’s a place in Capim that makes an amazing honey-glazed fruit salad. So many wonderful flavors, and just the right amount of sweetness. N-now I’m hungry too...
Cooper: Just like the other me, strawberries were my favorite berry as a human. But if you’re asking about berries that didn’t exist back home, then I think I’d vote for Wepear. They’re a lot like pears, and I always liked those. As for non-berry foods, grits are easily my favorite meal, and they’re perfectly suitable for a Torchic to eat, so I can still enjoy eating them. I wish the other me was that lucky.
Booker: D-don’t worry about me. I used to be really disappointed over losing my ability to eat grits, but I’ve discovered so many g-great new foods since then—some of which are only fit for a bug. Still, it would be n-nice to have Mom’s grits one last time...
Cooper: I know...
Testa: Bluk Berries are nice. There was a farm that grew them close to my home, back on the Air Continent. My family was friends with the family there, and they had kids my age, so we hung out together sometimes. They even gave us free berries and jam. I’ve got lots of nice memories eating those berries and playing with the other kids. Bluk Berry pie is probably my favorite food cuz of that. But you wanted a non-berry dish, so my second favorite has gotta be salad. Veggies are great!
Adrian: Vileplume cooks well with cheri berries. I think the best meal I had came from that eeveelution family I used to know. When I first worked with them, they forced me to eat with them cause they couldn't pay me. I didn't want any of their vegan shit at first, but it was way better than I could've ever expected
Enny: I have no idea why he tried to skip out on it the second time
Mako: I'm a very equitable munchlax. All food are held in the same regard, as in they all belong in my stomach. I'll eat garbage if I have to. Oran berries are pretty cool, as they vitalize me on strenuous missions.
Wimpod: Yeah, then I wouldn't be so small and low to the ground anymore. Having some actual arms instead of 8 legs would be real nice too, even with the lack of hands.
Q3: What's your favorite/strangest book that you've read in the Guild library?
Heidi: I found a really interesting book about fossils and how to identify them. It's fascinating to think about all the things that could be buried right under our feet.
Blossom: I found a book with some drawings in it...that weren't very nice. I think someone from the Guild made it themselves. I don't really know if it should be allowed in a library.
Adrian: I know a lot of people think book burning is immoral, but some of the shit the humans write needs to be kept away from the natives
Ikarus: I scoured through the library when I first arrived, and fortunately there was a book (in the barbaric Anglish most others here seem to write in) which had notes regarding my species; that was the most pleasant discovery. Some time later I returned and found a tome with marked with interlocked alchemical symbols for iron. I opened it with great enthusiasm, hoping for some insights. I was... gravely mistaken, for I instead had a second lesson on my species' physiology.
d'Alin: For some reason a lot of people that wound up here had a desire for writing stories, many of which are cool. What I didn't expect was how that would inspire the natives here to write what are basically reverse-isekais, where pokemon wound up going to the human world. I had Arimis read some to me and, well, it was quite a surreal experience.
Booker: It’s hard to choose just one favorite book. I really love our library.
Sneasel: Neeerrrrrrd
Booker: sigh Anyway, this is an entire n-new world with its own history, geography, myths and beliefs, cultures... There’s just so much to learn! B-but if I had to choose one subject I liked best, the history books might my favorites.
And as for the strangest book, I saw one scholarly text that discussed mystery dungeons and ferals and provided some... unusual theories to explain them. I don’t know if any of the ideas are actually accurate, but th-they’re fascinating, albeit unsettling at times.Sneasel: I ain’t the biggest fan of reading, but I’ve checked out some books before. The weirdest stuff I’ve read has always been the stuff written by humans, but that feels like an obvious answer. Aside from that, the weirdest thing was probably this one book about insect anatomy. I read it to figure out what makes my partner tick. I learned one thing: bugs are super weird.
Anyway, my favorite books are ones with fighting and cool battles. I also like reading fighting manuals and combat treaties so I can learn how to fight better.Booker: Um, they’re called treatises, not treaties.
Sneasel: Neeerrrrrrd
Cooper: Like the other me, I enjoy learning about the “New World”, so my favorite books are about world history, cultures, geography, and so on. I like the history ones best of all.
