hello! im azure, and this rentry is dedicated to my childhood dog whos still alive as of 4th march 2025!
about him!
jolly is a medium-sized unrecognized mix mutt we got from the shelter in june 2010 (specifically the 1st june 2010), he was only 3 months old when we got him! he is now almost 15, hes 14½. he is really, really sick right now: i dont know how to say most things in english, but he has really bad heart problems + lung/breathing problems and arthritis at the back legs. he constantly throws up almost everyday and it doesnt seem to get better. as ive specified, he is my childhood dog and i cant imagine a life without him (but i will soon.)
his past (pretty much)
we got him off a website of a shelter located in rome, and he had multiple siblings whos names all started with "J". every single one of his siblings are one-color brown or white & short furred and all togheter, but jolly is white with brown spots and really fluffy, unlike all his siblings! my mama chose him for that reason hehe :B
he was really social, he would play with every dog in the park! but then he got bit by 3 dogs and hes now forever scared and barks at EVERY dog, even if its minding its own business and MILES away. he was never professionally trained nor normally trained: he was NEVER trained in general, but when he was younger, he could jump REALLY high, his waist would reach my dads shoulder when he jumped!!

my dog is so fucking perfect, and i MEAN IT. as ive previously mentioned, he was NEVER trained (not even in the shelter he was in!!), but hes REALLY, REALLY PROTECTIVE, LOYAL, AND OBEDIENT. if i try hard enough to think of a defect in him, i could come up with NONE!! EVERY dog should be like jolly. fuck dude hes so careful too like, when i was little he would be scared of hurting me because he saw me as little!!! (even if he would NEVER bite anyone unless that anyone is hurting any members of my family). everytime i look at jolly, i think "fuck, he should be THE dog every kid imagines when someone asks them whats a dog", and its not only by the way he acts, but also by the way he looks!! medium size mutt and white with brown spots.. literal sterotypical dog look!!!

jolly most likely has a rectal tumor and if he does he will have to be put down :( he has explosive diarrhea almost everyday and he bleeds out of his anus.

he peed on the floor + had a crisis/epilectic attack due to his heart issues. he was breathing really hard. :( poor thing

according to my dad he slipped and fell while taking a shit, he didnt specify if it was a crisis/epilectic attack or just his legs giving up
