Tokoyami Train of Thought

First and foremost, the Tokoyami Ward is a hivemind of the local populace. This means that each natural born Kenzoku has a (functionally) intrinsic mental connection between every other Kenzoku that allows information and skills to be easily transferred and shared between the populace without the need with verbal communication.

The information being shared across the hivemind is present to every Kenzoku as a constant form of “background noise”, especially when the information is not being directed towards a specific individual receiving the information that is being shared. The strength and power of this information diminishes the greater distance between those interacting, so individuals nearby in a city and the surrounding area can easily communicate between each other, but one individual trying to communicate with another on the other side of the country might face some issues in understanding what the other is saying, this can be circumvented by having others act as a repeater to make sure no information is lost, but leaves more knowing on what information is being shared. A very notable exception would be Twap, the incarnation of Towasama, who can easily override all mental communications and force the populace into a unilateral thought or goal if need be. (There is more information about Twap in Government and Religion topics in the Toarchive, but she functionally only acts as an override and is separate from the hivemind otherwise in basic functionality)
The hivemind is a symptom of the radiation of Towa chuubanite, otherwise known as Towanite, and forcing connections mentally between Kenzoku. It is the result of the relatively high dosage of Towanite radiation compared to the baby’s development during pregnancy, early life, and radiation left over from their parents, and their parents, and so forth. This theoretically could be replicated with enough Towanite in a foreign land, but it has yet to be done.

As for skills/talents being shared, it is an active notion that must be occurring between relevant parties that take up a portion of the person's reserved mental capacity for it. If Kenzoku were actively working on the continued construction of the Tower, builders can easily be coordinated by one individual who has the planned blueprints by actively sharing this information with them on top of one sharing construction related knowledge, and another could ensure that tasks are easily distributed as a manager tracking the progress. This would ensure that Kenzoku could easily work towards a singular goal while ensuring that one wouldn't become omnicompetent from the skills being shared, as they would quickly lose the skills being shared.
In a military sense, individuals involved would still needed training in order to follow the skills/information being shared as they would be better used if some basic militia training was already in place. Only higher ups in the military would need to know specialized information about a topic and that could be divulged to the relevant parties during military actions.

One will naturally wonder, “what is an individual in a hivemind, or specifically, the Towamind?”, and simply put, they are the same as a typical individual you would see elsewhere, except for the constant “background noise” they would receive from being apart of the hivemind. A very basic explanation of the society is that while the Kenzoku are generally very courteous to each other and try to help each other, some are “superior” in a pure material/physical sense, and others weaker. (More in a future write up on society)

For occurrences when Kenzoku are far away from the homelands and its radiation, the Kenzoku do maintain the hivemind, but the strength of which is significantly weakened and will often be trying to connect with other nearby Kenzoku that are distant and forming a “secondary” hivemind, due to the great distance weakening the connections along with the Towanite not helping to sustain the connections. With great time and displacement from the homeland, the hivemind weakens within the Kenzoku and causes immense longing for return within them as it feels as something great was lost inside of the individual affected.