The strangest books may be the ones that reveal differences between this world and the one Testa and I came from. I’ve seen maps of Pokemon Square and Baram Town that look different from what I remember, information about Air Continent dungeons that doesn’t line up with my memories, and even some different details about the world’s history at large. I’m sure there are even more differences that I’ve missed simply because I never paid attention to all the little details in my previous world.Testa: I always liked reading cookbooks. There are so many interesting foods out there! So it’s no surprise my favorite book from the library is this one cookbook. But not just any cookbook—it was written by all the humans working together and putting together every single recipe they could remember from the human world. It’s awesome! There are so many things I’ve never heard of! I gotta ask Beast if he can try making them sometime. I can even help him if he needs it. I’m not a bad cook myself.
As for the weirdest books, I gotta agree with Cooper. I’ve lived in the Pokemon world all my life, so I remember a lot more about our old world than him, and I’ve noticed tons of subtle differences mentioned in books here and there that he didn’t catch. It’s pretty strange...
Elm: "Well... People here sure are creative, to put it kindly."
Q4: Do you have any favorite spots in or around Capim Town where you and your team like to take a break from the Guild?
Booker: The guild’s garden is d-definitely my favorite spot. There are so many beautiful flowers there, with wonderful colors and scents and Aura signatures! I can’t get enough of it. And it’s only gotten b-bigger and better over time thanks to Minun, Rain, and Blossom. I’ve also pitched in and done what I can to keep it vibrant and healthy. Aside from that, the waterfall pond is another really nice place. I usually go there alone to relax and p-practice meditating, but sometimes KFC joins me, or Heidi and I relax there together. Sneasel normally thinks the pond and garden are boring, but if I’m there, th-then she enjoys coming along and spending time with me.
Sneasel: I love bars and pubs! And also taverns. Never did figure out the difference between those three words. Anyway, there are some real nice spots around town. My favorite one’s probably the Rock Juice Bar. It’s run by these three Shuckle brothers, and they have some great stuff. Even Booker likes it, which is good, cuz it means he can come along. They’ve got plenty of non-alcoholic drinks for him—he always gets sweet berry juice. Speaking of sweet stuff, Snover’s frozen dessert shop is great too. We go there, like, at least once a week in the summer. That mango sorbet is the best.
Cooper: The tallest tower in town is a nice place to relax. It has a wonderful view of Capim and the surrounding area, and it looks especially beautiful at night when the town is lit up. Testa and I enjoy sitting up there and spending time together. Also, it makes me think of our first night here in Capim. We climbed the tower and chatted about the stars and the new land we’d found ourselves in, and we promised to keep rescuing Pokemon and trying to make the world a better place. It was... a stressful time for us both, but being together definitely helped us get through it.
Testa: Cooper already said the tower, and I love that spot too. My second favorite spot is the bay. It’s a great place to swim around and relax. Cooper doesn’t join me in the water, but he sometimes hangs out on the shore just so he can be nearby. Also, Gus is pretty much always there, so I can keep him company. He could definitely use the company, the poor guy. He’s not much of a talker, but I think he secretly enjoys having someone else in the water with him.
Elm: "Any of the sweets shops! Especially with a nice cup of tea~"
(Crap, I'm sounding like a fatass!)
"Oh! And I also enjoy watching Capim and the stars from the guild roof, haha!"
Q5: Are there any types (or groupings otherwise; doesn't have to be a type specifically) of mon that you dislike in general? The answers are obvious for some, but I'm particularly curious about the rest.
Althi: ...
Pirth: :)
Vileplume: Ditto
Bellossom: Agreed
Booker: Um... I hate to say it, but I n-never entirely got over my fear of birds. I certainly have a better control over that phobia by this point, b-but my heart still skips a beat whenever a shadow quickly passes over me, or I hear f-flapping wings close by, or a bird suddenly calls out.
Sneasel: Man, screw Fighting-types. So unfair that they can knock out a Sneasel so easily. I also hate any Pokemon that’s really sturdy. I shouldn’t have to hit you a million times just to make you say ouch.
Cooper: I do my best to not be prejudiced against anyone. But whenever I see a Gengar, I... I can’t help but feel anxious.
