The Date? June 1st 1919, diverging from our timeline due to an outbreak of violence in the May Fourth Incident that backfired on the Japanese and Chinese Beijing Government. While Shandong is Occupied by joint Japanese and British forces, Manchuria has collapsed. North of the border, anarchy reigns as the allied coalition barely holds onto Vladivostok, and the Blagovechensk Bolshevik Militia feuds with the Czech-Slovak Legion. In the lands of the Rising Sun an insurrection in the Army and a Governmental Tribunal Backed by the Navy cripples the Japanese Command. It is likely that the troubles for the Chinese Government will only grow worse, but for now the Manchurian Thunderdome beckons...
