How to play Burnout 3: Takedown's online multiplayer (PCSX2)

You will need:

· A dumped PlayStation® 2 copy of Burnout 3: Takedown (USA release)
· PCSX2 Nightly
· XDelta BOSRV Patch

Installing the replacement server patch

· Download the compressed file provided above and extract it, then enter the 'XDelta Patch for SLUS-21050' folder and run 'DeltaPatcherLite.exe'.
· Select your dumped Burnout 3 copy through the folder button next to 'Original file' and select 'Burnout 3 Takedown (NTSC-U) bosrv.xdelta' file through the folder button next to 'XDelta patch'.
· It is recommended that you make a backup of your copy before patching, so click the gear button and select "Backup original file".
· Click 'Apply Patch' and wait for the process to finish.
· When the process is done, you should see an ISO image pop up with the 'PATCHED' suffix.

THIS PATCH WILL CHANGE CRC HASHING TO E681D9AE - IF YOU USE ANY CUSTOM PATCHES THAT AREN'T BUNDLED WITH THE EMULATOR, CHANGE THE FILENAMES

Setting up PCSX2 to go online

Open PCSX2 and go to Settings > Network & HDD and check the button below 'Ethernet', select 'Sockets' as 'Ethernet Device Type' (or 'PCAP Switched' if you have WinPcap installed) and select your network adapter as 'Ethernet Device' (if possible, avoid using an Wi-Fi adapter for better stability).

Setting up network profile configuration

· Before booting up the patched ISO, disable Aero's Widescreen Patch if you're using it (or else, the emulator will crash when we enter the Network Profile Wizard), once you done that, boot it up.
· Once you loaded up a game profile, select 'Online' and then 'Create/Edit', hit 'Yes' and wait a bit.
· Now you've entered the Network Profile Wizard now, select 'Add Setting'.
· Select a Memory Card slot, on the 'Hardware Settings' screen keep 'SCE/Ethernet (Network Adaptor)' option selected.
· On the 'Use of PPPoE' screen, select 'Not Required'.
· On both 'IP Address Setup' and 'DNS Server Address Setup' screens keep 'Auto' option selected.
· On the next screen, type any sort of name for this new setting (or keep the default).
· Then on the next one, press Cross to save and skip the connection test.

Signing up

Boot up the patched ISO once again, go to 'Online' and select your network profile configuration. If everything went OK, you can now create an account.

Keep in mind that if you want to save your login info on the Memory Card, you'll not be able to do that if you use a Memory Card folder (this is a PCSX2 bug), you can ONLY save the login info with a 8MB one at the moment. If you get a time out error, the online server may not be working for now.