Testa: My shell is tough, but I still gotta watch out for types that can beat my defense—mainly Grass and Electric. So I am kinda wary of those types in a fight. But I don’t hate those types or anything. I’ll happily make friends with them, as long as they’re nice people.
Mako: Not to throw shade at my teamate Dav, but I'm not that fond of fighting types. As a normal pokémon, I don't have many weaknesses, but those fighting type moves hurt like hell. I don't have many special moves in my arsenal, so usually when faced with a fighting-type pokémon, I'll have Dav and Beau get up close and personal while I cower behind them throwing rocks and thorns. Rock types also get under my skin. There's no reason why they should be resistant to my attacks. Ghost types, on the other hand, are cool with me. No harm, no fowl amiright?
Chespin: Aside from the obvious, Bug types freak me out a little. I hated bugs in the human world, but here? When some of them can be many times bigger than me? You don't know fear until you've seen one of those vile MONSTERS known as Beedrill trying to kill you! I know the bugs at the guild are nice and friendly, but it still startles me seeing them out of the corner of my eyes.
Human-mons
Q1: Were you a cat person or a dog person or other?
ďAlin: Big dog person. I… I miss a lot of things about my old world, and I know I made the choice to stay, which is something not everyone can say. But I do miss them, dearly. Strangely, those dreepy Ikarus deals with kind of remind me of them…
Ikarus: I was born into peasantry, meaning we had to eat whatever we could get our hands on, especially during the famine. Thus, I would rate both as terrible dishes.
Mustel: I... I'm not certain? My memory of my past is a bit scrambled... Being a Zangoose has given me a firsthand insight into being a cat/cat-like species, I guess. Although, others say I'm supposedly more related to a ferret or mongoose... W-where do these frames of reference even come? Normal Earth lifeforms don't seem to exist here, after all... I-I guess I'd say I'm a cat person, both literally and figuratively!
Booker: I'm n-not sure I really had a preference, but I'd probably call myself a dog person. We never had any cats, but we had a big dog when I was a kid. His name was Bandit, and he was m-my best friend... I miss him a lot. Sometimes I think of him when I look at Bill and Gill--b-but please don't tell them I s-said that!
Cooper: ...Hmm. I can see the resemblance, now that you mention it.
Q2: Why do you think you ended up here?
Adrian: At first I just thought it was bad luck. Now I'm convinced the universe is mocking me
Cooper: Unlike the rest of the guild, I actually know the answer. I was brought into the Pokemon world to stop all the natural disasters. At least, that's why I was brought to the first version of this world. As for why I was then brought to this current world... I honestly can't say. I initially believed it was just a random accident, but seeing as so many other humans are here--including my own doppelganger--I'm sure there's some greater purpose.
Booker: I think that's likely. It's hard to believe this is all just a... c-coincidence, or accident. I mean, in the past, humans always came here to save the world, o-or at least to fix some important problem. So if the pattern holds, there must be some s-sort of problem we have to solve. And if there are so many of us here now, the problem must be... un-unimaginably serious.
Cooper: Maybe. Or maybe the world's just overreacting. Either way, I'm sure the guild can rise to the challenge.
Booker: I sure hope so... I did have an alternate theory about all this, actually. M-maybe this really is just a mistake, and there's simply some sort of... leak between worlds, causing w-way too many humans to be drawn here. If so, maybe all we have to do is find that leak and seal it. It could even provide a way back home! B-but that's just a theory. I have to research it more...
Makuhita: Honestly, I don't know, but Asana has two theories: it's either some sort of phenomina, or if there is someone behind it, they were in a rush when transporting me. I was left in the middle of the desert to die, and I'm lucky she found me.
d’Alin: I can’t say for certain how I managed to be able to dream my way in here at all, but at the very least I can say with confidence why I ended up remaining here; to keep the promises I made to a mentor and a friend who gave his life for me and my teammates.
Ikarus: How fortunate for you, that you can return. I cannot, for it would seem that I toyed with forbidden knowledge in my vain attempts to try to unravel the mysteries behind the Lost King’s disappearance. A punishment from God, perhaps? However, upon further consideration of the reputation I find attached to both myself and the Clover Guild – not to mention the literal sin I find surrounding me – I realize this is far more likely the work of the Adversary.
d'Alin: C'mon, Ikarus, the Guild's not that bad. Besides, the dreepy are cute!
Ikarus: Would you like for me to reiterate what Cyndaquil and now Lust have said about you? The... "copypasta?"
d'Alin: Alright fine, your point stands.
Q3: For humons with tails: how often do you injure your tail because you forget it's there?
Q4: Is there a species or type of Pokemon you wish you'd been turned into instead? And is there a species or type of Pokemon you're glad you didn't turn into?
Elm: "I'm very happy with what I got, and so very glad I didn't end up as something without limbs! But if I had to choose one species for the 'worst thing to get turned into' award, it would be Slugma. Not only would you have to slowly crawl around as a literal slug without limbs, you would also be a crawling fire hazard! And you wouldn't even have anything to look forward to since evolving wouldn't solve any of those issues."

Q1: Some ancient myths and legends stated that humans came and saved the world. Do you get that impression from your fellow Guildmates?
Serpes: I wasss told many bedtime stories by my auntie on the matter. I took it for a pile of embellished feel-good hoo-ha as I grew up, meant to ssstoke the imagination, ambitionsss, and dreams of every 'mon from here to the frozen edges of the world! But... now? I'm not ssso certain what is or isssn't real on the subject. The guild is an asssylum of people who are really toeing and clawing the line on not ending up under a guillotine. ...Not that I've been a well-behaved Ssseviper myself in the past... But I have my reasons, and I digress! My buddy pal, Mussstel, on the other hand... He's the only one I've seen with some magical doodad that'd even remotely hint at something bigger going on than either of us. That book of hisss... What is it's deal? It's attached to hisss SOUL, for crying out loud! Is it really talking to him? Or did my Zangoossse friend take a real harder hit on the melon than I thought when we got launched out of Treasure Town's geyser... Even then, a lot of interesssting circumstances have been following us. That whole encounter in the Amp Plains was beyond compare, and then we had a lucky run-in with that masssked girly during the festival... I try to not think too hard about it; I've got enough on my mind. I won't abandon Mussstel even if it does turn out we're part of some sort of grand desssign set before us.
Asana: Frankly, they're all a mixed bag. Some of them are competent, but others don't fit the bill. For example, what would Cyndaquil save? Absolutely nothing, that's what.
Arimis: I am keenly aware of the ancient legends. I believed initially that d’Alin might've fit that category, but that was when I knew him alone. There are many, many humans now both within the Clover Guild and… from previous experiences which contradicts the consistent mythos of a single human saving the world. So, to answer straightforwardly… no.
Althi: Yeah, no chance.
Pirth: Obviously not! Why would humans need to save the world when Arceus assigned me, His Top Guy, to cleanse the world of Giratina’s agents?! I mean, maybe these humans are supposed to be my followers and help me kill all deerling and sawsbuck, but you’d think He would send me apostles which are far less retarded than the ones here.
Sneasel: Heh... Yeah, I dunno if I’d call the guild world-saving material. Don’t get me wrong—I like these guys, and there are plenty of good people here. They could totally save parts of the world by doing missions and helping people in need. But if there was some huge thing that was gonna destroy the entire planet and only the guild could stop it? I wouldn’t bet on us.
But hey, there’s always room for improvement. If everyone spent more time training instead of goofing around, making dumb human jokes, and drawing weird green frogs and screaming faces with glasses, I think we’d stand a better chance.Testa: Well, Cooper and I know what it takes to save the world. It’s hard work, and it hurts—a lot. But you can never ever give up, no matter how bad it gets. That kind of determination is the most important thing if you wanna be a hero, I think. Heroes aren’t any stronger than regular people—they just do a better job of dedicating themselves to their goals. Case in point, nothing really stood out about me and Cooper. Aside from him being a human and having weird dreams, we didn’t have any crazy abilities or anything. But we still managed to travel the continent and hold our own against Legendary Pokemon. If we could do it, I believe the guild can too! There are so many humans here, not to mention all the native Pokemon, and we have so many skills and powers between us. If it came down to it, I’m confident we could save the world.
Q2: How would you feel if you became a human?
Pair Questions
Fox Club
Q1: Why was Rain invited to the club but not Adrian?
A1: Fox Club representative here. Rain was clearly given a proveesional membership, which allows her to partake in some fox club activities (such as sitting in cardboard box) without the legislative power of a full member. Rain is also dues paying, and clearly fox-like.
Adrian is not nearly as fox-like as Rain, and even then, he has expressed disdain at the group's existence, calling it a "shockingly lame cult" and a "pyramid scheme."
Petal-Purr
Q1: Shouldn't you update your team name to include Heidi?
Blossom: I hadn't thought about that, but I think you're right. I don't know what we'd change it to, but Heidi deserves an equal say on what our team name is.
Shelby: I came up with our team name and I'm still really proud of it, but I don't ever want Heidi to feel like she's being left out. We could probably think of an even better name.
Heidi: I don't want to change our team name, especially not on my account. I joined "Team Petal-Purr" and that's the team I want to be on, it wouldn't feel right to call us something else now. I think it's a beautiful name.
Q2: What are your impressions of the Clover Guild so far? Has everyone been treating you nicely?
Team Cozy
Q1: Will you ever reach peak Coziness? What would that look like?
Q2: Why do you have so many enemies? Is it possible your team might be the issue?
Team Keystone
Q1: What's the most breathtaking natural wonder you've come across?
Q2: How do you typically choose which jobs you take?
Team Brave
Q1: You’ve heard of Booker’s counterparts – Team Buckler – accomplishing legendary feats in their world. Do you two have any desire to accomplish similar things?
Booker: I’d rather not become famous. I’m just... n-not really comfortable in the spotlight. But I do hope I can do some good here. Even if I don’t save the world, I want to h-help lots of people and make this world a better place.
Sneasel: I’d love to be famous! I remember being a little kid and looking up to all the legendary Sneasel and Weavile in the stories back home. I especially liked all the warriors who fought monsters and did big feats of strength and stuff like that. I always imagined doing something awesome and going down in history so I could be like them someday!
Q2: With how many “misfits” (not naming names) there are in the Guild, do you feel a pressure to perform well?
Booker: Yes, I do. I d-don’t like to say anything negative about my coworkers and friends, but... I’m aware that not everyone in the guild is as g-good of a worker as they p-potentially could be. Some people slack or cause problems around the guildhall, or even do things that d-damage our public image. I hope anyone like that will do better in the future, for the sake of the whole guild. Our line of work is all about helping people, so it’s v-very important that we do a good job for our clients. Also, a lot of missions involve d-danger, so it’s incredibly important to be careful and train instead of slacking off.
But I believe that even those, um... misfits, as you call them, will improve someday. Anyone can change, after all. Until then, it’s important for everyone to continue trying to do their best.Sneasel: Yeah, I care about performing well. Especially cuz I’m part of a group now. Especially especially cuz I’m part of a group of goofballs. I don’t wanna brag, but Lliam has said me and Booker are one of the best teams in the guild, so I feel like it’s up to us to gotta pick up the slack. I don’t mind it, though. More opportunities and explore and fight!
Q3: Are there any teams you are hesitant/refuse to go on a mission with? If so, why?
Sneasel: I think we’re on good terms with most people here. We’ve done missions with lots of other teams already. I like hanging out with guildmates and watching how they fight—and giving them tips or a helping hand if they need it. But I ain’t a fan of Adrian or Furret, cuz he’s a total jerk and she’s obnoxious. Furret kinda reminds me of Taillow, actually, just with less annoying singing and more girly accessories. But I got no problem with their partners—for the most part. Smith is cool, and Vileplume and Bellossom are alright, but Enny’s a total fa—
Booker: S-Sneasel, please be nice...
Sneasel: Hehe, sorry, partner. Oh, just thought of one more guy: Kris. I know Booker and him are good buddies, but I don’t like going on missions with Kris cuz he always rants about weird predictions that turn out wrong every time. Gets pretty annoying after a while. How about you, Booker? Anyone you can’t stand?
Booker: Well, I don’t want to sound rude, but I r-really don’t like being around Cyndaquil—which is a shame, because I actually like Phanpy and Torchic. I’d love to work with Team Misfits more often, i-if only Cyndaquil didn’t come along. And I agree with Sneasel about Adrian, to a degree. I appreciate how he stays focused on his goals and c-cares about being a good leader, but I wish he could find a way to relax and n-not be so... hostile all the time. It’s not healthy to be that irritable.
Lore and Misc Questions
Authors
Q1: Where do you see your characters ending up in 10+ years (in-universe)?
Vaporeanon: I can’t say for sure, but I am obliged to say that Pirth sees himself sitting at the right hand of Arceus’ throne in no less than five. Or whenever the world is culled of the deerling line, whichever comes first.
Flareon-anon: I have no idea where they'll be in a week, let alone ten years. I have very few plans so things just kind of happen. My only guess is that Adrian will eventually settle down because it's impossible to be as angry as he is for such a long period of time. There are only so many things you can hate
Makuhita-anon: I have plans for how everything will end, so I can't say much. However, I will say that Lombre's fate will be unpleasant, and about 80% of it will be due to his own mistakes.
Petal-Purr-anon: Their futures aren't set in stone, but I have a lot of things in mind. Shelby will likely be torn between her love for her home and her love for her work. She'd have made a name for herself in that time and would probably end up becoming the Guildmaster of a Guild she would found right next to home, so she'd never have to choose between the two ever again. It would be useful to have somewhere for her aging parents to come and live once they reach retirement age. Her guild would have close ties to the Clover Guild, but little to do with Wigglytuff's Guild in Treasure Town because she doesn't like him. Blossom's maternal instincts would only get stronger as she gets older. I could definitely see her running a home for orphaned children and becoming a loving mother to anybody that didn't have one. She may even have children of her own, too if she were to marry a husband that shared her egg groups, but she would still treat her orphans as her very own babies. She would want a relationship like the kind her parents have, built on mutual trust and respect. Heidi is definitely going to be a singer and performer one day, once she discovers her love for the stage. I imagine she'd be quite popular because she's talented and also considered "pretty" by the conventional standards of Pokemon society. I could see touring as part of her future, but Capim Town would be her home base for performances.
Ribombee-anon: I’ve given some thought to this before. I don’t have special plans for Cooper and Testa. They’ll probably continue doing rescue work until they retire comfortably. As for Booker and Sneasel, my current idea is that they’ll continue working at the guild for 10-20 years. Sneasel would evolve into Weavile at some point, and she and Booker would get married and get their own home in Capim. After they retire from exploring, they’d start up a dojo, using their skills and experience to teach the next generation about fighting and Aura. They’d also adopt and raise an orphan, who would be interested in dungeoneering and eventually carry on the family legacy. (Bear in mind that these are all still just ideas, and I could change my mind someday.)
Growlithe-anon: [Redacted]
Flygon-anon: One living her best life and the other long-dead. I’m sure you can guess which is which.
Q2: What's your favorite canon dungeon music?
Flareon-anon: Thunderwave Cave. Constantly in my head in the background
Petal-Purr-anon: I've never actually paid much attention to the music in video games as a whole. I'm usually listening to other music or watching something when I play games...
Vaporeanon: I must say that the Great Canyon is still my all-time favorite. If I’m just writing PMD in general without any specific theme, this is my go-to.
Ribombee-anon: I like Fire Island Volcano quite a lot. It has an interesting combination of instruments and a very cool and unique sound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH83aXI2mn8). It even gets a sort of battle remix in the game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv6zIi1ZS5o).
Flygon-anon: Quicksand Pit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWrY1CNen_o). Did you really expect anything else besides a desert theme?
Gabite-anon: Probably Ragged Mountain, but maybe that’s just the nostalgia from it being the first one I ever heard speaking. I also really enjoy the polyrhythm (or at least I think that's what it is?) going on in the background.
Q3: What are your favorite pieces of art and/or stories you've made for the guild?
Vaporeanon: My personal favorite story that I've written is The Stars, Like Dust and my favorite art I made is, perhaps unsurprisingly, I the one accompanying it. It captured a moment i looked forward to writing since I started the Team Eevee saga and the foray into admittedly amateur iambic pentameter was especially fun for me.
Elm-anon: Certainly one of my meme drawings like this or this one since I had a lot of laughs making them. The very first public full drawing of Elm I made also holds a special place in my heart!
But in terms of "art", I'm personally proud of this and this one. I like this "lineless" style, but it is hard for my lacking skills so I don't do it often.
